UPDATE: After my previous review, which is below, the staff at Plucker’s have gone above and beyond to ensure my previous experience will never occur again. The manage on site John came to the table and asked if there was anything at all that I needed. He order a 10 piece and fries for me which was great! It didn’t stop there. Sam, the GM, gave me a personal call in regards to my experience and my Unilocal review and rectified the situation. It’s great to see that he took a few minutes out of his I’m sure busy schedule to address any of my concerns. It’s great to know that customer service still exists! Thanks! __________________________________________________________ Been coming to this Plucker’s for a little over a year now. I’ve always enjoyed their food, customer service and their atmosphere. Well… Today was a little different. I got my usual the Dirty Patty Melt. On top of waiting longer than usual for the food to come out, when it did, my fries were cold and my patty melt was missing the grilled onions. I politely told the waiter and he told me that he would get it situated. 10 mins later another burger appeared and it was soooo greasy. I will say my fries were hot but my burger was greasy. So greasy I couldn’t even eat it. It looked as if they took my original burger I sent back, put more butter on the bread and retoasted it. And boy was it toasted. I told the waiter and he said a manager would be over. 15 mins later here comes Olivia. Not the least bit personable. Abrupt and a tad rude. All she asked me was what do I want instead, I told her nothing, she picked up my plate and said she would take it off my ticket. I guess I was looking for her to ask me what was wrong with the patty melt or something… You know regular customer service stuff. Let’s just say I’m not impressed and I don’t plan on coming back. Really sucks when a good thing goes bad.

Didn’t have the sauce I wanted. Wings we’re cooked a little too long. Fried Mac n cheese was great.

Probably one of the worst experiences ever. I’m currently sitting in my booth, as it is my first time here and I’m not impressed at all. The cheese fries were fine, but they came out before our drinks. I had asked three times for a frozen margarita, then was given a margarita on the rocks, I told the waitress I had asked for a frozen and she said well you’ll like it on rocks, it’s better. I know what types of margaritas I like, so I said no thank you I would like a frozen one. The«frozen» margarita came back and I immediately gave it back. It was frothy on top then the rest was all liquid, not frozen. I was then told that that wasn’t even the one on special. Which was never stated on the menu. We asked for a side of ranch about 25 minutes ago and I’ve been sitting here with an empty water for the past 15 minutes. I haven’t seen our waitress in over 30 minutes. Finally the waitress came and asked my friend if he wanted the drink he ordered. He said no. He had ordered it over 45 minutes ago… Our waitress was Christy. Never have her! Very dissatisfied. The food was marginal. But the service was very disappointing. Plus the manager never even came to apologize. Never coming here again.

We tried it again! I was contacted by an owner and general manager. Both apologized for the previous experience which shows how much they care. I was sent a gift card and I gave my word i would use it at the same location… and it was perfect! The place was jam packed, loud, the pluckers trivia game was going on. The wings were great, and so was Gabriel! I’m not sure how long he’ll be there since his shirt was embroidered«trainer» but I will definitely ask about him next time I go. …also the food was great lol

Man do I love me some WINGS! This place is so much fun! They have different games that you can play while you eat. I order the gold rush flavor, can’t ever go wrong! The price is reasonable, as well as the quality of the wings. I wish they would open one up in Tulsa, OK!

Quick look rating: 4⁄5 Food & Quality, 4⁄5 Service, 4⁄5 Experience I love this little place! I would have to really like some one to bring them here! This is a place that is just pure fun with nothing to hide! *To note: They have a board that marks the top folks that can eat their«hot» wings and I mean HOT! Years ago I brought a high school buddy of mine to try this place out and we had a blast! It was mid afternoon, the place was slow and there was some hot wing challenges going on! One table that we had noticed, one young kid,(freshman ~ college) went to the restroom during this event and came back crying. He had been eating these hot wings and touched his man part when going to the bathroom. I’m sorry to report that we could not stop laughing, poor guy! To note: I have had my picture up on that board three times at the same time! I love spicy! But, damn, it’s hotter than hell! Just be warned! This is a fun place to take friends! With out waiting, you can always grab some seats up at the bar!

