We had some delicious rolls here including one the waiter recommended which was not on the menu(crunch remix). We tried the cherry blossom, spirit of texas and volcano and they were all truly delicious and unique. If you’re looking for a punch the spirit of texas has a good spicy kick and the volcano was incredibly tasty with scallops and crawfish on top melted together with buttery cream cheese. Also loved the topping on the cherry blossom and the crunch the tempura gives it. The magical ending though was the crunch remix stacked with eel, tuna and another type of fish and stuffed with tempura shrimp, celery and other deliciousness(just look at the picture and you’ll be sold). Will definitely be coming back! I also had the yuzu margarita making my friday night complete, thank you guys!

I tried this place after hearing good things about it, but it wasn’t really up to my standards. I had the Deep Sushi Dinner which had a good assortment of fish, but it didn’t taste very fresh. I’ve definitely experienced better sushi in Dallas.

Really enjoy Deep Sushi. it has never let me down. Made a reservation but was a little late however the hostess was great about it and seated us. Pretty packed but that is a terrible thing. Atmosphere was awesome. Got a few rolls and they were solid. Love at first site is my go to.

FAVORITEDALLASSUSHISPOT, hands down!!! Tried many, coming from Philly, thought I’d find far more quality sushi restaurant options to no avail until finding this delicious place. From the variety, to the location, to the freshness, to the customer service… You can’t leave disappointed!

Fancy for the area. A little pricey for what you get, but reasonable with the great location. Pretty good service. It’s hard to gauge. I went alone and that tends to lend to worse service with there are larger tables. The cuts of sushi were generous but poorly cut but that doesn’t change the taste. Tempura veggies were delicious

I can’t believe I have gone to Deep Ellum all these years and never came here. If you haven’t come here get yourself in here now! The sushi was crazy good. I had the dragon roll which was fresh and well prepared. Its a very small cramped place but beyond that I loved it here.

If you feel like sushi while near Deep Ellum, this place has some pretty good options. We always order the cherry blossom and the volcano roll. At times the sushi doesn’t feel super fresh, but we’ve seen more hits than misses. The cocktails are not great.

Deep Sushi had me at hello. Their atmosphere is both chic and comfortable which not a lot of places can pull off successfully. A bonus being that they take reservations so our party of 4 walked right in at 7pm on a Friday without issue. Very nice. Street parking in Deep Ellum can be a pain but we got lucky and found one nearby. It always surprises me how much this area has grown. It’s all of five minutes from downtown so ideal if you want to grab a bite before or after a game/concert. Plenty of places stay open late over here which is cool. They placed us at a table near the bar and surprisingly we could hear each other just fine without yelling even though they were packed. I got a cold white peach sake($ 5– non HH) that was sweet and light, but the flute glass was only filled halfway which annoyed me. Most cocktails start at $ 10, but at least those are filled to the top of the glass from what I could tell. For starters we ordered the agedashi tofu along with spring rolls and both were excellent. Cooked perfectly with great flavor and yummy sauces. The rolls we shared were pretty stellar too. We picked avocado, shrimp tempura, spicy tuna, and Cajun. We both agreed it was the best sushi either of us had had for quite a while. I joined their free VIP club online when I got home that promises to inform you of fun happenings and special deals as well as send birthday and anniversary surprises. They also have a secret menu you can ask your server about that sounds intriguing.

Love this place!!! Amazing food, impeccable service, and fantastic atmosphere. I honestly think it’s the best sushi in Dallas. And the bartender Freddy is awesome! Attentive, fun, and attentive.

Had a great time here this evening with my best friends. We ordered the edamame, the combo tempura, the cherry blossom roll, the love at first sight and the firecracker roll with cream cheese. Absolutely fantastic! I’m not a big fan of spicy foods, but I really liked the firecracker. We loved the other two! We ubered here but I doubt parking is too bad. We came on a Monday and they had $ 5 glasses all evening! Best part was Mimi, our waitress. She was super accompanying, friendly and literally one of the best servers I’ve ever had. Great job!

LOVE Deep Sushi! The Cherry Blossom roll is my favorite along with the Ahi Tuna Tower. I’ve come here a lot for friends’ birthdays and work functions. Everyone loves the ambiance inside the restaurant and the staff is very friendly. The drinks are awesome — I usually go for a nice glass of Pinot Noir or get a Cosmo! I would highly recommend this place. The only con would be the parking — I wish they had Valet, then it would be perfect!

