I’ve been to many many events at the Anatole. Usually for large plated events the food is reasonable. The food tonight at SER was ok. Nothing stood out. Dessert was sub par. Valet had one person for a very large party. Really need to work on the flavor of the food and coordinating food delivery.

WOW! Amazing anniversary dinner. We had the big rib and bone in filet and both were delicious! Every bite was savored and followed by an omg this is so good. We didn’t want it to end. The rib was so tender and had an awesome charred crust with a hint of sweetness. The bone in filet was also as tender and had a delicious maple, mesquite after taste that you don’t find with filets. The customer service from everyone there was above and beyond, the best we ever had and they truly made us feel like VIP. Can’t wait to go back!

The best view of downtown Dallas and the Margaret Hunt Hillbridge in Dallas bar none stunning stunning stunning view! That being said, this is also one of the most expensive steak houses in Dallas if not the most expensive. The food is OK that’s why the three-star rating very disappointing if it had great food with this view it would be a five star. We had the board as an appetizer and it was very good the best thing we had. The wedge salad don’t get it don’t even know why they bother to serve it. I had the lamb chops and my partner had the filet, The lamb chops were extremely fatty not very well cooked and just had a strange taste? Same way with the beef filet, I don’t know what they do to it but it it was the strangest taste of any filet I’ve ever had and the texture was odd too. We also ordered three shrimp to go with the steak and they were just dry, they were big but dry and kind of tasteless. There homemade tater tot’s also had a very strange texture. The service was impeccable the staff wonderful and warm, and like I said it’s worth the view alone if you just go order appetizers and dessert. They were very kind and brought out a complementary ice cream cake for my partner’s birthday. They’ve had this concept for a while they probably need to update it and change it because it’s so sad that they don’t have food that matches the view! With tip we spent almost $ 300 for two and that was with only two cocktails.

For a steakhouse, Ser is really hanging with the big kids. Theresa was a fabulous hostess, and she took great care of us. The restaurant is located in the«Tower» section of the Hilton Anatole(made that mistake when I parked valet) on the 27th floor. One ear-popping elevator ride later, we stepped onto warm wooden floors, a gorgeous view of the Dallas skyline, and were greeted by a pianist crooning slow jams. To cut to the chase: the bar service was seriously lacking. 15 minutes for a vodka water and bourbon on the rocks? How?(& no, it wasn’t busy) The pre-dinner bread basket was a winning stack of thick slices of cheese-infused carb-ness. I wish I had brought a bigger purse to stuff them into. The best dishes: Wagyu Big Rib– the most flavorful, fall-off-the-bone meat with the cow’s rib still intact.(side note: a cow’s rib is gigantic). Creamed Corn– who doesn’t like corn? You’ll definitely enjoy it with actual popped popcorn sprinkled in it! It’s worth a try.

I can’t begin to describe the elegance and beauty of this restaurant. I took my girlfriend here for our 1 year anniversary and we were not disappointed. From the minute we exited the elevator we received great customer service. We made reservations and were promptly seated. Our waiter Robbie had a sense of humor and made excellent suggestions. We ordered crab cakes for appetizer and WOW! Delicious! Followed up by a 22oz bone in ribeye, mashed potatoes, and lobster Mac and cheese(pay the extra money to include the lobster. You’re obviously not going to this restaurant to pinch pennies). Steak was cooked exactly as we ordered and the hollandaise sauce poured over the top topped it off. We ended dinner with a different take on the crème brûlée. Different, but very much recommended if you’re looking for a not so filling dessert. Now, the best part. The view is breathtaking! It over looks the Dallas skyline. We got lucky and a storm rolled through giving quite an impressive lightening shoe. As if the view wasn’t enough, the background music of a piano player with smooth singing makes for a romantic evening.

