This place has just gotten worse! They no longer give birthday bowls for the rewards club they give you a shady dessert. They took away their cheese and other toppings also. Just taken over by a horrible company that no longer cares for customers.

Come in, pay $ 13, leave hungry. This will be my last visit. Would be fun if the lighting was decent and the price was around half-2/3 what it is now. You can feel the death throes in here. It’s depressing. Maybe they’ll do 10 covers total tonight. Should have gone to Royal Thai.

Poor service, Slow response and not a very clean restaurant. To top it off I gave a low tip and I just found out my server adjusted my tip(added $ 10) after I left. I recommend that you pass this place up. Boo Genghis! Huge thumbs down.

Let’s run a promotional and email all our customers to come in and try our new bowl. However, when they show up, let’s be OUT of all the ingredients to make it! How do you run out of sauces and items? This location has gone so down hill. Used to be great.

Worst service ever! I went here with my friends and one of them chose a Large Bowl size, when they cooked, they gave him the wrong size and they changed it. It’s ok to have a mistake but the amount of his noodle was still the same, they just changed the bowl. Really?!? When we complaint to the old Chinese lady, I think she’s the boss, she said that was my friend’s false. Really!!! You said that to your customer? Her face expressed the anger and said«ok, I’ll bring more noodle for you, just this time»… Yep, I can tell, it took like forever just for the noodle, when he was almost done, she gave him noodle. However, it’s tasty!

Was promptly greeted at the door and my server came along quickly, even during the lunch rush. He was very polite and eager to help. The attendant behind the food was sweet and there was plenty of everything I needed and more. At the end of the line, my server was waiting for me and offered me an antibacterial towel to clean my hands after having used tongs and spoons to select my meal. Definitely not something I see at every genghis. Over all my experience was great, and I’d definitely return.

I tried this new place on a vacation here. It has a place where you can walk up and customize your dish. Plenty of meats to choose from, and all other ingredients to go with it. It is a place where you order your drink with the waiter then go up and make your dish at the counter. It’s a subway feel, but you make it yourself. I really think the chicken and scallops(that’s what I had) were really delicious. Plus the extra spices I had, like the Cajun spice, added a nice kick to it. There are obviously many other meats and toppings to choose from, but I stuck to that particular dish because I love Cajun style meals. Also the seating is pretty good; plenty of space for a come in and dine place. The staff and hospitality was exceptional, and I really enjoyed how they have this restaurant set up. It may be in the busy area of Dallas, but it’s a nice place to stop in and have lunch or dinner if you want. Plus it’s good for the family, so come and try this place.

Worst restaurant experience ever! Hostess did not want to show my first time visitors how to order, she insisted because I was not a first time guest I could do it better. Then tried to seat my party of 6 at a 4 top table. When I asked the server for the most popular alcoholic drink her answer was«I didn’t know…» Then I asked if they had any frozen drinks so she stopped and brought the bartender over, the bartender’s response«we can make a frozen drink but they aren’t any good. They get watery and it’s just not good». So time to order our bowls, server passes out cards and hands me one pen. FIRSTTIMEGUESTSHERE and you rely on me to hand write my parties’ order?! Then our drinks come, we have children(a 2 year old) and he gets a regular cup just like Dad without a lid because«sorry we’re out of kids cups» my response«any to go cups?» «No». Then after our bowls are cooked they get mixed up and they just lay them out on the table… and we have to pick through the food.

Our server was friendly and attentive throughout our dining experience. A lot has changed since the last time I’ve visited, in terms of the menu, but I think having different sized bowls was a great improvement. The food was great, but I do wonder if some of the options have changed or if they were just out of certain things. I do recall them having shrimp, potatoes, etc, but they weren’t present on the line when I went. Still awesome food though! Sign up for the email list to get a free birthday bowl!

Food is small in serving. I also got horribly sick at this location! wouldn’t return again unless I needed my bowels emptied immediately again.