My husband and I love Deep Sushi. They have a varied menu and the wait staff is great. I signed up for the VIP list and it has only been awesome. They email me coupons on my birthday and when they have VIP events. For example, we ate there on a recent VIP night and the rolls were only $ 5 each! My husband especially loves the Dragon Lady roll even though it is hot enough to blow his head off. Every time he orders it, the waiter double and triple checks that he understands how spicy it is. They also have a pretty good wine list and the interior décor is great.

The sushi here is pretty good. Actually, this is one of the best places in Dallas for sushi. All the rolls have good flavors. They have half price rolls and sake night which is always a plus. The cost is pretty normal for a Dallas sushi place. Typically not too busy and in my experience when I’ve had to, the wait hasn’t been long — maybe 10 minutes. An odd thing that I did notice — the bathroom was made for someone that was like 7 ft tall… kinda funny. Parking here kinda sucks so Über.

These tips and this rating were a no brainer! I have eaten at EVERY sushi restaurant in the Dallas area. Why you ask? Because I crave it. I’m truly addicted! I love these guys for a few reasons. 1) They are busy all of the time. This is important, as it means the fish is ALWAYS fresh people! 2) The staff is on point and very nice. They also know there stuff when it comes to sushi and will give you great recommendations if asked. 3) Great atmosphere in the coolest part of Deep Ellum 4) Patio, Patio & More Patio! They have a great new patio that just opened and it is awesome! 5) Selection is key and they have plenty. They also have specials every day and they will usually knock your socks off!(assuming you took your shoes off before entering:) The reason this place gets 5 stars from me is because they are the whole package. Great food, service, atmosphere and they mix one heck of a cocktail and have an amazing saki selection. Tips: Appetizer: Dumplings, Ahi Tower & Baked Mussels Roll: Firecracker, Cherry Blossom & Love at First Sight Get raw: The white tuna is amazing for the true raw fish fans. Dessert: Leave room for the Green Tea ice cream… Trust me!

We dropped into Deep Sushi on a Wednesday night for a late 9:30pm dinner and were afraid we would be closing the restaurant down. To our surprise, the restaurant was packed and was still quite lively. Their spicy edamame is indeed spicy. If you like heat, definitely give it a try. If you can’t handle much spice, go with the regular edamame. The Love at First Sight Roll was amazing and the other rolls and sushi we ordered were decent.

When we walked in this place, it was extremely packed! We arrived at 8:09 and the hostess told us if we could eat and get out by 9– then we could get a table because they had a big table at 9:30 with reservations. Rubbed me the wrong way but we sat down anyways! I felt like I was in such a rush that I hurried through the menu! We got the spicy edamame which was okay. Then we got the blanco roll– loved it. We also got two other rolls I forgot the name of but they were good too. Sushi was just in general great. Service was great too. Just wish I could’ve taken my time

Great atmosphere and great sushi! We went on a Saturday night so it was pretty busy, but I think we shortened our wait by sitting at the sushi bar — which also made our sushi come out super fast, so that was pretty awesome. We had the Snow White roll, crunchy roll, the cherry blossom and… one more that I can’t remember. They were all good, but I think the cherry blossom was my favorite! Totally unique and really good. If you’re hanging out in Deep Ellum, Deep Sushi is definitely a great place to check out.

Where do I begin with this place!!! I discovered this little sushi joint with a couple of friends while we were in high school. The Deep Ellum area was a popular place for bands to play, and me and my friends would eat here either before or after the shows. I didn’t realize how great their sushi was until I ventured out and tried more sushi places. I don’t bother with anymore sushi places when I have a sushi craving! This place has it all! I always recommend it to all of my friends, or I personally take them there to try it out and every single one of them has fallen in love just as I have! I recommend the Volcano roll which is topped with scallops, the Eel roll, and of course the Philadelphia roll for anyone not into extravagant sushi. They know how to make any combination taste absolutely wonderful! Pair that with the Asahi Dark beer and your night will be made! The service is great and I’ve never been ignored by any waiter. The experience is better suited in the night time, and they ALWAYS play really good music. I promise you if you love sushi, YOUWILLNEVERBEDISAPPOINTED!

Deep Sushi is in the heart of Deep Ellum and boasts that Los Angeles(Silver Lake) artsy and edgy aura. The sushi itself was fresh, flavorful and full of creativity, however the prices are outrageous. For a roll(approximately 6 – 9 pieces) Deep Sushi charges $ 14 – 19! There are renowned locales in SoCal that charge less and are way better. In addition, the servers and staff as a whole, is not overly nice or pleasant to be around. My date(and I) asked to switch tables so we weren’t against the wall, and the server who was tending to that section, got very«smart-ass» and piercingly rude at our request because she would lose out on the service and potential tip. Unimpressive selfish. Isn’t this Texas(the ‘Deep South’) after all? Where is the hospitality?!