So you are definitely paying for the view! Beautiful view of Dallas. Much better as it gets dark. The service was impeccable. Anna, Jorge, and Adalia were just wonderful. Got the lobster bisque. Great flavor not enough lobster. I got the chef special as recommended. A striped bass with golden beets, olive oil potatoes and artichoke hearts. The bass was cooked beautifully. The golden beets were flavorful and had a nice crunch. My friend got the strip medium rare. Enjoyed it. We shared lobster macaroni and creamed spinach both delicious. Beignets for dessert. Also fairly good selection of drinks to choose from. I can’t say I’d go back again unless another business meeting but it was a good night. Again the service and the view made it spectacular!

A group of friends and I went to SER for Easter Brunch this year and I have to say, we did not have a good experience. It was a four course meal that took literal 3HOURS. Basically it was a meal an hour! The server came to our table about 35min after we ordered and explain to us that the«micro» machine had gone down and she had to hand write everything to the chefs. I can understand that to an extent but 3 hours for 4 courses? The manager came to our table and told us he would discount our meal. This was before we even got any food. He never came back and said anything. 1st course, good TarTar Eggs but not spectacular. 2nd course, basic salad with dressing. 3rd course, Grilled steak with AMAZING mac n cheese. 4th course, basic slice of cheesecake with drizzle. Im not sure why all that took 3 hours but in my opinion it was not worth the $ 77.00 I spent AND that is wit the discount. My recommendations is to go to the Melrose Hotel. I have been going there with friends and family for the past 5 years and it is amazing!

This was a special place. The view was magnificent. The panorama of Dallas while you eat adds to the service and food here. The steaks were perfect, the wine list extensive and at right temperature(but very pricey), and our server was very accommodating and friendly. You don’t feel jammed in here, even if its busy. It was an energetic room sound wise, and on a few night a week they have a great singer/piano man entertainer that was very enjoyable to hear. Id go there to sit in the lounge and hear him. Great night, i wish though, they have a way to have a separate valet line… besides valet stand. The line on a big night at anatole can wreck your mood. You still have to wait in the same access line, even though when you get close, they funnel you to the Ser valet. very awkward.

SĒR was my boyfriend’s favorite of the Dallas Steakhouses we have tried so far, although I’d rate it just under Perry’s in everything but service. We went during restarant week, so there was a special menu. The thing that amazed me most about SĒR was the care the staff took to ensure that cheese products were not included in our meal, even baking fresh bread for us, since their normal bread is a cheese bread. You could not ask for better service. The food was really good as well; the crab cake appetizer was the best I’ve ever had. I also really enjoyed the sauce that came with the steak.

Located at Hilton Anatole. I had my Aviation Conference at Hilton for about a week and this Steakhouse was highly recommended. Aged Prime Ribeye-tender, juicy medium rare – it was perfect! Foi Gras– like butter-melts in your mouth! Sea Bass-creamy, moist – perfectly cooked! Lobster bisque, Foi Gras sliders, Arugula salad, baby spinach with Manchego cheese, garlic mashed potatoes, purple carrots, grilled asparagus – perfect starters and side dishes! My whole family loved the fine dining experience. Excellent Steak– quality and exceptional service– Fine dining at its best! Loved the Lava cake too! We have had 4 times the experience in a whole week’s conference – it’s how much my whole family loved the exceptional food and service!

Lobster Bisque Decent but not miles better than cheaper options at other places. 45 Day Aged Prime Ribeye This thing was hugeee, like bigger than my face. I knew I wasn’t going to be able to finish as soon as it came out but wow, the meat was so tender and cooked to perfection at medium rare with a good sear. It was actually my first time having aged steak, and I was impressed! The fact that it’s ribeye probably helped too — my favorite cut. The olive oil potatoes were also a great addition. Two people can probably share this dish! We also got some sort of chocolate lava cake on the house(after going through like 3 wine bottles…) — a typical lava cake for me. Great view of Dallas with huge floor to ceiling windows(the highways were still so busy at 8PM). The live music/singer was nice, but he was a bit too loud. Overall, I am not so sure if this place is worth it if I had to pick up the tab(was on business trip) but the aged ribeye was pretty amazing!

