Rio Room

Went to Rio Room 3 weeks after it opened up. With a group of 12 friends (all in mid 20’s, good-​looking and mostly girls). We stood in line for 1 hour and 15 minutes. The only people who were getting in either (1) had a bottle service and (2) knew the bouncers. Even those who had table service had to wait 10 – 20 minutes for their reservation name to be called up, only then they were allowed to enter.
We tried to ask the bouncers how much linger we’d have to wait since we were standing in high heels for over an hour and all they said was «we are not letting general public yet». Why? When doors opened up while some «special» guests went in, the place did not look crowded at all and the music sounded like Katy Perry and Pink.
In addition, the valet is non-​refundable, which they will announce when you pull up. Never heard that before but now it explains why.
Needless to say, we decided not to stand in line any longer and went to Teddy’s Room instead, too bad we only had about an hour or so left before everything was closing at 2am. None of us would recommend this place.
