A good place to go watch a game. The place gets packed when big games are on. The atmosphere is lively and fun! The food is good here! The burgers and chicken wings are definitely worth getting. They have daily specials on drinks as well.

Great food. The down side about this place is the wait staff. Very short with us, didn’t want to serve us. Rude. Not sure I will go back.

It’s a dark sports bar across from the MAT on McKinney Ave. Covered patio, TV’s big and small covering every inch of wall space. So if you are looking for a game that may not be playing elsewhere, this is a pretty safe bet. They offer daily«specials», however Monday night $ 5.50 Corona or $ 6.50 Jack isn’t very«special» to me. Menu is what you would think it would be. The chips and salsa aren’t bad actually. Service is fine. It was a pretty average sports bar to me!

Great bar if your going for drinks. The character and atmosphere were good. Lots of tv’s if your going for a game but the food is terrible even by bar standards. The spinach dip was inedible.

Edited*. 2nd trip to Christies was much better than the first. On our first time at Christies we had trouble getting served. We tried to get drinks from the bar but were told all the«spots were taken», so we then played pinball hoping to get a drink and food, but nobody would take an order so we left without getting anything. After the first trip, I wrote this review. The owner replied promptly with apologies and invited us to try again. We went again(without contacting the manager to ensure an unbiased experience) and our 2nd trip was fine. Good service and good food.

This is a great Uptown sports bar. The staff is usually very helpful. Sometimes they are dicks, but only because they are busy. They have a decent selection of hard liquor on tap frozen on ice. The Blue Nectar tequila is a nice choice if you want to celebrate a touchdown. The draft beer options are okay too. Nothing too crazy, but maybe 20 or so to pick from. The TV situation is great. They have every inch of wall space covered as God intended. They also play the sound of the game, which is more than I can say about some sports bars around here. The bathrooms are fairly clean. The food is tasty. The location is perfect. All in all, this is a 4+ sports bar. Check it out if you have a game to watch. I’ve seen the Tide Roll and the Panthers kick ass on glorious big screens. You should too.

Good drinks, staff are always nice(and attractive:), great atmosphere and there are more tv’s in one place than I’ve ever seen. The food is impressive for any bar and the outdoor patio is heated which is nice in the winter:) I’ve heard it referred to as «The Cheers of Uptown»

Been coming here for years. Best food in uptown. Hands down. Bartenders are awesome. Always love on my dog and bring him water and sometimes food. Fun atmosphere. Favorite place by an easy decision.

The owner sent me the following message regarding a post on social media about a TERRIBLEFRENCHDIP Kevin, Wow, I honestly tried to reach out and make it right but it seems you just want to complain to complain. I walked back and tried the meat and it was fine. You couldn’t have had the worst meal of your life since you said you threw it away. And just so you know we don’t provide the sodas, the delivery company does, so they forgot it and that’s why they refunded it. I wish more people would just pick up the phone and call the establishment directly and complain to get things fixed. Everyone makes mistakes and we obviously didn’t have a good showing with you, but to go straight to social media without giving us a chance to make it correct just seems petty. Clearly they are not accountable to their customers and God forbid that you complain. The owner thinks it is my fault that my meal was bad… I encourage you all to look at the picture I posted and see for yourselves. Better yet order the French dip, guarantee it will be the last time you eat there.

Oh my gosh service is extremely slow. We had to constantly concentrate on getting out servers attention. We ordered cheese sticks– they were not so great. Got 2 buckets of bud light, I was extremely glad it was in the bottle bottle beer is my fav. And bud light is my fav. So win win for me. I got the buffalo wrap to go —- I absolutely loved it but what made it was the jalapeño ranch sauce to be honest. This place was packed but the great thing about it was that they have SO many tvs! Which means this is perfect for football season. It’s a calm environment for different people rooting for different teams to go to!

The Saturday night I visited, also happened to be the night of a UFC event. So the place was packed. Got a table outside on the patio. When the waitress first came to our table, I told her we needed separate checks.(There was 3 of us.) She said she would do it at the end. Long story short, food was really good! But service, not so good. Had to ask for a refill on a coke 3 times. Asked 3 times for a take home box. And waited 25 min for our check, and then it wasn’t separated. We were so annoyed by that point that 1 person paid the whole thing just so we could leave. I will admit that it was probably bc of the crowd for ufc, but I don’t think that can be the entire reason. Not sure if I would come back.

Went here with a group during the Stanley Cup Finals and really couldn’t find a place to sit. So granted the place was busy, but it taking almost 20 mins to get a beer and another 20 to get an appetizer was enough for us. We decided to leave and go over to Big Al’s across the street and had a great time.

Lots of tvs. Drinks are strong. Bartenders are friendly. Chicken fried steak and mashed potatoes were really good! Their salad was pretty darn good and the ranch dressing was the bomb! We will be back!!! Very soon!!!

