Great addition to the neighborhood! I’ve been here for breakfast twice and for a caffeine pick-me-up. They serve Four Barrel(hipster coffee)! Breakfast items are pretty simple — bagel breakfast sandwiches, one lets, oatmeal, huevos rancheros, chorizo, etc. I was able to get an order of Peruvian chicken even though it was not 11 am. The Peruvian Chicken was a tad dry. The green sauce accompanying it was spicy. I’m a little partial to the way I’ve been served Peruvian chicken which is with a garlic aioli and cilantro hot sauce. It came with fries and vegetables. The bagel sandwiches are fine. The service could be better, more with a smile and more friendliness. The owner is great, very friendly. The prices are reasonable especially for the organic, fresh food they are serving. I do wish they had some menu items for kids or the ability to just order eggs or toast. My daughter’s egg, potato and toast ended up costing me more than my bagel sandwich. Parking is on the street which can be tricky to find.

Great place. Tasty food(I’ve had the bagel breakfast sandwich and the burger, both were quite good) and a classy environment. I’m very happy this place is walking distance from my house. I do wish they had fountain drinks though. They have some foreign soda that I wasn’t brave enough to try.

How the heck does this place have 4.5 stars? the food was bland as hell, and the waitress was inattentive and didn’t understand a word we’d say. the menu is the most underwhelming one i’ve seen. and the inside needs a lot of work. the«upstairs» part of the restaurant is messy.

From the outside this place isn’t that attractive, but once you step inside, the warm greetings from the staff and the gentle flow of caffeinated conversation quickly wrap you in a welcoming hug and make this place seem like a great little spot to hang out, catch up with friends and enjoy lighter fare. I almost don’t even want to give it five stars because I know that more people will find this lovely little spot and soon it will be crowded with others looking for the same ambiance I stumbled upon. It is rather chilly inside(but that probably has more to do with the cold rain that was falling all day than the actual café, it was cold everywhere that day). The coffee is terrific, even black. The art on the walls reflects different regions where coffee beans are grown and gathered for harvest. The staff is exceptionally kind and helpful and the food is delicious. This isn’t your name-brand coffee shop with barely graduated high school kids running the show behind the bar, this is a sophisticated dinner/café with an air of classy relaxation and coffee that even the gods should be jealous of.

I’ve passed by this spot so many times with my fiancée I decided heck they have some good Unilocal reviews let’s check it out. We arrived and it wasn’t too crowded. The restaurant is chilly inside so definitely you need a jacket. The menu was very small, not too many choices. I went with what most Unilocalers got which they’re known for. As my fiancée and I digged in it didn’t exactly taste anything special. Bland taste and it was a small portion. I felt like this was a pretty basic breakfast meal. Overall wasn’t thrilled and the place wasn’t too great in my opinion. I wouldn’t be making a stop here in the future. Service was pretty friendly however, but it was weird as one of the waitress was on her phone at the counter and telling people at the door to seat themselves. Seemed pretty tacky and lazy of them.

Meh. The first time I came here I was looking for a late breakfast but, they were out of bagels. Ended up getting a burger instead. It was fine but, nothing to write home about. Plenty of other places do better. Came in today and got the bagel sandwich w/bacon(of course). It was ok though, a bit bland. Hint to the kitchen, try seasoning the food while you cook. Even a bit of pepper at least… The coffee was good but, just know, no one will refill your cup(as, expected at a café). All in all, not bad. Just not really good either.

