A friend of our had a Tipsy Picasso painting class for his birthday at the gallery. It was so much fun. There were 18 of us painting and Daniel took us through the picture ion about 2 hours as we sipped on wine and had snacks. Daniel was so patient with us and great with helping each of us fix mistakes or improve our pictures. My husband and I lack any artistic or creative skills generally. We thought it would be so hard. However, not only did our pictures turn out pretty good, we had a blast doing it. I am sure we will be back again.

Daniel has been in the art business for quite a while, and coming from an entire family of artists seems to keep him inspired. He is always changing up the art on display and I love checking out what the latest piece in the picture window is. Daniel, bring back the gorgeous nude man!

Popped into this cool little gallery as I was taking a long walk around the hood. Have driven by this renovated old gas station(which is much further west on Davis than the main B.A. area) dozens of times, but have never stopped, so glad I went by on foot! The gallery is small, but has lots of interesting paintings… I came sooooo close to buying one today, and will likely go back and get it if it is still there. The owner greets you when you walk in, and a lot of the art is by members of his family as well as himself. He was very friendly, not at all intrusive, but willing to speak about the pieces when asked. My faves were the colorful abstracts. They also host shows by other artists… one was going on this evening, but I already had plans. Stop in! Look around! Support the Dallas art scene and artists!
