Have mixed reviews about this location. Food is always consistent, unfortunately the service is not. It’s a hit or a miss if you are going to have a attentive waiter. Chips and salsa are always great, as are the mambo taxies. Shrimp brochette is so good, as our their chicken tacos. Chicken melts in your mouth, can tell it’s been smoked or cooked all day. Inside is pretty nice as well.

My favorite Mexican restaurant. You cannot go wrong with the Brisket Taco’s or the Steak Nachos. AMAZING. The chili con queso is wonderful as well! Drinks will set you off just after one. The margarita’s are strong but have amazing flavor. If you are a female, heels and your evening attire usually is best. Men, don’t come here too casual, you will stand out like a sore thumb. Great for a date night, happy hour or a group setting.

This is an okay place… but for the price they are charging I expect waaaay better mexican food you know? I think you end up paying a lot for a fancy looking place, not a fancy plate. Either way Luna De Noche is way better!

I really love this location of Mi Cocina. It is so convenient to stop here for a quick bite while out shopping if you aren’t in the mood for your typical«food court» options. The service is always great, every server I’ve had has been very attentive and nice. They are a bit more pricey than average, but the quality of their food is a bit nicer so I think you get what you pay for. I have never had bad dish here, and the salsa is one of my favorites! I personally judge an entire Mexican restaurant on the salsa, and Mi Cocina’s passes the test. They also have weekly specials and a happy hour I believe, I haven’t had a chance to check that out yet but I do plan on it! Overall this is a pretty good Tex-Mex restaurant that I will continue to frequent.

Lack of customer service will keep me from ever eating at Mi Coccina again. When myself and 3 other co workers went there after work, we were surprised to learn that happy hour is at the bar only(not in the dinning room). I found this odd, because that wasn’t the case before when I had been there before. When we asked to speak with the manager to see he if would make an exception(since the bar was full and there was no room), he basically told us we could get our drinks ourselves from the bar and happy hour was bar only. The manager should probably have stayed working at the post office or some other government institution because that is not how you run a service-based private business. In the end, we ended up leaving and going to Grand Lux. I will definitely tell the other co-workers in my office(which is attached to the mall) to avoid Mi Coccina because of their flippant attitude towards their customers.

Sat at the bar. Bartender also has to waite on tables so it took more time to order food, waited on chips and salsa, waited on water. When the food arrived, my tacos were swimming in oil. Change your management method. Allow the guys at the bar to only serve the bar, otherwise it’s poor service to both your bar/table patrons. Not going back.

This is a fancy place, but it is loud. I brought my date for a quick dinner, and the place looked amazing and thought we should try it. The service was okay, not all that compared to some places I been to. But I did have a great high expectation walking in. The people beside me talked louder just to conversate. Fancy date material, but very loud. The food was decent, I had the chicken quesadillas. It didn’t taste super great, but does full you up. My girl has the brisket tacos, they did it was the most popular, but it is okay. I just didn’t feel this place add thought I would.

As always, I had a great visit to this nice, modern establishment. The waiters are generally on top of things and quick to get you seated and taken care of. I love the sunset enchiladas and the mambo taxis. They have the best guacamole in Dallas hands down and it’s not even made table side. I could probably eat all of the large serving myself I love it that much. I haven’t had much here that I don’t like. The fajitas are flavorful and tender and the enchiladas chili sauce is spicy and awesome.

It always happens, right? You watch the Olympics(or catch a replay of «The Cutting Edge» on TV…) and think, «When was I last ice skating?! That sounds fun!!» So you head to the Galleria, the most convenient rink around. And while six year olds are doing triple lutzs, you repeatedly fall on your ass. Well, once you(and your ass) have had enough humiliation) why not soothe your spirits with some spirits? Like a Mambo Taxi margarita from the rinkside Mi Cocina? Si, si! On my last visit I did not skate, and only had a regular margarita(though the waiter did try to upsell). But it was definitely worth the visit, for the queso if nothing else! There are Mi Cocinas all over, but this one is convenient for shoppers(or skaters). So even if that Olympic gold medal is out of reach, fajitas are right in range, and that is a pretty good consolation prize… right?

The server was nice, although slow. I ordered the Milo’s platter and a tamale. The platter was okay. The tamale was very dry and bland. The sauce was good. I’ve had better food at taco stands.

Great place to grab a bite to eat if shopping at the Galleria. It’s located on the bottom floor next to the ice rink. There’s two bars inside and a full restaurant area. For lunch I ordered the brisket tacos and a sangria. The sangria was huge! I was expecting a small wine glass but was pleasantly surprised with a glass bigger than my water glass. The brisket tacos were great! So tender and flavorful. Service was pretty quick considering the amount of people there on a Sunday at lunch. I would definitely recommend stopping in here for a drink or a bite is shopping at this mall.

Upscale Mexican food. Very clean I got the enchilada special. Came with your choice of spicy chicken, ground beef, spinach and cheese and onions. I got 2 beef and a spicy chicken both very good beef had more taste to me. Also comes with a scoop of rice. The chips and salsa were good the salsa a little spice not a lot and the chips were very corny in taste which is ok but not my favorite. My wife got fajita chicken nachos not what she expected but she said it was good. It was right next to the ice rink so you have some entertainment as well. Overall I would visit again.