Service is very weak. We were a party of 8, and the restaurant was not very busy. Our waiter was not especially attentive. The wedge salad had a dressing that was like Catalina out of the bottle. The calamari was served cold with noodles. It was not very impressive. The thing to order in this restaurant are definitely the steaks. But, in Texas, let’s face it, steaks are a staple. The asparagus and the onion rings were also very good. Skip the macaroni and cheese. It tastes like the out of the box kind.

First time at SER and it was phenomenal! Great service, food and wine list! Co-worker and I shared a bottle of Meomi and the Lobster Mac and Cheese was delicious. Our sever Tabitha was knowledgeable, welcoming, attentive and just all around friendly! She definitely went above and beyond in terms of service. I would highly recommend this restaurant to friends visiting Dallas, not to mention the great views!

DISAPPOINTED!!! Went here for New Years Eve. I wasn’t impressed at all. They had a special menu for New Years(a Sampler). It took over 3 hours to eat. I wasn’t in any type of a hurry, but we came here hungry ready for a good dinner, and this was redic. My Surf and Turf(the main meal that took 2.5 hours to get out to me), was ordered Medium Rare. There was ZERO pink inside. When I cut it open I showed the waiter, and he offered to replace it, but explained it could take a little bit as the kitchen was running a little«slow»… I couldn’t even consider waiting 2 more hours! I would try to be more understanding because it was a «special night», however the place wasn’t «full». There were open Tables, didn’t see overly busy. Regardless, they should have staffed up for it. I typically love to give great reviews, but I was terribly DISAPPOINTED…

Great view! With an amazing view of Dallas, this place would be a great experience for anyone looking to feel on top of the world. The food was ok. Salmon had too many bones, the pineapple upside down cake left much to be desired. Tasted stored bought with 1 scoop of ice cream. The shrimp cocktail was a little bit over cooked but the house made cocktail sauce with corn was very good. Would recommend for appetizers and drinks and mainly just the view!

Good but not great. I’ve just had so many other fantastic steak houses in Dallas, that this fell short of all others. Everything was just ok, and there was nothing I hated particularly. But there was not amazing either — or even great. Oh wait. It has a great view…

My lady and I came here for our anniversary dinner and i was able to make reservations two months in advance with no problems. I appreciated the attention they paid to making sure my seating was correct and that we would be able to enjoy a skyline view while we ate. The ambiance and view really help justify the price tag when you eat at this restaurant because on the night we were there, there was live piano music to accompany our stellar view of the city. We orders the 45 days aged Steak and the Daily Fish which was a type of sea bass. In addition we ordered the Mac and Cheese with bacon. Both the fish and steak were delicious and I’ve never had a more delicious steak. The fish was tender and juicy. The chef did a fantastic job of not overcooking either dish and I thought that the dip for the steak was not too heavy and accompanied the steak perfectly. My steak vote can’t be taken as holy word because I’ve not had the opportunity to sample many places but at least you will know it’s not crap here. The service was my only sticking point during the meal. As soon as we sat down the waiter was prompt to greeting us but as soon as I said I don’t want to order any alcohol he visibly changed his attitude towards me and was more curt when speaking to us. I get that alcohol is a big portion of your tab but that’s no reason to treat me like a second class citizen. Throughout the meal he didn’t check on us as much as other tables and towards the end rarely even looked at us so we could finish our meal. We asked someone else for a dessert menu and it took him another 10 – 15 minutes to come by and ask us if we wanted dessert. At which point I had lost patience and said no. I don’t fault the restaurant for his rudeness but it definitely took away from my experience. Give it a shot for a date night if you have the money. Expect to spend the 4 $ signs.

