Very interesting place to hangout. I had the con panna and my friends tried macchiato and chai latte. The prices are so reasonable and cheaper than Star Bucks and the quality of the drinks are also way better than what Star Bucks serves. This is the kind of place where you can go out on your first date and also just go there to do your homework.

I definitely did not feel«cool» enough when I walked into this coffee shop(I probably made my case worse after this comment). Nice space with lots of tables, large communal table, bar seating, and plenty of outlets. Dog-friendly patio area. Good coffee, Kombucha on tap, and other breakfast goodies.

good place to study, read a book or chitchat with friends. I really like the atmosphere! Parking is great if you come before dinner time. Good coffee and tea.

This place is great for coffee and a date. Less so(personally) if you’re trying to get work done, unless you can focus with all the noise. However, they do try to set it up to be work friendly. They’ve got outlets, large tables, a lot of seating, decent lighting, free wifi, etc. There’s also a nice porch outside. The coffee is pretty high quality, even though i don’t know much about it. My friend, basically a coffee connoisseur, can attest to their coffee. Parking is a little difficult, but nothing Dallas folk can’t handle. There’s some street parking and then a rugged parking lot behind the shop. You’re at better luck just going straight there. Come here if you wanna chat and drink great coffee for a bit, but you might feel guilty staying too long. People walk in and out all the time because it’s always full. (Tip: if possible, avoid sitting by the door when it’s cold out. The door doesn’t close on its own…)

This places is a must! We stopped in a Sunday night and it was actually quite packed for a coffee shop. After trusting my fellow Unilocalers, I ordered the kombucha tea on tap and my bf ordered a latte. Honestly, I didn’t like the tea, it reminded me of apple cider vinegar. The staff quickly swapped my drink for the green apple lemonade. The green apple lemonade was delicious and tart and I would recommend it to anyone that comes. While the drinks are good, the services is what makes it, lots of the new coffee shops that are popping up these days don’t have the friendliest staff, but at Mudsmith the baristas are laid back and relaxed and help give a relaxing vibe to the place.

Overall: Sterling performer that sets the pace for everyone else. The perfect blend of flavor, vibe, and value. Located in a bustling part of town, it’s the perfect place to go anytime of the day. Drinks/Food: Had an Iced Toddy which was flavorful, smooth and strong. I like how there is a selection of beers here for the evenings, when you don’t want to caffeinate. I wasn’t able to get food this time, but here’s the breakdown. Before 2PM, they have cheese melts and breakfast sandwiches. After 2PM, pastries, muffins, soup, and Kolaches(Czech pig in a blanket) Service: Shout out to my barista Chris for keeping me company and teaching me how to be a coffee Jedi. Staff in general is very helpful and knowledgeable. Seating: There is a wealth of seating options here. You have bar counter space, small tables, a large communal table, and couches. I prefer to sit at the bar counter, because you can interact with the baristas a lot, which enhances your overall experience. WiFi/Power: Average WiFi at 3.5 down and .5 up. Consider that there are a heavy amount of laptop users here, the speed actually isn’t too bad. Generous amounts of power outlets everywhere. Definitely Laptop-istan approved. Parking: Street parking is not timed. There is also a large lot in the back, which is a hidden gem. The Lower Greenville area is normally diffficult to park, so this is a huge relief. Atmosphere: An interesting combination of warm and vibrant. Set in an old bar, it has the charm of a beer pub with energizing feel of a co-working space that is caffeinated. You can be both productive and chillax all at the same time.

I try very hard to like this place — but I cannot. Mudsmith is my oh-man-I-have-to-go-here-because-my-favorite-is-packed. The lattes are weak. If you get an almond milk, any-syrup latte, you will not realize there is espresso in your drink. All I taste is almond milk and syrup. I’m not sure if they have crazy bold almond milk, put too much syrup, or weak-sauce espresso — but it’s not a happy mix. They have plenty of tables to study, but they’re not very study friendly. The music is so loud that you can’t really focus — so you can’t actually read or do anything of value. This means Mudsmith caters to those people that bring their MacBooks to coffee shops to play on Facebook and look busy. Sometimes they turn down the music. I’m not sure what kind of prayer you have to chant to make that happen but when it’s low, it’s not too bad of a study place. One of my biggest pet peeves is a smelly bathroom. Their bathroom is JUSTSHY of the homeless person smell. It’s not full-on piss but it’s not clean. I don’t even want froo froo candles. I just want to smell nothing when I pee. It makes me think of a gas station bathroom. I am always afraid of clogging their bathrooms because I put layers and layers of toilet paper before I do anything. There is a giant table on one side with a whole strip of outlets for everyone to share. If you sit there, you will be greeted with fruit flies. I think they clean the place with a dirty mop, because that’s what I keep smelling around different pockets of the area. So yeah, enjoy.

