This place is horrible. Pizza was really bad. There was only two napkins with the pizza. Totally cheap and one of worst pizzas ever.

This was the first time I have ordered from Papa Rays and I did not know what to expect. I order the Buffalo Chicken pizza and a Cheese pizza(with added pepperoni — it was one of their combos). The cheese pizza was tasteless and I could not even taste the pepperoni. It was like eating cardboard. The chicken pizza was inedible…1) Their was barely any sauce on the pizza which made it dry. 2) The chicken was that cheap processed chicken that is cubbed and I found bits of fat and even found a piece of gristle. We had just arrived in San Francisco and it was the closest one to where we were staying. Do not order this if you are hungry. It would be easier to drive across town and get drive through. It took over an hour to arrive and cost over 30 dollars which is pricey for 2 pizzas(not including tip). I definitely was expecting a lot more for that price and papa rays was a complete disappointment.

From the outside not sure what to expect. Its a great neighborhood pizza place, parking isn’t very convenient but I parked at McDonalds across the street and ran over. Its probably really perfect if you’re watching a show at the cow palace. The service here is great. The workers are really cool and comfortable to talk too. They are very patient also. I honestly haven’t tried the pizza yet . I’ve tried all the sandwiches and sides tho and I am very impressed. The buffalo bleu cheese sandwich is my favorite. I like the onion rings too. They are very different then what you’d expect. They taste healthy too. Its really hard too choose what too get here because the food all looks good here. Eventually I’ll try everything. I give this place my stamp of yum approval. I love this place. Hey the prices are great too.

Very dissatisfied after ordering from grub hub. I was not feeling well and craving pizza. After waiting almost over an hour for my pizza, I found a hair in the first slice I bit into. Never ordering from here again!

Not so sure about the amount of stars I’m giving this place but, while I was waiting for my pizza(which was for like an hour), lots of homeless people that I believe were ‘high’ or ‘drunk’ passed by or walked in and I’ve never felt so uncomfortable before. I should’ve ordered instead now that I think about it.

This place is horrible. Don’t order the wings. Intact I’m not even sure if it’s chicken you’re getting its so gross I couldn’t even try to eat it. Pizza was nasty as well. If I could give this place 0 stars I would. Waste of money. You’re better off going somewhere else.

Terrible. Burnt. Tasteless. Horrible service. Avoid at all costs. I had ordered from Papa Rays one or twice before. It was nominally decent, so when we got back at 1am and wanted a calzone we decided to order from them. This was a huge mistake. The calzone was burnt to a crisp, and what was worse when I called them they made no effort to correct this. We had already waited 1.5 hrs to get the burnt calzone, and patiently we called them. We asked them to send a new one or refund the money, but they said it would take another hour to deliver. Since it had already been 1.5 hours to receive it, we believe it was unreasonable to wait another 1 hour making it 4am by the time we were able to eat. When I asked for a refund the guy refused and said«Just put it on Unilocal!» So here we are, putting it on Unilocal. Avoid at all costs… enjoy this work of art. UPDATE: I emailed Eat24 the picture, they agreed it was totally unacceptable and refunded me. Pro Tip: Do NOT order food from here unless you feel like flushing money down the toilet.

FORDELIVERYONLY. Pizza = good but they truly failed at thin crust this time. We’ve ordered thin crust several times from this place, so we know what their thin crust should be. Tonight was Not it. Skip the lasagna and eggplant parmigiana. Both were sub par. Eggplant parmigiana had stringy eggplant skin. Comes with penne with marinara(not noted on their EAT24 menu, and it was soggy.) $ 11.99 Lasagna was boring. Heavy on the onions. $ 12.99 They never provide the paper plates as requested, and if they don’t offer it, then they shouldn’t have it on their list of offerings. It won’t be at the top of the list for delivery anymore.

If I can give negative stars, I would. Horrible! I did an internet order through there website for delivery. Called after 45 minutes to make sure things are going well. They said the pizza is already in route, and will be there within a few min. Waited another 50 minutes and the pizza still haven’t arrived. Made another call, and they said its being delivered right now. What was going on 45 minutes ago? Waited an additional 10 minutes and the pizza finally arrived. Poor service. Pizza was just warm. Bad for business. Charged me extra(double the amount) for my poppers on my credit card. Didn’t catch it until reviewing the order. Checked my credit card, they charged additional $ 1.00 on another transaction for no reason whatsoever. I will never order from this place every again.

Contrary on what some of the reviews here have to say, I ordered pizza from papa rays tn, and I have to say the pizza was GREAT! And the best part of everything, my pizza came in less than 30 minutes! I was so surprised, even tho they forgot our drink, I called and they knew exactly why I called, and immediately came and delivered the drink right away! Will be ordering from here more often! Thanks !;)

In the world of Little Ceasar-es, Domino’s-es, and«The Last Honest Pizza’s”-es, Papa Ray’s stands out in making great pizza for an affordable price. Think of a step above your chain pizza places at a great price point. I ordered the meat supreme special, the philly cheese steak pizza, and two orders of wings — one order hot, and the other bbq. The pizza’s were large, cheesy, and even though the delivery was half way across SF, it came piping hot! I could really taste the difference between papa ray’s, which uses fresh, quality ingredients, and the chain pizza places which probably have ingredients that spent lots of time in the freezer. The wings were tasty and i wanted to eat more, but since i was sharing with a bunch of my friends, i had to restrain myself. I’ll be ordering from them again!

