This is a no frills taco joint that was moderately busy. The two ladies that helped us were knowledgable and really helpful. I enjoyed the chicken taco combo plate(with onions and cilantro) and the medium salsa was a nice addition. My companion had the nacho plate and really enjoyed it. The next time I go, I’d try the steak tacos or the breakfast burritos. The parking is a little tight but it’s a busy area!

How this only has 3.5 stars I’ll never know. Street tacos are off the chain, breakfast tacos too. Add tons of different salsa types and Topo Chico and you’re set. Super friendly too and easy parking.

I had two ground beef tacos on corn flour tortillas i think it was wheat though. They were good but very greasy kind of reminded me of Taco Bell a little. Im not sure about these being authentic because I’ve eaten authentic several times before and they are not greasy. However, they were really good and i will go back! The place is really clean and service was quick and they have several sauces for you to choose i liked the salsa one and the Bombero. Next time I’ll try the Al pastor and chicken ones. The young man who took my order was very nice and he dont rush you to order. Just on the service alone I’ll be back.

BUTTERYMELT-IN-YOUR-MOUTHLENGUA– OMGEATHERENOW We were VERY pleasantly surprised by Tacos Y Mas, a taqueria in a 1980s strip center across the street from Medical City Dallas Hospital. We walked in and were greeted by all the accolades this former taco stand has piled up over the last 10 years– obviously they are a mom-and-pop outfit that has achieved success :) We tried the following tacos: carne al pastor, lengua, Cancun(seasoned grilled cod) and Capitan(seasoned grilled Tilapia), all of which were served on fresh tender corn tortillas. All the tacos were delicious, but the lengua was TODIEFOR! Buttery soft, melty and tender, mild in flavor, but luxurious at the same time — this may be the best lengua taco in town. It almost seems a shame to put a little Ranchero salsa on – I had the first bite without salsa, second bite with salsa, and third bite without, because the lengua needed nothing else. Carne al pastor was good, but the meat, although it fell apart well and was sauced nicely, seemed slightly hard and overcooked. It’s not the best we have had. Fish tacos were well seasoned and the grilled fish was flaky, tender, and moist — not overdone at all(so easy to do with fish tacos). Ranchero salsa went well with these, and counteracted some over-saltiness on the fish seasoning mix. In all — EXCELLENT tacos! We will be back!

I totally love the Breakfast tacos!!! You can’t get any better this this place. They have become more popular in recent years and the prices have gone up signifcantly but for the quality of the food its worth it. One breakfast burrito will filled you up well past lunch time. For lunch there is a variety of tacos that are there for the taking but I prefer the Mah Mahi tacos.

Came here for one(yes you heard that right), one breakfast taco, so my experience is limited. However, I can say that, that one breakfast taco was pretty stinking good! Quick counter service with lots of variety in breakfast and lunch/dinner tacos. This place is known for is street tacos and I look forward to returning for something other than breakfast. I ordered the potato, egg, and cheese taco with guac and pico on it. Drum Rolll… they didn’t charge me for guac! Now that is special. Got my taco very quickly and it came with a yummy salsa to put on top. They have a menu of different salsas you can pick from that range from mild-very spicy. My taco was cooked perfectly and I was in and out in less than 20 minutes. Will definitely be coming back!

Love the Monterey tacos and sauces available. Service is great too. The only problem is that cheese quesadillas are over priced at 7 dollars. They should be 4 dollars I think but they don’t have a cheese quesadilla option JB the computer for the cashier to use so every time I order it, it is as expensive as a meat option.

Not bad, a place for decent street tacos. They are definitely a cleaned-up chain version style place for tacos, versus a lot of places are one stop shops. The tacos were alright, but they were lacking a little bit in a few areas. The pastor tacos weren’t very flavorful surprisingly, just tasted like pork that was red, but missing that savory sweet tang of puerco al pastor. They were out of chicken when I went(not sure how that happens) so we substituted beef, and it was bland and soft. The best tacos were the carnitas, the meat was tender but had some crispy bits… good juicy flavor that was even better with a little lime. I was not a fan of their tortillas, they were much thicker than I’m used to, and when you do the standard double up on corn tortillas it was chewy. Prices were fair, they food came out quick(no one was there), and tacos are one of my favorites, so I’ll be back. But I don’t think we’ll make a special trip.