I am sorry but I do not remember our server but she was very nice and was able to help make our bar crawl so much better. After we paid our tab, she wrote us a note and told us to go to another bar and give the note to the bartender. When we did, we got two free rounds. I really appreciate servers that actually want the people to have fun, even if it is not at their place of work. The food was great and the other patrons were really friendly. About a hour into our time there, we were buying eachother drinks. The food was great but a little slow. I will give them the benefit of the doubt because they were slammed that night. I highly recommend and bring your friends. The more people you have, the more fun you will have.

Sports bar located in uptown that shows the UFC fights and other sports as well. It’s loud inside just like a sports bar should be. It is also very smokey inside. There is a smoking patio at the entrance of the place, and the smoke tends to find it’s way inside the bar. The waitress was very nice and the cheese sticks were awesome. I’d visit again… on UFC nights.

Let me say I like Christies, but they continue to do something that is totally unacceptable for a sports bar — when the Mavericks are playing and a lot of people are watching you don’t take the game off the big tv and take the sound away midway through the game to put it on an Indiana college game just because a small group has their watching party there. This has happened on three different occasions during this Mavs season. The sad thing is it’s the owner making this decision. I guess he’s okay with pissing off the locals who come there a lot and want to watch the local team just to make these small groups who only come during watching parties happy. Again, it’s sad because I like Christies but I’m finished with trying to fight to get audio played for the local games. There are other places in Uptown that will.

Such a mixed experience. Location is nice. It was roomy. Not packed but not empty. Thursday night football, Mavs home opener, and college football. Waitress was slow, rude, and inattentive. She slammed our shots down and took her sweet ass time between visits. She wasn’t nice or social. Especially compared to seeing the waitress at the table next to us chatting, socializing, and being prompt and awesome with her table. Ours also had no knowledge of her menu but wasn’t new. She had to grab the menu and look on each order. However, she walked our«guest of honor» out the door like an old friend, which was nice. Drinks were extremely strong, for everyone at the table, but moderately priced. Depending on your tastes that could be awesome. I hated it. Irish root beer, Bloody Mary, and honey badger shots. Mediocre but again moderately priced. Food was amazing. I had a Hawaiian burger and damn was it good. It was huge, the burger was cooked perfectly, and the veggies fresh and crisp. Second favorite burger in Dallas yet, but I’m still new to the area. Gf’s brisket quesadilla was awesome too. Good meat and great cheese. The pizza looked and smelled awesome. My one concern here were the chips and salsa appetizer. The chips were dead cold, fresh outta the bag. I don’t expect gourmet chips from a sports bar but cold Bland chips suck. Throw some spice on those babies and heat em up. 2 minutes guys. Come on. The TVs were awesome and had a very good mix of the three games going on. It was my girlfriends grandmas bday and she loves the place and the mavs and at halftime they turned one of the bigger TVs to the mavs for her so she could see better. They also brought her a slice of delicious Reese’s chocolate cake. Real nice. Excellent service on that front. They don’t seem to make judgement calls on over serving though, as a guy next to us drank at least 10 draft beers over two hours not counting what he had before we got there. The first thing I noticed was how drunk he was. 10 beers later he wasn’t getting any better. Loud, obnoxious, and drunk as a skunk selfies all night long. Someone needed to cut him off. He was there alone at first, I hope he didn’t drive. Waitresses need to show due diligence. Overall I would go back. Service was hit and miss, and id like a lighter drink but I had no issue with what I paid for and we all had a good time. This could have easily been a 4.5.

I visited this place on the first day of college football while visiting Dallas, and let me tell you, it did not disappoint! It had plenty of TVs to watch any game you could imagine. It was also the Texas A.M. game and Olé Miss. The place was packed, so if you’re not into that you might not want to come here on game nights. However, the bartenders were on point that night. Drinks were served quickly. With the amount of people there, I think they did a great job managing the drinks. I really enjoyed it and would recommend if you’re looking for a cool sports bar, check this place out in Dallas.

Come here to watch a big game… they have so many TVs at every angle and the volume cranked up for the game of the day. I came here to watch the Stanley Cup and NBA playoffs and it was great being there with a nice crowd cheering and enjoying the game, and less intimidating than the surrounding bars/pubs in Uptown which either have less seating or fewer TVs with good viewing options. I didn’t try the food, but it looked like standard sports bar food grub based on the tables around me. The only complaint I have is that the draft beer list is pretty limited with lots of macro beers and only a handful of craft beers on draft, but they make up for it in a decent bottle selection. They should get some more southern craft beers to fill out their menu. Wait staff were friendly and efficient and work hard.

I hate Uptown. land of making you pay to park in their own parking lot and valet. I found $ 12 valet on a random Thursday night without much going on. That’s crazy! I settled on walking a few blocks and $ 5 parking instead. Christie’s was pretty laid back for the area of town it’s in. There are TVs everywhere. at one point I was watching the Stars, Mavs, and Rangers play. It was overwhelming and exciting at the same time. I felt like I was always watching the wrong game!

Cool place. Lots of TVs, attentive wait staff, and really good food. Spent 3 hours watching football with a group. We all had different t things to eat and there were no complaints. I had shrimp tacos. Delicious. It’s not a quiet place. Just a bunch of folks enjoying the game. I’ll be back.