My penne was way over cooked. Everything was really bland and the clam chowder was very watery. The chicken in my Alfredo was very dry and the clams were in little bits like the ones in the can. It was better the first time I ordered. I love to eat pasta but I guess If I ever order again, I’ll try a pizza.

I’ve only ordered for delivery so my review can only be based on the quality of the food. We ordered Papa Ray’s for a party we were having and got several orders of the bbq chicken wings, mozzarella sticks, garlic cheesy bread, and of course a few pizzas. The chicken wings were a pretty big disappointment, the skin on them was very greasy and they had almost no bbq sauce. The mozzarella sticks and cheesy bread however, were both quite delicious and were the biggest hit amongst the group. The pizza was just okay. It is, in my opinion, very hard to mess up pizza and while I wouldn’t call it a mess up I would also say it was not at all memorable. Overall I thought it was alright, but I’m not going to be rushing back.

My husband and I have been ordering from Papa Ray’s since we moved to San Francisco in 2012. We enjoyed their food and service overall until about last month(specifically December 11) when we ordered a couple of items off of their menu for delivery via GrubHub. One of the dishes we ordered was a linguine with clams dish that I specifically noted to add creamy Alfredo(white) sauce to in the«additional notes» section. Firstly, it arrived very late — almost approximately forty minutes past their projected delivery time. When we received the pasta dish and opened it after it was delivered, the pasta had no sauce in it whatsoever. In fact, it was terribly watery. It seemed like it was just pasta in clam juice and it looked very unappetizing and frankly, just plain disgusting. I immediately called GrubHub and let them know that I was dissatisfied with how late my food was and on top of that, the dish was not even properly prepared. The customer service representative apologized and let me know they will do their best to get in touch with Papa Ray’s and find out what happened. After several attempts of them trying to reach Papa Ray’s, I was told they were having issues getting a hold of them. When the representative finally got a hold of Papa Ray’s, they told me that the management did not agree with what I said and that there was indeed Alfredo sauce on it. They refused to send me a new dish! My first thought was: Do they think I do this for fun on weeknights? Make things up and hassle food establishments on false pretenses? This was a complete joke. I was shocked that they would not believe their customers and I requested a refund. That is how upset I was at their customer service and the management’s manners towards me. I was then told by GrubHub that they would call me back after they speak with Papa Ray’s yet again. When GrubHub called me back, they informed me that Papa Rays’ management finally agreed to send me a new dish(after what seemed like a lot of teeth pulling). I reluctantly agreed to this(I should not have). I was told to keep aside the old dish to hand back to them after they give me the new dish. At this point, it was communicated to me that my new dish would reach me in a half hour. Keep in mind I had already been waiting a very long time for my food and now I was waiting even longer for a new dish. I was hungry, annoyed and irritated. Surprise — they were very late AGAIN the second time and this time, I just called GrubHub and let them know that Papa Ray’s can keep their pasta as it just was not right how long I had been waiting and also dealing with the way management poorly handled my order and customer loyalty. GrubHub completely understood why I felt this way and refunded my ordered completely along with some free GrubHub dollars. At that time, I had decided not to order again from Papa Ray’s ever again. This evening, my husband placed an order with Papa Ray’s thinking we should simply just not hold that one bad experience we had with Papa Ray’s against them. Soon after we placed the order, we were called by GrubHub and they informed us that the management at Papa Ray’s REFUSES to deliver to us. How juvenile and stupid can an establishment’s management be?! They were firstly wrong to begin with and WE gave THEM the second chance to order from them again. If anything, we were doing them the favor. I was shocked that the management could be so vindictive for no reason or fault of ours. They were simply being childish and handling their business like a back door laundromat. Fine by us. There are more than plenty of hard working, well deserving and respectable businesses to order from! I shared my displeasure with GrubHub and traced the reason why Papa Ray’s refused service to us. When I spoke with GrubHub’s management, they completely agreed with my viewpoint and even encouraged me to pursue writing this wonderful and honest review about this poorly managed establishment. So there you go. Poor customer service, long delivery times, terrible management. An overall lack of professional courtesy and manners. P. S. We now order from Giovanni’s Pizza Bistro and they are wonderful. We highly suggest others to do so, too! We’re as happy as a clam now. Pun intended. :)

Ha ha, I fell for the okey dok! Ignore any of these positive reviews, something is UP! I should of known, when I asked that they did not butter the french bread that comes with the spaghetti, But to send extra, the woman taking my order tells me I can have the butter that is melted, actually she said, popcorn butter, or garlic. Not cold butter. I understand the melted, but totally lost about the cheap ass popcorn butter. Still I have them deliver, only to find out that the meatballs on my mans spaghetti, and on my meatball sandwich were actually frozen meatballs that you find in safeway. The meatball sandwich was 4 small meatballs sliced in three slices and layed out. I kind you not. Wait! I have pictures. The best they could offer as a refund was 10.95. As a refund to be used with them. Ha Ha…

Papa Ray’s is my new favorite neighborhood pizzeria. Here’s why you should try them too: — One of the few places that can do a nice thin crust pizza. — They know how to deliver fries properly! The portion could be a little bigger, but they are always crispy and hot. Kudos! — They always deliver in under 45 minutes
