The food looks good, however I haven’t tasted it myself. However, this is a hot spot for salsa dancing on Sunday nights! They have a great DJ who plays lots of salsa music! If you like to dance, come here! Music starts before 8:00pm and goes until 2am.

To be fair, I tried only one thing here — the fried corn quesadilla since I had loved the ones I tried down on Cedar Springs in Oak Lawn area. And the fried quesadillas here is more expensive, maybe slightly a little longer, but also thinner. The tinga de pollo filling(shredded chicken breast in onion marinated in chipotle sauce) was lacking in flavor because they were unfortunately not well marinated because it was not shredded enough. It was nice that it came with Oaxaca cheese. But it was less of a meal to eat with the hand since here they drizzled sauce and crumbled fresco cheese on it. Another difference here is that in making the fried quesadillas, they used a large sized, already made corn flour tortillas to fry instead of closing it up the uncooked dough like an empanada and then frying, so it did open up apart after some few bites. The one at Quesa doesn’t do this. But overall, I did like the menu. And did see the tacos and gorditas that were brought out. And saw a wide selection of Mexican tortas, including the Cubana. They had everything as far as authentic Mexican street food goes. The only thing is that it’s half restaurant, and half bar. And I don’t know if it’s because of the overhead costs of such a large place or if it’s just not pulling the people it needs to pay bills because of the desolate strip mall it’s in — but the prices are more than what you’d think for a street food parlor. They do have happy hours and specials for drinks which means margaritas at a reasonable price(but still more than $ 4 a cup I’ve seen in some places around town). But the food is not bad. It’s prepared traditionally and well. Just again, not the best. And definitely not the worst. I hope they reflect on this and maybe downsize in order to offer the food at better prices. Or that they start offering more to their Mexican street food options. I would give an additional star if this was addressed. Service: friendly Atmosphere: party nightlife atmosphere with fast food(reminds me of the late night Colombian Los Perros in Miami, in appearance)

One of the best Micheladas I’ve had in DFW! In case you don’t know, it’s basically your choice of beer mixed with spicy tomato juice and other good stuff. Definitely a must try. I had the Pastora Torta, meat was super flavorful and tender. It could be a bit bigger for the price but it’s still worth getting. They also have salsa dancing at night which I’ve heard is pretty fun.

Food is ok, table salsa is good, portions are small for the price. More than I like to pay for«Mexican food»…guess they are trying to pay for that liquor license.

If you truly want some GREAT Mexican street tacos, this My friends is the place. I love how welcoming the waitresses are. They don’t know Me by name but they always recognize Me and treat Me like a valued custoner. That always brings Me back to this place when I’m in the area and hadn’t planned for lunch. It’s a must. I highly recommend the tacos al pastor on flour tortilla. It feels like they have a little abuelita in the back just perfecting these fresh made tortillas. Their green and red sauce… I have to take one bite and alternate each time because BOTH are that tasty! Their prices are super affordable and is one hell of a hole in the wall. I will be back :)

First impression upon entering was great! Keep in mind though we were morning customers and there was only one other person in the place. But I’ve had worse service in the same situation. First we were greeted right away and were told to sit wherever we would like. The waitress brought us menus and asked for our drink order. The menu isn’t too big but it looked like it had the regular offerings Mexican restaurants typically have. Its not texmex though. I was more interested in breakfast options though. My hubby was dissapointed they didn’t have shrimp tostadas. We were given free salsa and chips. The salsa is spicy and the horchata I ordered tasted homemade and not too sweet. Exactly how I like it. I ordered the breakfast plate with scrambled eggs and bacon with fried potatoes and refried beans on the side. It also came with the choice of corn and flour tortillas. The scrambled eggs with bacon were delicious, and the corn tortillas were homemade! So warm, soft, and not dry at all. The beans were cold though. Hubby ordered a shrimp cocktail. He said it wasn’t bad for the price but nothing spectacular. It was really good overall. I enjoyed my breakfast but hubby wasn’t as impressed as I was.

This place is just average. I love authentic Mexican food but this one is just okay. I like fresh food w good taste and this place just has an okay taste. I’ve had La Hechicera just around the corner and the Insurgentes place and it’s better. However, if you’re hungover this might be a good place.