I have never been to any of the cafes near downtown Dallas. My expectation wasn’t too high but this trendy café is so worth the visit! It’s very spacious and most people come here to study or work. Our drinks were okay but I was impressed with the bear foam art on my friends hazelnut latte. It’s super adorable and you can even make special requests on what image you want on your coffee. I ordered Countessa which was a shot of espresso with foam and honey. I was expecting a cup a coffee not a shot of espresso so that was a bummer. We sat at the coffee bar and its a perfect spot to watch them making coffees. The tables were all taken so come early to get a table if you’re planning on coming here to do work.

This place is a great place to come hang out and chat with friends and their drinks are pretty good too. I’m not a big fan of dead heads propped on the walls while I’m talking about the latest things happening in my life but they also have a great patio… Sans heads :-) The employees seem to be pretty cool people. There are a plethora of wonderful haircuts and beards that frequent here, and it’s in a great area too.

Ah Mudsmith, you’re one of few places on lower Greenville I frequent enough to know what teas y’all have on hand at any given time. Cute, quaint, and definitely has that lower Greenville vibe to it. There’s plenty of seating and outlets for those of you who want to study, work or dick around. Despite the plethora of seating, this place fills up pretty fast even on week nights. They have beer on tap but not a large variety to select from. You’re probably better off hopping across the street to Truck Yard if you feel inclined to get your alcohol on. I have yet to try out any of the food goodies they have here but that’s a bit difficult to indulge in when lower Greenville has a myriad of food places to choose from. This is one the better cafes to kick back and relax in. You really can’t go wrong.

Wow! What have I been missing? Mudsmith is a great coffee shop tucked along Greenville Ave nearby neighborhood favorites like Steel City Pops, HG Supply, & Company Café. Their breakfast sandwiches are delicious & their coffee is simple & yummy. I got a dirty chai tea latte & the spice was just right! There are tons of work space no matter if it’s for one or six & they even have a few comfy couches sprinkled through the space. A great neighborhood find & a new brunch fave!

Mudsmith is everything I look for in a coffee shop and I frequently make a stop here whenever I’m in the DFW area. +Wide selection of breakfast items. Our highlights were the $ 5 sammies(huge pieces of bacon, juicy eggs, toasted on croissant) and the fresh-out-the-oven blueberry muffins(giant!) +Coffee game on point +Great kombucha drink on tap for people like my husband who don’t drink coffee +Baristas are never stuck up… double the points for this +Breezy and relaxing front patio(dog-friendly!) Located on a pretty cute and lively street in the lower Greenville area, Mudsmith is my favorite last stop before I head south back home to Austin.

Love this place! Great location, pet friendly patio seating, great vibe, food and drinks. The menu includes yummy comfort foods like goat and Havarty grilled cheese, or goat cheese and jalapeño poppers. It has healthier options if it’s not your chest day. In which case, I’d return when it is. Also a big fan of the different Kombucha flavors on tap mixed with champagne. I like to think of it as the healthier day drinking option. The homemade cold brew coffee drinks mixed with flavors like rose syrup are also incredible. There is also a Trader Joes across the street if you need to do some grocery shopping after. Win-Wn. If you are in the area, definitely worth checking out.

