Easily a four star breakfast and lunch, and loved the waitress so friendly! Across the road from Union Station.

Perfect breakfast dinner/deli for downtown. Great staff, and wide selection of breakfast and lunch items.

Popped in for a quick bite before a full day of sports. Friendly staff and more food than I could eat for a fantastic price! The buttermilk pancakes were fluffy and the food was hot, I’ll definitely be coming back.

Fast service, delicious food. Breakfast is served all day. I had the eggs Benedict and will be back to try more. Conveniently located across from Union Station.

Stopped in an hour before this place closed. Was very clean and had a friendly staff! The coffee was still hot… even at 2pm and I didn’t feel rushed at all to order or leave. I had the omelette which came with fries and a short stack of pancakes for just under $ 10 and I could barely finish it all. Was not disappointed at all and will be returning for more!

We decided on this place because of the great reviews. We got here and the service was awesome and the food was so good. We got two bagels with strawberry and lox cream cheese, latkes and chorizo/eggs with hash browns and corn tortillas. We came at a good time because it started getting really busy. Also read some of the news articles on the owner of how she came to Dallas from Vietnam and worked hard to be an owner. Great story! Thanks for a great experience!

A proper diner with an extensive breakfast and lunch menu, however as is the case with many downtown eateries, this place closes in the afternoon. If you want a decent bagel or a server who knows what lox is — go to Cindy’s.

Great food! Great service! I was referred to this restaurant while I was on break from jury duty. The country fried steak and eggs were very delicious.

Kosher deli in big Dallas. Easy choice for me since I was in a rush and wanted something decent enough to hold me over on my bus ride to Austin. Not huge inside but has a good amount of tables, not sure how busy it gets here for that to be a issue. Has a a traditional kosher menu, sandwiches and some of the traditional fare you find at places like this. I got the matzo ball soup, it was one of the best of had. Heavier matzo ball for those who have preferences, had a great broth as well. Also had the lox bagel sandwich, great quality of lox that I would highly recommend. Bagel was very flavorful and fresh. Overall I was very satisfied with my meal, would for sure come back and rate this up there with other highly regarded delis I’ve been too.

What a life saver! Downtown Sunday morning and needed breakfast. Didn’t want the hassle, expense or possible disappointment of a brunch so landed here for predictable delicious breakfast foods. I’ve been a customer of the Central expressway location 20 plus years

good food, bad service. Our waiter rushed us, then refused to take the plates off the table and wouldn’t stop yapping our ears off. When ordering the pancake platter they told us we could not substitute the eggs with hash Browns. It doesn’t seem like that difficult of a request to me but she acted as if it was absurd. Not a bad choice if looking for a quick brunch in downtown Dallas.

Interesting combination of NY style deli options and standard diner breakfast and lunch options. The chicken fried steak breakfast was above average, the home fries average, and the service remarkably haphazard. Having said that, it’s a much better and cheaper option than any of the nearby hotels.

Popped in here for lunch before the crowds started arriving around noon. My server appeared instantly providing a menu and taking my drink order. He hustled the entire time I was there taking care of numerous tables and somehow keeping everything straight. Quite a variety on their menu including breakfast all day. I picked the taco salad and was surprised at the size of it when delivered. It could easily be split between two it was so large. The lettuce was crisp and cool while the taco meat was plentiful and hot. A nice juxtaposition of temperature. The salad was served with a tasty mild salsa and optionally any of their salad dressings. If you are stuck in the Hyatt but want to get out for a quick lunch, Cindi’s would be a good choice and a short walk from the hotel tunnel that pops up at Union Station.

Food was excellent, their bread was delicious, service was great! Like the retro diner type feel of this place. Found street parking easily right out front. I would definitely return if ever in Dallas again:)

When staying at the Hyatt Regency and not wanting to eat at the hotel, Cindi’s is the closest spot to walk to. Out of the HUGE menu, my boyfriend and I settled on the chicken salad sandwich and healthy delite. I had serious envy of his chicken salad though. Some of the best I’ve had! Celery chopped up well and I think it had sliced grapes too. I couldn’t quite put my finger on what made it so great, but I was thinking garlic powder. My sandwich was still good but I liked his better! Mine had turkey, sprouts, lettuce and tomato with their homemade Russian dressing. The dressing was yummy! My boyfriend didn’t like the potato salad, but I liked how it had a lot of boiled egg whites and a nice flavor. The cole slaw was okay. I always love when meals come with pickle spears! Even though the place was packed, we luckily got the last open table and didn’t have to wait. Our server was very friendly and attentive. We were in and out pretty quickly.

Solid four stars for feeding us without breaking the bank! This deli was in walking distance to our hotel, and we needed something quick and reasonably priced. We walked in and immediately got a table and some menus. The interior is pretty plain, but the service was great. Very attentive, frank when we asked questions(he told me some of the turkey is dry, thus saving me from sandwich sadness), and didn’t take long for the food to come out. We all ordered different things, and everyone enjoyed it. This is one of those places that makes basics really well, and that’s exactly what we needed. Next time I’m in town for a conference, I’m definitely coming back to Cindi’s!

A Dallas classic with a downtown location. I’ve never had trouble parking nearby, despite the location, even during rush. The location is small, so limited seating. If it’s lunch rush, the line at the counter for take-out ends up winding through the tables, which is annoying for all involved, especially the servers. I’ve been here a few times now, and while I love the feel of the place and the food is very good, the service is just so damn spotty. They never seem to have enough servers for those who are dining in. I guess that’s it? Servers always seem so harried, and it takes forever to get stuff. Last visit, lady took our credit card so we could pay our bill and had it for 15 minutes. I finally caught her eye, and she had LEFT our card sitting on the back counter and forgot to ring us out! The hell, Cindi’s? Food is good and the servers are friendly, despite being harried. She gave me a free cherry danish for the trouble on my last visit, but stuff like that shouldn’t be necessary.

This is a Dallas classic joint — Jewish-style deli owned by an Asian. That could not be more perfect. I had the perfect lunch here yesterday: half tongue on challah, cup of kreplach, and a Dr. Brown’s black cherry. That is my favorite deli meal, and this particular lunch was scrumptious! I ate every bite. The kreplach was hot, the tongue was tasty, the challah wasn’t dry, and I got a pickle too! The only odd thing was our server started taking our order, but when I asked for challah, she said that wasn’t an option, and I started to explain I always order that and she ran off and made someone else become our server and take our order. I guess challah seemed scary to her, but I know it was in the French toast sandwich Eric R. ordered so they had to have it!

The frayed old yellow one story that reads Cyndi’s Delicatessen looks a bit greasy and bummy outside but inside houses a basic clean cozy neighborhood diner with a dash of Twin Peaks retro and typical cheap breakfasts around $ 7, house made bagels(made at the Northwest store) a happy case of Danishes, and deli meats like pastrami. Coffee was maybe not as weak as I’d feared, but definitely not high octane, and with two poached eggs my tab was around $ 5. Opened daytime only I could still imagine writing some good poetry here or whatever work you might need(they have wifi) just show up before 2pm.