This place was better as a counter service establishment. Now that it’s a restaurant, I just don’t feel like I wanna go back…

This place is GREAT!!! best torta I have ever eaten. this is a more of a family style diner type restaurant with full service and carryout. authentic mexican food… Not Tex-Mex I’m a Gringo from Ohio and I am not a fan of Tex-Mex to me that just means generic mexican food. Nice, Clean, Friendly place… they speak and understand english better than most american restaurants(thats a compliment) Try it… you will not be disappointed

OK, I must confess, I come here every day. Its close to my place of employment and the service rocks. The pastor pork is my fave! Yet, I reached a boredom, almost a sadness at the level of my familiarity with the menu. Until today! The waitress suggested a sandwich. «Oh, what sammich doest break from the light in the window?»(Shakespeare Smif at lunch) I ordered the La Cubana. Pork, egg, fried steak, Sausage, Mexican sausage and three cheeses, WITH avocado and mayo! In a day of carb counting, fat analysis, and lite errthang the behemoth came alone. No fries, beans, rice, nothing on the side. I lifted the lonely sammich and bit into it like a tax break in Long island. Wow! Breakfast? Lunch? Brunch? Wait where is the sweetness coming from??? I literally had to weep, I had yet found another reason to come here. You must eat a sammich from this place. And when you do, do it on a rainy day… so…no…one can… see…you…cryyy!

Decided to give this place a try but was disappointed by the kids meal portions size of their plates i had the gorditas plate with rice and beans the rice was really good everything else was mediocre at best save your money eat at the mall instead the service was good but then again the place wasn’t packed at all. Also saw that their special of the day was caldo de pollo for 10.50 that’s not much of a special if you ask me.

The portions get smaller and the prices going up, they need to make sure portions=prices!!! Las porciones cada vez son menores y los precios elevados. El pozole es bueno aunque no te dan suficiente condimentos como lechuga rábanos limones.

This was my second visit to this restaurant and it had been awhile. Of course I came back for the delicious churros and I also had a coupon deal from
Today I tried the La Nortena torta which consists of steak, bacon and Oaxacan cheese and chips. It was good but not the best torta I have ever had. They have several varieties on the menu as well as other great Mexican foods. Afterwards I tried a yummy churro with chocolate. Not sure if they still have the ones with caramel. The churros are very good but a bit pricey for one at $ 2.25. I would recommend Gorditas Los Comales if you are near the area but it’s really nothing to go out of your way for. Looks like they have had a remodeling and expanded since my last visit. There’s a full bar and a place for a band. The restaurant is located in the car park with Target just down from T-Mobile.

So, i have been a second time… I love the atmosphere, nice, modern and cool. The service just sucks, nice people but the waitresses wander around and are not very attentive. They need to stay on top of their tables. I saw her when i arrived, when she brought my food and when i paid. other waitress got my drinks for me cause she was never around. The beer is cold. Great place to go for late night, if your not doing anything and you live in that area. Dos XX $ 4 I believe they need to lower their prices just a little bit. They had a great singer there this night. Off duty Dallas police officer to keep things in order.

Visited here solely because of the 4 star rating in Unilocal and have to say I’m pretty disappointed. Immediately upon pulling into the parking lot a homeless guy walked up to my car asking for money. That is the type of area you are dealing with here though. My lunch started off with free chips and salsa. The chips were flavorless and stale. No bueno. The salsa was good and flavorful, with a good amount of spicy heat. For my main lunch I got 3 gorditas. They were extremely small and not what I expected for $ 2 each. Flavor of the meats inside were just OK and pretty standard for any taqueria. Tortas are 9 bucks. Tacos are $ 2 each. Everything on the menu seems overpriced. Definitely better places in the area and shocked how this has 4 stars on here. It’s a 3 star place in my opinion at best.

I love this place! I have been coming here since it opened. I love the gorditas and pozole! Reasonably priced. Service can vary. Food: My favs: Pozole served on the weekends — could run out by Sunday afternoon. Rajas con papa and mole for gorditas. Sometimes they have music which can make it loud. Otherwise, pretty quiet.

I only ordered gorditas. And they were very oily, greasy. The friend I was with said they weren’t usually so oily, so maybe I came on an off day. But the corn tortillas were soggy and falling apart because of all the oil. I liked the different sauces they had though. I would like to come back and try again.