This place is located in the bottom floor at the center of the Galleria mall near the ice skating rink. It’s rather small, but I’ve never had to wait for a table so that’s a good deal. I work in the office building connected to the Galleria so we end up going here a lot for business lunches. To be honest, the food isn’t great. There’s not a lot of flavor which is disappointing for tex-mex, but meh. I’ve had the poblano chicken enchiladas and they are alright, but there’s zero heat to them. The good thing about this plate is that for a decent price(~$ 10) you get two enchiladas, rice, and beans. It’s a filling plate and I rarely ever finish it. The same is NOT true for the brisket tacos. You get two very small brisket tacos, and a small scoop of a seasoned rice. It’s not worth the money for as little as you get, but it is much tastier than the poblano chicken enchiladas. Their chips are unsalted and have an overcooked flavor, but it tends to take a bit to get the food so I always end up eating some and trying to coat them in salt. If you get a cup of queso it can be worth it though, and the one with meat in it is better than the regular. The ONLY good thing about Mi Cocina is their drinks, I would only give them two stars if it weren’t for their stellar drink selection. They’re famous for Mambo Taxis but I’m not a fan of frozen drinks, however their jalapeño margarita is one of my favorite things ever. I always order it and THIS actually has some heat. I think it’s the oil from the jalapenos, but of everything they serve this has the most flavor!

I just didn’t enjoy this place. The enchiladas were blah. Nothing special. I ate a lot of chips. Service is so-so. I sat at the bar by myself and usually the bartender will interact with me more but he was busy talking to the other two people at the bar. Drinks are expensive. Nice location inside the Galleria and the ambiance is nice though. Maybe I’m not used to paying so much for Mexican food. I’m used to the hood establishments and street stands. Or maybe I like super real authentic food and not tex-mex. Whatever the case, I don’t think I will be returning.

Went to Mi Cocina last night for dinner while shopping at the Galleria. We were doing an experiment to see if we could see Meryl Davis and Charlie White skate at the Christmas Tree lighting event from a booth at Mi Cocina. There were a ton of people there, so we were wondering if maybe they had the same idea. Well. there were a ton of people stacked 4 deep outside the skating rink as well, so the short answer is-NO you CANNOT see the action on the rink for this event or probably any other event where people are stacked up around the rink. It’s maybe also worth noting that mi Cocina had their own music playing, so you aren’t going to be able to hear the event either. Anyways, they have the place decked out for the holidays, so it was very festive. I don’t know if this is because we were at a mall location or what, but the menu seemed limited. There weren’t as many options with this menu as there are at other Mi Cocina locations. I say that because I was looking forward to the Carne Asada dish I have been seeing pictures of on Unilocal reviews from other locations. I also looked at their menu online, and it was quite a bit more extensive. They brought us complimentary chips and salsa and we ordered some queso. The chips were very thick corn chips. They don’t serve them warm. Good though! The queso was good as well. I ordered the Fernando’s(Cuatro Sabores), which was a poblano chicken enchilada, a spinach enchilada with salsa verde, a sweet corn tamale with sunset sauce, a taco«De Brisket», and arroz y frijoles(rice and beans). The spinach enchilada was literally a generous helping of wilted spinach wrapped in a tortilla. It also had yummy green sauce on top. Much needed after thanksgiving food for two days! The chicken enchilada was very good as well, especially the sauce that was on top of it. In fact, next time, I will look for a dish with only poblano chicken enchiladas. The tamale was moist! I also appreciated that the rice and beans were reasonable portions(And not heaping). Because they were so good that if they had put more on there, I would have eaten it. I would have not needed it… But I would have eaten every bit of it. So– a little disappointed with the limited menu, but found a good plan B and all in all, we enjoyed the meal. For the record, we did manage to see Charlie and Meryl, as they did a signing in Macy’s up on the 2nd floor!

This place is fantastic. I have been there just once and this is review is based only of that 1 dinner. They serve complimentary Nachos and salsa. The nachos and salsa both were great I had«Latin Stir Fry Fajita» here with only veggies along with a Arnold Palmer. The Fajita was delicious. It was a huge portion and the attendant was very kind to box it for me along with a few fresh tortilla wraps along with it. The attendant was really very helpful. Also from the restaurant, you can see the people ice skating in the ice skating ring, which is pleasant to watch. Definitely recommend everyone to visit here.

Do you know how hard it is to find a frozen cocktail in Dallas? I came here because it was across the street from where I was staying. It was so good I came here 2 days in a row. Both times the service was beyond friendly and super fast. All the items on the menu are hand crafted and made fresh daily (never frozen) They start you off with complimentary chips and salsa. I found the salsa to be a bit too hot –but that’s the only thing I found to be less then 100%. The drink of choice for myself was«Delemma» it’s a frozen margarita made with Tequilia, Sangria, Mango & Strawberry. So good ! I had the tortilla soup one of the two days — full of chicken breast, jack cheese, tortilla chips and avacado. Omg — I don’t normally like soup — but this was the exception ! The main meal was the Quinceanera Salad(with no onions, no mango, no pineapple) And add steak. I can’t tell you how awesome and yummy this was! I loved that there was Jicama in it ! This place is great and I may even go back again before I leave town :)

If you ever get the pleasure to go here, PLEASE have a Mambo Taxi… it’s a MUST with their chips and salsa. Perfect combination! Every time I visit here, the staff is friendly, well most of the time. They always recommend dishes for those that are trying to decided between their delicious entrees. My favorites tend to be The Rico Salad, their quesadillas, chicken OR beef, their Bean soup and their Mexican Rice. I tried their Chicken Pozole for the first time today and I liked it a lot. Going for just something simple… try the Queso Blanco w/Brisket, the BEST!

One thing I always appreciate about MiCocina. No matter the location, you can be confident that you will receive polite, friendly & above average service than most restaurants. Their salsa is awesome and caso is super yummy! Mambos are most popular here but I always get the skinny margarita, straight up in a martini glass. You can’t go wrong with sourcream chicken enchiladas, brisket tacos or fajita nachos.