Not bad, not bad… I was telling my friends«I feel like my rating/Yelp review would be different if I didn’t know how to cook.» I’d rate this place more like a 3.5−3.75 if I could. I live right up the street from Mission Edge Café and have been eyeing it since its construction. We kind of just took the place for granted since it’s literally 3 blocks away. We couldn’t really decide what to eat so we figured this would be a good stop. –1 Food: Gosh. I kind of hate myself for not fully enjoying my meal. My friends and I are always so ardent when it comes to breakfast and brunch. Here’s why I say my rating would’ve been different if I didn’t know how to cook. I feel like I could’ve bought the ingredients myself and cooked at home. The food was good, don’t get me wrong… I just think I’ll be skipping the food and coming back for the coffee next time. Mission Edge Café doesn’t have a super extensive menu. As suggested by fellow Unilocalers, we ordered the Huevos Rancheros, Eggs and Chorizo, and Egg Sandwich Bagel. I must say, their eggs in all their dishes were eggstatic(ba dum tsssssss) and presentation was eye-pleasing. The Huevos Rancheros was item that stood out from the three. It consisted of tortillas topped with two eggs, beans, sour cream, cheese, and a side of avocado. The eggs were the highlight of the dish, perfectly oozing once cut. They weren’t overcooked and had a slight crisp around its circumference. Now that I think about it, I didn’t get the tomato-cilantro salsa that’s supposed to be given on the side. The ingredients were indeed fresh and I didn’t feel super bloated after my meal. The Eggs and Chorizo came with a side of toast. Originally the dish comes with bell peppers, but we got it substituted for spinach instead. The dish was good, but there was nothing special about it. It tastes exactly what you’d think it would taste like. The last item we got was the Egg Sandwich Bagel. We swore it was like magic because everything remained perfectly intact as we were taking bites. It might’ve been a bit better if the eggs were cooked the way the ones in the Huevos Rancheros were. We added two pieces of bacon for it for an additional $ 2, but didn’t think it was worth it. Again, this was another item that was relatively basic and tasted exactly how it sounds. Overall we were left partially satiated. We were content that we ate, but not as satisfied as we wished to be. +1 Ambiance/Cleanliness: I like what they did to the place! There was the hipster, almost rustic-industrial feel to the café. The walls were brightly colored, the wooden floors were well kept and the tables were minimal and tidy. It’s a definite step up to what the place used to be like! There was light music playing in the background. I feel like this place would be a splendid place to study. The area it’s in isn’t exactly the ghetto, but it is at the division and intersection of where San Francisco and Daly City meet. The parking available is just metered ones on the street, but if you enter the neighborhood, you’d be able to find a few parking around the residential area. +1 Pricing: I feel like this place has to maintain its cheap pricing to complete with the other breakfast joints in the area. The prices were pretty average in comparison to portion sizes. Huevos Rancheros — $ 8.50 Eggs and Chorizo — $ 8.00 Egg Sandwich Bagel with added Bacon —(originally $ 6) $ 8.00 +1 Service: We weren’t exactly welcomed or greeted with a smile, but once we got situated the server was really easygoing and friendly. He wasn’t the assertive type and cracked light jokes. Although this place is nearby, I didn’t experience that«kick» other people were experiencing. I’m a little sad because I really wished for this spot to be my neighborhood«go-to.» If you’re someone that has no time to cook breakfast or don’t want the effort, this place can do the job. The inexpensive pricing matches the decent sized portions you get. I don’t think this place is worth going out of the way for, but you could be the judge of that.

100% awesome. It’s so nice to have a café like this on the Daly City border. Since it’s far away from the hustle and bustle of downtown, it’s super easy to get street parking(with no meters too!). Inside the café is incredibly clean and refreshingly modern for the area it’s in. The staff is polite and helpful, the food and coffee are excellent. The interior is huge and there’s always a place to sit. Typically Daly City is dotted with laundromats, donut shops, and run down hole-in-the-wall type places. But the people here deserve alot better. I hope the Mission Edge café inspires more businesses to open up that are just as nice.

I ordered the breakfast burrito. I added chorizo which was delicious. I asked for hot sauce which is homemade but lookout it’s hot! Good flavor, though. I also got the homemade mixed berry iced tea which was amazing! They’ve done a nice job with the remodel. Very quaint ambiance. Overall my expectations were exceeded.

Been here several times now. Chai = strong and full of spices. Burger = delicious, juicy, and fresh. It’s also not on a marshmallow bun, so it’s much more enjoyable. Comes with roasted potatoes and salad. $ 11.00 Tomato soup = tangy, savory, and hardy. Vegetarian soup varies and prices vary, too. Mixed green salad with beets and peppers = refreshing and light. $ 5.00 Service = friendly. The owner is always on top of it.

The owner, his daughter, and other staff are super friendly and committed to quality across the board. The remodeled space is light and attractive, the coffee is high quality, the food delicious. He’s very friendly to my 1 and 4 year olds. For dinner we’ve had the roast chicken which is moist and flavorful with an excellent Peruvian sauce on the side. The fries and side salad were bland though(though I’ve heard they have a new chef who has changed that). The chicken soup is my kids’ favorite and we enjoy it also. There’s a kale salad we often get too that’s also really good. For breakfast the huevos rancheros are fantastic the potatoes very good, the eggs and chorizo delicious.

Their breakfast burrito is so good it’s gonna make you want to come here everyday! I had that and a fresh squeezed orange juice and a seasonal fruit cup. I’m also having a coffee drip to go so hopefully that’s good as well. We came here looking for good food and coffee and I’m so glad we weren’t disappointed. Wish they had more dessert selection(can’t remember if we saw any on the menu)

Quick, friendly service. Got seated right away on a Saturday morning. They serve 4 barrel coffee, pretty reasonable price for the cup, but refills are an additional 75 cents. Kind of a put off for a breakfast place. It’s one of those joys I look forward to when I have breakfast: server stopping by and refilling a cup of hot joe — on the house of course :) Had a sausage breakfast bagel sandwich and the omelette. Both were standard fare, nothing too special. Edible and enjoyable, but not unique. Expected a patty in the bagel but got cut up links instead. Well prepared omelette — not memorable. I’d come back for coffee… To go.

