Only if there is a zero star option. My family are 4 in all. We walked in and they already warned«this is bbq only», which is fine. We sat down, and asked if they have soups, right away the lady responded” like i said there is only bbq here”. Then we see«soup section», and asked«is this soup?», and she said«well yah! But we dont have all of them.» At that point, we feel weird, but it’s ok. Then we started ordering, we wanted 2 order of pork butt and 1 pork belly and planned to order some pork skewers and soup. Then she said since we have 4 ppl, we have to order more food in order to be qualified to eat. So since when ppl start telling us what to eat and how much to eat now? We walked out. I have been here before, it wasn’t this bad. It was good to start with. But i guess i wont be coming back.

I like this place. The food is tasty and it’s good to go with friends so you can share a lot of food, especially since they have a lot of side dishes. I love the pork belly and spare ribs cooking on the grill. A little hard to find and it doesn’t look like much, but I look forward to going again soon for the food.

BOTTOMLINE: Hands down FAVORITE Korean restaurant in Dallas! This place is so good, I came out of my Unilocaling hiatus just to share this little treasure with all of you! FULLREVIEW: Hey Y’ALL, I just moved to Texas from California – the land of plentiful Korean food – and am so happy to have found my go-to Kbbq restaurant here. which is why I’m appalled that Oh Gam Ja doesn’t have 5 stars! Yes, it is a bit pricey, but for a very good reason. #1. The food is LEGIT. Now you might say, «Anna L, why should I trust you? You’re just a little dog that likes to eat dirty socks.» However, I assure you that OGJ receives the OFFICIAL Korean stamp of approval. They even have hard-to-find items such as intestine(dae chang). Don’t worry, they also have your standard picks like galbi! #2. Side dish(banchan) GALORE! I’ve never been to a restaurant that gives so many different side dishes. The owner’s wife makes everything herself and it’s all soooooo good. The dishes are constantly changing and the last time I went, they even had raw crab(ge jang)! om nom nom :9 #3. AMAZING service. The owner and his wife are so welcoming, I always feel like I’m having a home cooked meal. They even said hi when I bumped into them near Hmart! #4. Quality AND Quantity. I completely agree with a previous reviewer – while the prices might be a bit higher than some of the other places on Royal lane, you get a lot in return. I highly doubt you’ll leave OGJ feeling unsatisfied. The only downside I can think of is the location. It is kind of random and the speed bumps in the parking lot drive me crazy.

The servers here are pretty respectful. The owner who helps out gives the worst treatment any customer would get. This place used to be BYOB until what he «says» two years back. I wasn’t aware of that and brought a box of Franzia(wine) for my dad and I. I used to bring packs of beer all the time when they did have BYOB. The waitress seated us and definitely had seen the box of wine I had in my hand. She didn’t say anything so we had no clue about the policy change. We brought our glasses with us and poured each other the wine. We ordered our food and waited when the owner came to our table and told us we weren’t supposed to bring alcohol in an awfully rude matter. We explained to him APOLOGIZING that the last time we came here they had BYOB for a pretty long time so we didn’t expect that. He gave us the most nastiest expression as if we brought it in knowingly. We didn’t want argue for long so we just agreed on never bringing it again and saying it was our fault this happened. We put away the box of wine and put it on the floor. When he came back with our food he told us to put away the glasses filled with wine. What made us angry was not ANYTHING about the alcohol policy but the way he talked to us. We told him we wanted to just drink it since it was already poured in(you cant put it back inside the franzia box). Then he started to get really tempered and yelled at us that it was ridiculous how we didn’t ask the servers if it was allowed. I didn’t want my dad to get his temper up either so I repeatedly apologized to him but he repeated the same blame over and over again as if we were crimimals. My dad told him that the servers should’ve told us beforehand and it didn’t seem like he wanted to hear anything from us. My dad told him that it would be better off if we had left. It wasn’t a surprise when he agreed and told us he didn’t care one bit. We have NEVER in our life experienced that kind of customer service in a restaurant especially from the owner. I know many Korean places may have poor customer service but this place went overboard(I am Korean myself). The waitresses are fine but the owner really needs to stay in kitchen or elsewhere. The food menu also changed. Everything is overpriced. You can get Korean BBQ from better places near that area for better quality, price, and most importantly CUSTOMERSERVICE.