I have been to Pluckers many times in Austin and every experience there was just phenomenal. From Wingo Bingo to Trivia Tuesday to all you can eat boneless wings on Thursday, there is something special going on every single night at Pluckers! This was my first time at Pluckers here in Dallas, and it was just as great as in Austin! You can get regular wings, boneless wings, or burgers and every thing tastes amazing. There are many different flavors you can choose that are both wet and dry runs, ranging from sweet to very spicy! In fact, if you eat 25 of their Fire in the Hole wings, you get your picture on the wall! They are also known for their fried pickles and fried mac n cheese! I got the Hallelujah and Baker’s Gold flavors for the boneless wings and they were as amazing as always: slightly spicy but not too much. If you get the monster boneless basket, you get 6 massive wings and fries. You probably won’t even be able to finish it and will have to take the rest home; I always have to. They also have this drink called the Psychedelic Frog that is made of 5 liquors and 5 mixers and is a neon green color! Super delicious! Try it! Their staff is also so amazing! There was a mix up with my mother’s order and the manager came over, replaced it and didn’t charge us for the first plate! Truly awesome people and so fun to be around! If it wasn’t unhealthy to eat wings every day, I definitely would and would always go to Pluckers!

Went here for lunch and the meal was just okay. Dunno why they keep on saying that they have good service because when I was here, it was so ovbious that they are not doing their job well. The good thing is that they have a private lot for parking. Good for us people that has cars. And I cant seem to favor their beer. I just cant say that it was good.

When I think of kicking back and relaxing to catch a game, Pluckers is a place to check out. I recently have been to Pluckers a few times after its renovation. I am very happy that they did renovate the restaurant. Now it has doubled in space and seats. It was quite small for how popular Pluckers is. The fact of its expansion it is now do-able to go without an actual wait for a table. Now if you go during a game time, your definitely going to have at least a 30 minute wait for a table unless you would like to sit on the patio or bar. The food is pretty good! I wouldn’t say it is the best wings ever but it is still pretty good! I am a sucker for the lemon pepper wings dry and spicy. I also love the queso and fried pickles. If your looking for a laid back place to chill and eat and possibly catch some sport actions, Pluckers is definitely a great choice!

I would give Pluckers 3.5 stars if I could. And I am sure that it is because my friend raved and raved about the chicken for the whole 5 days I was in Dallas. I expected it to be more buffalo wingy and less chicken tendery if that makes sense. I got the buffalo chicken hot chicken basket with waffle fries. The fries are awesome but did need some salt. They reminded me of Chick fil a fries! And you can get anything on them(bacon sour cream hot sauce) which I thought was cool and delicious. But the chicken. It wasn’t as crispy as I would have wanted, too large and so trying to eat it made me look like someone way to prim and proper to also be eating fried mac and cheese. A fork and knife just kill my vibe but necessary. Also the sauce was less flavorful then I wanted. We also got a bunch of apps. Fried mac and cheese, fried mozzarella, and fried jalapeños. All were super tasty but the Mac and cheese was my favorite. I thought the strawberry dip with it was too sweet but it was great without. And my twisted tea tasty adult beverage was excellent! Service was good and quick.

As a Texas alum, this is one of my Austin favorites to bring me back to the glory days! Definitely love the fried pickles, holy Mac and many of their sauces. The boneless tenders are all white meat and very good. Staff is nice, sometimes not the quickest. Additionally, hate that they stopped delivering!

I really like this location. They have a nice wrap around patio and the area is laid out nicely. The staff is friendly and the food is good. I think they have a good beer selection, especially considering they are a chain restaurant. My favorite is the Mangonero. not to spicy and not to sweet. I have been to this location three times already and just got the Pluckers card, which I wish I would have gotten it the first time. It is totally worth it!

2.5 stars(Sub-par food :() It’s a wing bar, so I really wasn’t expecting much going in(nothing extra-ordinarily fancy), but I wanted to at least enjoy my meal(so promise not biased). Honestly, the service here was fine, our server was really nice and she took our orders pretty quickly. We came on a friday night, and probably because of our larger party size(9 people), we ended up waiting 45 min outside. The wait time will likely be much shorter if you are just here with a couple buddies. The reason I unfortunately must give this Pluckers a lower rating was because the food was just not that great. The wings were over-salted/sauced, especially the dry rubs. We got a plethora of wings(both dry rub and sauced), and I pretty much couldn’t eat more than one dry rub because it was so salty and wayyyyy overly flavored(mostly just too salty and left a terrible feeling in my mouth, had to chug mah water down). It didn’t taste good at all. The sauced wings were better, not great, but at least I felt like I could eat multiple… so sad T_T sigh. I don’t recall wings I had at the other pluckers/wing bars were this bad. Maybe it was just a bad day for them… !