Not my favorite location. I don’t like the set up line & the service was slow. They didn’t seem to have all of the same options as other locations. Also my adult beverages tasted more like kiddie drinks.

In this restaurant the waiter make fun of the customers at the entrance. After this everything els is irrelevant. You are in the wrong businesses.

Oh man, Genghis Grill always takes me back to those high school days where you’d always try to see how high you could stack your bowl. These days, Genghis Grill has gotten a bit more complicated. Instead of a single size, they’ve split it into 3(adding in a smaller and large bowl). This particular location also featured little table tablets that you could use to further browse the menu and order additional items without having to wave down your waiter. It’s a simple concept, really. They do all the prep work and cook work and all you have to do is choose what you want. They have a decent selection of meats and veggies to stir fry and many different spices and sauces to give it flavor. Toss in good(and convenient) service and it’s an easy excuse to get out of the kitchen. While it’s not on my visit often list, it’s sometimes fun to relive those high school glory days. My only wish is that maybe they had a happy hour special to try out their Khan cocktails(or maybe they do and I didn’t see any mention of it).

Meh. No matter what you put in your bowl and no matter what your friends put in their bowl, everything comes out looking the same after it’s cooked. Can’t deny it tastes good, but something’s up. You can’t cook that many dishes that close together without all the sauces and stuff mingling together. I suspect maybe it’s better to go when it’s not so busy. Note to staff: Are you people on commission? Is that why you’re so incessant about the up-selling? Stop it.

I liked there range of meat and sauces. its nice, tasty and reasonable Mongolian/Chinese place. If you are not in the mood of some exotic food or fine dining, and love Chinese, you may wanna come to this place and have you noodles or rice made to order.

We were trying to find somewhere to watch the World Cup and wanted to head to pluckers. They were too full so we decided to head over here. They had several TV, a mini bar, and the World Cup was on. overall, the experience was pretty good. Service was nice and prompt and the healthy choices were awesome. They do claim however that they cater to every diet need. They do have a very nice selection of meats, vegetables, and seasonings. However, if you are looking for a ‘clean’ sauce or oil option, they’re lacking. I wish they had an olive oil option and a sauce without sugars/fillers… Even for an upgraded price.

I have been going to Genghis Grill around the metroplex for years and typically we have enjoyed each visit UNTIL our last visit to this location. The layout is fine but the building needed attention. The temperature in the building was ridiculously warm and the bathrooms were absolutely disgusting. If we were not so hungry we would have just left but decided to stay. The waiters were friendly but the workers behind the food station were extremely rude. It was like we were putting them out asking questions about available choices. No smiles, no communication, no energy! The food was adequate — nothing special. We will not return because of Service and Standards.

I love Genghis Grill in general. However this location leave something to be desired. We were sat directly underneath their air conditioner. This was not a light breeze, our napkins and straw wrappers where blowing through the restaurant like tumble weeds! When we asked to move, they moved us, under much protest, to the table 3 feet to the right. Once the manager left, we moved to the other side of the restaurant. Our food was cooked as requested and the meet quality was just ok, slight freezer flavoring. Upon multiple requests for an Iced Tea, I only received water. Upon receiving our bills, i was pleased that I was not charged for the tea, so I didn’t need to involve management. The disappointing end to the lunch was that they informed us they would only be accepting cash or else we would have to leave our credit card numbers with them on a napkin for them to enter later when their system came back online.

I’ve been to Mongolian type grills in the past this is the first I’ve encountered here in Dallas. It’s close to home and cheap and easy… what’s to dislike about that? Wait staff was friendly and informative and helped me through my first time experience. You grab your bowl and shove everything you want into it… from your own concoction or recipe cards they have prepared for suggestions. I started with the sweet and sour pork recipe but changed up the vegetables and made it spicy. Take it down the line and pick your starch and they cook it up and bring it out to you. The pork came out so good! Only thing I needed was sriracha sauce to make it spicier. They also have alcohol, appeared to be a full bar.