Went here for an anniversary dinner and it was the best experience I have ever had! The staff was extremely knowledgable and went out of their way to provide such a beautiful experience. The view, the drinks. And the food was exceptional as well! Our table was right next to the windows, allowing us the perfect view of Dallas’ sky rises. We started off with the delectable Jumbo Lump Crab Cakes & an order of Lobster Bisque. They were so kind to split the Lobster Bisque into two presentable plates without us having to ask! For my entrée I chose the ever so tender & large Day Boat Sea Scallops with a side of the typical Grilled Asparagus. His entrée was the Wagyu Big Rib. And the name says it all! It was fall off the bone tender with the size ratio as big as my arm! The waiter suggested the Creamed Corn. And it was a perfect match! I’m not a big fan of creamed corn, but this place has converted me. We finished the night with Millionaire Pie. Absolutely decedent and rich in flavor. It was the perfect touch to such a wonderful meal Looking forward to coming here more often!

Excellent meal. The apps and salads are very well done. The raw bar is well varied. The steak menu is extensive. We shared a porterhouse for two with two sides and had some sides left. The porterhouse was cooked to perfection. Wine list is excellent. On the 27th floor and a beautiful view of the city.

After my first visit to Ser was so incredibly wonderful, I couldn’t wait for the next special occasion to arise so we had an excuse to go again. Unfortunately, over the last several months, Ser has sadly fallen not only on the service front but most importantly, the food. Some friends and I went to Ser last week during the middle of the week and while the restaurant had a decent amount of people in it, it was by no means crowded. Even so, it took our waiter over 15 minutes to come over and bring water and take our drink order. Instead of asking if we’d like to start with cocktails, he just asked if we were ready to order. Ser isn’t a fast casual spot, its where people go to dine so the fact that he had taken so long to initially come over and then rushed us to order, left an immediate sour taste. Wanting to enjoy the night we ordered our cocktails and told him that we would be taking our time to review the menu, we would love to hear about any specials, etc and he seemed so put out he walked away while one friend was asking about a certain cocktail on their menu. Finally, we placed our order. Out of 6 of us, only one person liked their dinner. The steaks were severely under-seasoned, my scallops were so over-cooked, my knife wouldn’t even cut through. Another friends duck was more like sandpaper due to over-cooking as well. The waiter forget three of the five sides we ordered and paid no mind to our request on how people wanted their steaks cooked. For $ 30++ an entrée, it was an extreme disappointment. After letting our waiter know that we weren’t thrilled with our meals and reminded him for the third time that our sides had still not come out, he did send out two desserts on the house. While that was a very nice gesture, it does not make for the desire to return. It was a waste of several hundred dollars and not to mention a stunning view of Downtown Dallas. With so many amazing restaurants in town, don’t waste your time at this one!

The setting is on point and the server was exceptional… but that’s what kept me from the 1 Star rating… the disappointment was the food. First the Lobster Bisque was missing something ~ Lobster! …and looked a lot like the Tomato Bisque. Beef Dishes were über small. Friend ordered their specialty Tenderloin and I swear I got more beef in my Beef Hash dish at the Omni Room Service the next day. I had the Lamb. I think it was Lamb. It was so filled with gristle j couldn’t eat it. Friend who ordered Scallops… she said they were sorta spongy?! …the Crab Cake… good but not great. The Arugula Watermelon salad was pretty good… more watermelon would have made it better. The fries were tasty but why advertise Tater Tots but no longer serve them? Overall. Pass.

The view from Ser is fantastic and sets the tone right away and the servers I had backed up the atmosphere with great service. This review is pretty straight forward, great view, great service, unique cocktails and the steak I had was fantastic! It’s a bit spendy but if your will to pay it’s a good spot.

On my second visit, the food was better but still not $$$$ quality. Service was slightly better, but amazingly underperforming for the location and cost of a fine restaurant. There were a lot of executive staff running around not talking to customers, a lot of support staff too, but service was still poor. The friendly hostess tired to seat us in the bowels of the restaurant next to a giant party when the main dining area and its excellent views had openings(on a slow night after 8pm!). My conclusion is that the wait staff is poorly trained and that management are snobs. My recommendation to management: Load up the team and take them to a Stephan Pyles restaurant and find out what good waiters do. My recommendation to diners, visit SER for a cocktail at sunset, then hightail it to Uptown to eat anywhere else.