So good. The top hot sauce was very good. This is good taqueria food that shouldn’t scare away the gringos. I was alone and just had the pastor tacos with beans and rice.

Yes. I give them four stars which I rarely do. This is the way you do tacos. Reasonably priced, hot and delicious. I had a chorizo and egg and bacon and egg. I had to wait about ten minutes because they cooked it all from scratch. I’ll definitely be back. Looks like the entire menu is interesting.

I love coming here with my boyfriend. The barbacoa is so delicious. Staff is always friendly. We order, grab a shiner, and they’ll bring it to our table shortly. I’ve never seen them busy, which is odd to me because the food is so good. I feel like it’s one of those unknown spots. I hope they stay.

why do i keep coming back to this place? The service staff’s personality is non-existent. The counter is way too tall for the staff. At least they accurate and fast. So why do I keep coming back? The Tacos! Lengua and Bistec por favor. Give me lots of these little nuggets of yum. The sauces are sooo good too. I guess with tacos this good you can buy them from an automat and it would not make a difference.

Yikes, gross. I ordered 4 barbacoa tacos with onions & cilantro. The food looked okay when I got it, but tasted like crap. Lukewarm, soupy and greasy — I only ate one of them and bit down on a piece of bone! Ick. Chips were bland and tasted as though they’d been double-fried to re-use them, but the salsa and queso were decent. Guacamole was meh. A tiny bit of salt or lemon juice even would’ve been an improvement. Nothing seemed to have all that much flavor, hot or not. Overall a mediocre experience. *When I brought the bone fragment to the manager he moved in frightened slow motion before he finally said«Do you want anything?» I just said«no, just wanted you to know it happened.» The whole staff smiled at me and broke out into relieved laughter. Kind of odd.

The other day I stopped in Mattito’s and spotted the Tacos Y Mas sign a couple of doors down. I hesitated, thought about it, and went into Mattito’s anyway but made a mental note to come back. Since I was in the same area today, I thought that I’d stop in and give it a try… I’m glad that I did! Tacos Y Mas is a very casual street taco shop. They have other options like burritos, but tacos are their specialty, hence the name. We ordered the Trios(a combo of chips with a cup of queso, a cup of guac, and a cup of salsa) and it didn’t disappoint! The queso was decent, they went real heavy on the cilantro in the guac but it was still good, and the salsa was my favorite of the three, it had a real good kick! I ordered the veggie, the shrimp, and the fish tacos. All of the tacos were good! I think my favorite was the Capitan(fish). It came with a nicely grilled piece of fish topped with onions and cilantro. The veggie was a blend of cheese, onions, peppers and shrooms… good stuff! The shrimp taco was real good as well. The avocado was a great finishing touch… good stuff! Make sure to tell them your choice of salsa that you’d like to use on your tacos. They’ll bring out any of a wide variety of options ranging from mild to what they call hot. I ask for the hottest that they had and she eventually brought out three bottles… one was called Bombastic, one was called Bravado, and the last one didn’t have a label on it. They were all good, but not very hot to me. They had a nice kick and added a nice bit of flavor, but don’t expect anything to have you scrambling for milk or bread… it’s not that serious. I’m real glad that I stopped here today. Once day I want to try some of their breakfast tacos… I believe that they serve them all day. The prices are great and the tacos are real good too. Great option if you have a craving for some tacos!

This location is so much better than the location in Richardson, Tx they give u more meat in your taco and the service is better. The restaurant is very clean with a casual atmosphere and they have free wi-fi. Breakfast is served all day there. The breakfast tacos are the best tacos you ever want to taste and I truly mean that

Good food, if this was closer to my house, I would eat here somewhat often. I was in the area and saw the sign; figured let’s give it a try. I had a burrito and a street platter. WOW that was a lot of food!!! I won’t call this place spectacular, but I’ll call it pretty doggon good! The service was good and fast, and the food was pretty yummy. My quest for the perfect taco continues.