We wanted to grab a quick breakfast before heading over to the zoo and found this place via Unilocal. The neighborhood was a little ghetto, but I was surprised how nice it was inside! Upon walking in, we had no idea whether to grab a table or order at the counter. After we walked halfway in and turned back around, a waitress asked if we were ordering to go or dining in. We chose dining in. Grabbed a table at the bar area and ordered two iced coffees and two breakfast entrees. The coffees arrived promptly and she gave us milk… but no sugar or swizzle stick. I don’t know — I just walked over to the counter with everything and poured my sugar there and stirred everything. 20 minutes later(and I know 20 minutes because I checked in on Unilocal) and still no food. As I’m about to ask the waitress, she comes up and apologizes for the wait. Okay, cool. I’ll keep sipping my coffee. 40 minutes later and I’m about to walk out, but my boyfriend tells me to wait a little longer. At this point, I’m staring at my watch as the time passes. One hour later the food comes out. Are you kidding me?! If I ordered something fancy, then okay. I get it — but my boyfriend got a bagel sandwich with eggs, bacon, and tomatoes with a side of potatoes. I got the eggs and chorizo. The lady puts our food down and walks away. Sooo… do we eat it with our hands? My boyfriend said his bagel was amazing, and it did look good. But my eggs and chorizo was more of eggs with bell peppers and onions :(at this point I’m pissed off because I was hoping the food would be amazing. At least the coffee was good though. Two stars because they did apologize and the interior looked nice(lol). And I think we just got unlucky with the service.

Visited around 9:30am on a Saturday. Parking: Not convenient. It’s a given for restaurants that don’t have their own. But they are pretty much located in a busy street and neighborhood so parking is pretty hard to find. We were able to find 1 after foing around the block 3 times. Customer Service: Excellent! They are very welcoming and nice. Our server came by atleast 3 times to make sure we had refilled coffee or if everything was great/needed anything. Price: Also good price for the portion of food they give you. Really worth it! Food quality & taste: 8.5÷10, i got the Eggs&chorizo, it was good, but I think I should not have added mushroom, it might have modified the original taste. But nonetheless it was still good food. My boyfriend got the Huevos rancheros, which I tried so I can write about it! Now that was really good! Very flavorful and also good portion. I think it would be nice if they had like carnitas added in it, then it will definitely maximize the taste! Coffee: If i am not mistaken they serve Four Barrel coffee here. My boyfriend said his tasted bland. I did not try it. i had a small cup pf latte which was pretty good. I’d give it 7.5÷10 In store appearance and cleanliness: 10⁄10. The floors are clean, the tables, everything looks brand new pretty much given that this place is pretty new. You can kind of see the kitchen from where we were sitting and the kitchen looked clean, also the floor in the kitchen. The bathroom was clean as well 9⁄10 I will definitely come back here. :)

The café is very open, clean and inviting. Food was great at a fair price. Will definitely come back. My eats: Lamb stew special — good olé comfort food with savory and tomatoey notes. Tuna melt– nontraditional and clean tasting. Not as great as the stew but fair.

Newly opened café that serves good quality food. Their mixed green salad was so fresh and lightly dressed, breakfast bagel sandwich hits the spot and their huevos rancheros had a bit kick to it. Overall, enjoyed everything and even their friendly service. The place is very spacious with nice frames on the wall and most of all, its VERY clean. They offer free WiFi so its perfect for studying or bringing work while having good coffee and pastry. Definitely will be my new go-to café when I have to do some work.

Came here on a Sunday afternoon. I specifically chose to come here because it said«HOTANDNEW» on Unilocal,it was close to my house, and we were too hungover to drive anywhere that didn’t have accessible parking. Right when we walked through the door, the staff greeted us kindly with cute menus. The place had a «healthy» vibe to it with its vegan granola bars being sold in the front counter, and adorable coffee décor(there was a tiny painting of an espresso cup with a sad face, and it was labeled«Depresso». totally won my heart). My boyfriend got the Chorizo with a nice fresh squeezed orange juice. And I got the Huevos Rancheros and a drip coffee. The portions were okay, but it’s great for its price(around $ 8.50– breakfast does not run this low in the SF area). The coffee was great by the way. It’s definitely a good brunch place. It’s on a corner, and the restaurant has huge windows where you can enjoy natural sunlight(Now, if there were only more sunlight in Daly City. hmmm).