The fiancé and I have been anxiously awaiting the reopening of Pluckers. This is the second time we have been disappointed. We live across the street and stopped in for a to-go order. It wasn’t until AFTER we returned home that we realized there was no ranch(that we were charged for) and no dressing for the side salad that was ordered. I used to love this place so much but we left tonight wondering how 12 oz of chicken(4 tenders) w/mac & cheese side, side salad, and 4 stuffed jalapeños came out to $ 30. I honestly feel like they have dropped the ball since the remodel. Pluckers may have to be just a dine in spot for us from now on

Just wanted a snack to go. Service to get this done was good. But, the food… Their menu says the waffle fries are something like the best anywhere. Well, maybe if they actually cook them. Mine were white and soggy, not brown, not crispy. The wings had good flavor but they came out COLD. The only thing I can say was as expected were the house chips even if a tad over seasoned. I was warned that this was not a very good wing place so, warning confirmed.

I’ve never been here. I know, blaspheme right? I’m just not a giant wing person. Never have been; really gotta be in the mood. I knew this place was recently remodeled, and had been meaning to try Pluckers for awhile, so I gave it a shot. I’ve heard stories about how they’ve gone downhill or sold out and they’re not as good as they use to be. I’ve got no frame of reference for that, so it was easy to judge it for what it was. I got there at peak time on a Tuesday night and they were on a wait; pretty good sign right? Probably so. I sat at the bar, because it wasn’t worth a wait for lil olé me. the bartender was friendly; not real great, but he wasn’t an ass. I don’t expect much on a busy nite. I had the Dry Rub Garlic Parmesan Wings, and wow were they f*%king YUMMMY!!! The fries were meh, but they’re fries. no biggie. I really liked the wings though… I need to go back and try more, because my taste buds were fired up!!!

I did not know Dr. Pepper sauce was a thing. Apparently it is. It’s tasty, and cloyingly sweet. The«adult chicken nuggets» err… boneless wings… were very tender and juicy. Surprisingly so, for fried chicken. Choose your time of eating carefully, as if you come too late into the evening, you may have some waiting to do. But the chicken is worth the wait.

This is a total wing hot spot! Since I’m trying to eat healthier, I ordered the naked tenders with a side salad. Let me tell you, while I was pretty unhappy about not getting wings, their naked tenders were cooked perfectly and were very juicy! The salad was a good mix of different lettuces and lots of carrots and purple cabbage on top. Both were very tasty! Get here early! The crowd and wait time starts to fill up in the late evening!

One major plus is that there’s a restaurant side and a bar side. I no longer have to get drunk with your kiddos! I’m so happy for that wall. Pluckers is a BAR – says so in the name and décor. It is unequivocally a sports bar. And there’s nothing I hate more than people who put genuine effort into taking their children to the bar with them. Well now I do not freaking care because I can sit at the bar and your free-roaming children will not bump into me disturbing my beer. So yea for that, but boo on the food quality. I loved Sean’s BLT. No one made a BLT like Pluckers. Big slabs of meaty bacon cooked to perfection on the grill and piled high on buttered toast. Well, that was the old Pluckers. Now it’s crappy little crumbly pieces of non-tasting bacon-like strips that taste like they were over-cooked in the deep fryer. The queso and chips are still good and the salads are great. The dressing is super thin now. Did Pluckers change food vendors and drop the quality? Who knows, but I do know I will be there less often because I can get a better sandwich at Sonic now – which is sad.

I love pluckers, I really do. Hot wings are part of the food pyramid in my opinion. This location recently reopened & we decided to check it out for trivia night(wednesdays). Beware that this is probably the busiest night. We arrived at 6 pm, trivia starts at 7:30 and barely got a table at 7:25. So if you want to go to trivia, go early(like 5 – 5:30 early). My main gripe is that they had 4 tables opened and cleaned for 30+ plus min while we waited for our name to be called. They had countless tables outside, but they were not utilizing those either. I don’t know if it was short staffed or an off night, but it was very strange. We asked about the open tables and the gal at the front desk was incredibly rude saying that they needed to be cleaned — but they had already been cleaned almost 15 min ago! It took them SO long to seat people in the open tables, which was super frustrating. Finally, they sat more people outside on the patio(where there were open tables galore). This is where we ended up, sigh. But for trivia and hot wings it was worth it. Our server was meh, not particularly friendly or attentive but she did the bare minimum to get the job done and that’s fine for me. Overall, solid hot wings(slightly overpriced), fun atmosphere and a great location. Of course i’ll return & you should check it out if you’re craving wings :) Ps: fried dill pickles. enough said. try them.