Change of managers recently. Everything tastes different and more expensive. Still tastes alright, but not as nearly as it use to be. Even side dishes changed and don’t taste the same.

This is the first time I have ever written a Unilocal review. I’m not Korean, but I enjoy Korean food and work right by the K-Town area. I believe I have managed to locate and try every single Korean restaurant in the area. This is a hole in the wall kind of place, but let me tell you this is by far the best Korean restaurant I have been to and today I had one of the best meals of my life. Check this place out and I promise you will not regret it.

It was 10:30 pm and not many Korean places open so late. Found this place on Unilocal, only four reviews that were over a year old, in a very remote and dark area. The inside is very small, and it has these strange tin roofing-like material, 80’s BBQ grills on table. Kind of a whole in the wall place, but very clean. Nice servers.

This place is a hidden gem. Located in a dark alley off Harry Hines, OhGamJa is one of the best Korean restaurants in D/FW. When you walk in, the inside is pretty plain looking, but it gives off a very homey vibe. The employees are extremely nice and they’ll quickly seat you in a private little booth. The prices here may seem expensive, but you really get a lot for your money. For around $ 30 bucks, you get a generous portion of quality meat, rice, banchan, miso soup, egg soup and a bottle of soju(which can be replaced for soft drinks or more meat). Great service and great food make this one of the most enjoyable dining experiences in D/FW. Once you find it, you’ll definitely be back. Note-It might be useful to bring a Korean friend if you’re not too knowledgeable about Korean food. The language barrier can be tough for some! Luckily for me, they think I speak Korean so it works out pretty well ahahaha.

A great Korean restaurant &BBQ around the Harry Hines that opens until midnight. Don’t get discouraged by the slum-looking area. Oh, and you won’t be able to really see the restaurant signage by the big road(harry hines). You’ll have to enter the complex and start looking. We found it pretty fast though. Just make sure you’re in the right complex :) They have pretty standard selection of banchan. Kimchi was fresh. We didn’t order their BBQ, so can’t testify to that one. We had their LA Galbi which was yummy. Also had Dolsot Bibimbap, which I LOVE, esp the fact that they cook my egg instead of leaving it raw/sunny-side up(i know some people might prefer it raw though). Our friend also got the Gamja Tang(pork bone and potato soup) which was good and spicy, but a little bit bone-y. Their pricing is just like average Korean restaurant place. Dinner menus are about $ 9 and above. Lunch menus are $ 7 and above. BBQ is of course more expensive… about $ 13 and above if i’m not mistaken. Great service too… our waitress was really sweet!

It’s a really good home restaurant. The service is nice too. My boyfriend and I came here for dinner. We had the 1st one in the special menu, which includes the pork belly, beef brisket and beef intestine, soju(can be replaced by any kind of drink), and 2 ot bowls of soup aside(soybean paste soup, and egg soup). The portion is just enough for 2 ppl to feel good, not really stuffed. Btw, the deal is 35 $, which is great.(cheaper than in Omi). I will come back for more korean BBQ.

It’s a nice Korean BBQ place. Cheaper than many of the other places and the meat is pretty good quality. They just got AC installed a couple weeks ago, which is quite helpful since it’s otherwise crazy hot in the Summer. They provide a good number of side dishes and even though the combination specials on the menu specify certain things, you can substitute different meats and even replace the soju with a request for additional meat, which can be a really good deal. The staff is really attentive and quick to respond to any request. They do also have a full menu, so there is a good variety of dishes if you’re not wanting the BBQ(or if you want some in addition to the BBQ).