Wife and I both had the Spinalis and wedge salad along with the pork belly and Mac and cheese. Service was excellent. Waiter seemed really passionate about the menu and made some great suggestions. I ordered the Oban 14 and realized afterwards the steak would have paired better with and Islay Scotch, but oh well… Scotch was still nice. Prices on the scotch menu were very reasonable all things considered. Spinalis is essentially a cross section of meat from above the ribeye, also called the rib cap. Compared to the last rib cap I’d had, the steaks here were a little under seasoned and a little undercooked for medium rare, but it was forgivable with such a tender and tasty cut of meat. I do believe this is the only place in Dallas that does the Spinalis cut, so I would recommend you try it out. Much more fat than the filet mignon, and it’s right next to where a bone in ribeye sits, so you know it’s gonna be tasty. Don’t bother with the SER sauce. It’s a nice orange-gingery sauce but it did nothing for me when paired with the steak. Maybe it would go better with a chicken dish? Wedge salad was really good. I normally hate blue cheese, but it is so mellowed on the salad that the taste blends in with the dressing. Mac and cheese was really good. Very creamy sauce. Pork Belly was the clear winner. The fat was almost as creamy as butter and the pork skin was just right with some crunch. Fresh Jalapeño and corn salsa with butter are a great combination. Overall, I can recommend this place if you’re looking for some fine dining with an incredible view. Call ahead if you want a view of downtown or you’ll be stuck looking at the Trinity river.

Yes Sēr!(I’m corny guys– just laugh). This is a very classy and cool place. Seafood, steak you can find what you are in the mood for here. Also service was great. From the maître’d all the way down to the busboys. Everyone cares about your dining experience. Ask for a table near the window so you can check out the awesome view! Restaurant is on the 27th floor of the Hilton Anatole. Had a reservation so was seated promptly. There was a lounge player on the piano the entire night and singing. I like the actual playing of the piano better. She was good. Anyway I ordered the wedge salad and for my entrée I received the filet of beef. Both were great. The steak was cooked just like I like it(med rare) and seasoned well. Had an a la carte asparagus and mashed potatoes added to the meal. When I checked in on Unilocal I report that it was in the pricey range but it’s actually in the ultra pricey range. So be prepared to spend a few hundred dollars. I ordered a glass of moscato d’asti and a cocktail-dama voladora was its name. Both drinks were served in very small glasses which was very weird to me. Maybe the bartender thought I should get my drinks in a sippy cup lol. If you find yourself in Dallas and want to have a nice evening out, I recommend this place.

I am surprised there aren’t more stars for this place. I attended one of SER’s wine tasting dinners and it was an amazing experience. The view, of course, is spectacular. But the food was equally so. The staff was friendly and accommodating. And the wine, Raymond Vineyards, was superb. The event itself was a blast. I’m definitely going back for more.

Staying at the Hilton Anatole for the AMA conference and decided to try this place for steak. The restaurant is on the top floor of the Tower building and gave me a déjà vu moment because it strongly resembles Top of the Hub in Boston. We were seated immediately. It wasn’t too busy. The view of Dallas is awesome! I love that the drink menu and wine list is given to us on an IPad. The wine list is very good and appropriately priced given the higher end nature of the restaurant. We didn’t order any appetizers or sides, but we each got one of their steaks. I had the filet medium rare. I thought it was delicious, cooked to perfection, and wonderfully seasoned. There was live music, which I feel could get pretty loud if you sat closer to the performer. Otherwise the music did not interfere with conversation. The singers are very talented. Service is fantastic, as expected at a place like this. Our server was unbelievably knowledgeable about the menu and had great suggestions depending on various moods and interests. Overall a great experience.