I’m normally never in this area during breakfast time, but wanted to take advantage since the opportunity presented itself. I’m a faithful coffee drinker and can appreciate local coffee shops that have good coffee beans to offer. My fiancé and I stopped in for what was supposed to be two lattes, but ended up turning into a lot more this past Saturday. I ordered a nonfat latte with one pump of sugar free vanilla syrup. We weren’t planning on eating, but couldn’t pass up the deliciously sounding breakfast sandwich. We decided to order The Original breaks and sandwich to share to go along with our drinks. It took about 10 minutes for our drinks to come out, which I didn’t mind since I was checking the place out. The only complaint is that my drink was so sweet. I guess they added more syrup than one shot like I asked, but I’m sure it was just a mistake. Or maybe I’m excusing the sweet drink since everything else was so satisfying here. There’s a lot of seating, whether you want to sit outside on the patio, inside at a table, at the coffee bar, or even in the far back where there’s cool looking lawyer office type chairs. I’m talking about those old school leather cushioned chairs that can easily put you in a deep comfort zone. I saw stairs, but I’m not sure if there was upstairs seating. The atmosphere is rustic and hip. I saw a lot of people studying and working, but it seems to also be a cool place to come and meet others for drinks and snacks. Finally, the super hot breakfast sandwich came out with a fried egg, bacon, and cheese all nestled into a croissant. The sandwich was amazing. I can’t wait to come back for another one, only this time, I won’t be sharing. The service is spot on. We saw a worker bringing out the most wonderful smelling muffins ever, so we asked what flavors he had just out of curiosity and he offered to give us half of the carrot muffin. In shock, we devoured the fresh out of the oven muffin that was not only moist, but packed with flavor. It was so worth every bite. As we were leaving, the guy introduced himself as Ryan and welcomed us back to visit again. There’s nothing better than being surrounded by all around good customer service. The experience at Mudsmith was great. I’m definitely a fan!

For such a short distance, approximately 1.5mi, you can find everything you’re looking for here in the Lower Greenville area. The area is packed with restaurants, bars, shops. I might consider moving here and burn a good hole in my pocket. YODO(you only die once!) right? Why not! I prefer to come here whenever I’m bored and have nothing else better to do. Get myself a hot cup of coffee(even tho I dislike any hot drinks, but I’m a sucker for coffee/milk art), sit outside on their patio, and do my people watching. It could get crazy and interesting in the evening. The street starts getting more and more crowded as the sun sets. The perfect spot to satisfy your eyes and your imagination. I’m still talking about people watching of course. It’s much easier to find parking here than in downtown. They might run out of parking spot in the back and require you to pay, but don’t pay, go another block and park at Walmart(at your own risk, don’t blame me if your car get towed). I’ve been lucky so far and still haven’t had my car towed there *knock on wood*. They have something for everyone, from coffee to juices, to snacks and desserts. I have only tried their lattes and the green apple lemonade. If you’re not a coffee drinker, definitely give some of their juices a try. I was surprised at how refreshing and not overly sweet their apple lemonade was. And they are all freshly juiced when you order them too. That’s a huge plus! Also, your fur baby can come and hang out on the patio as well!

By far my favorite coffee shop in Dallas and it isn’t even close. Coffee: amazing roasts with a variety of selection to please any coffee lover. Beer: they keep a nice selection of great local drafts, nice combo with the fact that it’s happy hour everyday after 9pm here. So I often use it to grab a beer with friends on their patio and people watch. Vibe: come here anytime and you’ll always get a crowd of people hustling & bustling, to the point that you get motivated by what’s going on around you. Other pros: late night shop; they close at 11, very few Dallas shops close that late. Music selection is outstanding Every so often they have«drank & draw» Events, basically an open house to creatives to come in enjoy a coffee/brew and collaborate.

I really, really like this place. From the moment I pulled open the massive door to enter the dark, chilly bar, I was immediately enchanted. It’s an interesting combination of coffee shop and pub. There’s a whole bunch of tables in the front, one small couch, and an actual bar running along the counter. In the back there are more tables and a few more comfy chairs and couches. On the walls are many, many different kinds of dead animals – stags, moose, bobcats. This would usually creep me out, but here it really works. It perpetuates this hunting lodge aesthetic that they have going on. Based on reviews I’d read here, I ordered an Iced Toddy(their version of cold brew) with almond milk and took it to a seat along the bar. It was spectacular. Served in an icy mason jar, it was completely delicious. Blew me away. After I finished it, I was super wired from the caffeine and still considered ordering another one. I didn’t, because the first one cost me $ 4.87 and that seemed like the most I should spend on coffee in one day, but seriously, I was tempted. Most people there on a Friday afternoon were working on their laptops. There aren’t many comfy chairs or couches, so I don’t recommend it as a place to curl up cozily and read. But it’s a great place to have some really great coffee and chat with friends.

LOVED this quaint coffee shop! It was like I stepped into another world! Thank you guys for offering a variety of milk options! Coconut milk is my preference, so thank you! The KC latte is AMAZiNG!!! And I tried the Contessa, so good. Such awesome, pure, genuine coffee.
