First timer with a coupon. 5 off of 25. Cashier very unenthusiastic and asked if we wanted mushrooms or onions on our steak and failed to tell us it was additional for that. Total came out to 26 with the coupon and we definitely overpaid. Chicken tenders were dry and baked potato plain. Steak was dry and tough to eat. Soup tasted like it came straight from a can. In addition the interior of this place looks sketch and filthy. Our waitress was very nice, which is why I’m giving this place 1 star to begin with. Won’t be back ever again, though.

It’s always a hit or miss when ordering from the menu, most notably the steaks. I usually get the 14 oz ribeye. For $ 18, it can either be cheap or expensive depending on what you get. I’ve gotten steaks that would rival the more expensive steakhouses like The Outback or even a Ruth Criss. When it’s on, it’s tender with the right amount of char and it’s cooked to perfection. Other times, it’s just okay and what you’d expect from a Sizzlers. Once in a while, you’ll get that dud of a steak that is just horrible in every way possible. What is consistent is their salad bar and soup. The clam chowder is always good. For the money, it’s not a bad place to go when you’re craving a steak. The service is always outstanding although the cashiers should find a better system to speed things up. You have one person that rings you up then they have to get the drinks and salads. It always backs up the line as it continues to grow.

The carpet is dirty and the utensils are dirty! I would never eat here again. The food is lousy and it’s a lawsuit waiting to happen. Someone is going to die from this filthy place. Please beware the salad bar is no good, stale and rotten products. Spend your money else where. They are really, really, really need a good damn makeover the place is a mess.

The rating is mainly for service. I came with my 17(who ate pizza before coming) my 8 yo and my 3yo. The 3 yo had some pizza but I still wanted him to nib a little. However, for the 3 yo it was 6.79 for a buffet(he will not eat more than a handfull.)! My 8 yo wanted ribs and I asked whether he can have buffet and they wanted to charge 5.99(adult add on price). Had to talk to a manager to get it down to 2.99(kids price). When restaurants start charging left and right you really question whether you should even be there. My server was really nice… and the food was ok!

I ate dinner here tonight . I ordered the salad bar and I got a cup of water I grabbed my plate and headed over to the salad bar and made my self a salad it was really good . Next I went back for soup: I choose the tomato however it was too salty for my taste so I didn’t eat my cup. I went back again and got the macaroni … Again a fail it tasted not creamy and lacked flavor. i noticed however when i was getting my Mac and cheese, when they brought out the chicken tenders they disappeared within minutes(I guess that’s the go to item to get here) So at this point I was still quite hungry but it seems I have exhausted all the main food tables so I ordered a baked potato. While waiting for this I went back to the salad bar and there were 2 fresh new salads and they were all right . Sometime around now the Waiter brought me my toast. Now it has been a while since I have eaten this but it is not at all what I remember. The bread was almost mushy and it had a strong flavor of sourdough(and I always prefer French) I are the whole thing … But just because I was hungry, not because it was good. Finally my potato came… Again another disappointment … Where are the green onions? That’s it? What no sour cream. It was a mess … Once again I ate it out of hunger not cause it was good … Just dry. The potato was very small served with a ball of butter placed on it and a small dish of sour cream served on the side . Now on to dessert. NoW I go to the dessert area and put everything they have on my plate, pudding, mouse, ambrosia, yogurt, fruit. They were all pretty good. They had these mini muddpies and they were supergood! I think they were peanut butter flavor. Lastly I go to the ice cream bar and make two: one in a cup with sauce and nuts and another one on a cone . So to sum up: get the items from the salad bar! Also the vanilla and chocolate pudding are awesome! you have to pick up a muddpie! Get the ice cream! Things I noticed: people really seemed to like the chicken there and also there was a party going on while I was there so this place is good for groups. Well there you have it, that’s my review for sizzlers … And yes I will go back there to eat again.

I’ve been here plenty of times, but this last time I think will be the last time as a lot of the stuff on the salad bar was dry and some rotting tomatoes. If you buy a plate for a few dollars more off the menu you would be more likely to enjoy you’re meal.

ok went there yesterday nov 22 a bunch of kids all over the place. kids helping themselves to the salad bar. they are going to have to upkeep on their salad bar. when we got to the salad bar there was only 2 soups and not a lot in either one. my husband didn’t get any and we were there maybe an hour. I think people aren’t paying for the salad bar saw a lady was putting chicken wings in a little boys ice cream cup. .ok people if you do not pay for a salad bar DONOTSTEALFOODFROMIT !

I love this place it’s peaceful, quiet, not crowed in the morning time, and got good seats plus love their food it’s delicious including their drinks. Service are great, they took our plates so we have room to put our other foods/drinks on the table thanks Sizzer you’re the best.

I’ve been to this Sizzler quite a few times, here are the pros and cons: pros: THESALADBAR — still one of the best deals out there… you get to stuff your self with a good variety of salad(the one with imitation crab is my fav), soup, fried chicken wings, nachos, tacos, fruit, ice cream, for just $ 9.99($ 11.99 on weekends) service — the servers would check on you often, bring you new plates plenty of parking plenty of seating… and woohoo if you get the booth seats flexibility — when you and your party can’t agree on one thing to eat, this place would be a good option con: Steaks — 90% of the time, your steak would be overcooked and hard clam chowder — too little clam, too many potatoes

Salad Bar is getting more expensive than before. My New York Strip was over cooked. I ordered medium ware but it was cooked medium well. However, services were always great and always see the same old faces.(Which I love to see same faces of staffs in businesses) Staffs always check with me if everything is alright.

Came here to enjoy a great dinner with my parents. Wanted to treat them to a good steak and a good night, but was all F’d up by our waiter JESSIE. My mom had a cup with a tea bag in it. What’s missing? Hot water. So we ask JESSIE to bring us some hot water. Forgets! I give him the benefit of the doubt and tell my mom he’s probably had a long night and just forgot. So I asked JESSIE the second time. He forgets again! At this point, my mom is furious! To calm her down, I get up and get my own hot water from the counter where I order food before sitting down. Lady says, «you can ask your waiter.» I say, «he forgot multiple times!» Another issue that occurred was that he forgot to give us clean plates for the salad bar. Asked him 3 times to give us new plates. He forgets all 3 times! And yet, I see him bringing clean plates to the tables near us! At this point, the nice dinner date became a disaster. Mom and dad are upset! I’m upset! Just about ready to «check» this guy! Mom calmed me down and told me to tell the manager. Told the manager and she wasn’t helpful at all. Tipped a $ 1 for all of his hard work. Hopefully nobody experiences this when they go to Sizzlers! Watch out for the homie JESSIE. He’s amazing!

The food was good(my steak was cooked to a perfect medium rare) but the service is terrible. Be aware of the waiter named JESSIE, he’s awful. We asked multiple times for an extra plate and hot water. That’s not that hard to remember two things!

We’ve been looking for a Sizzler in the East Bay for awhile(the one nearest us closed), so when we passed by, we had to stop in. Very glad we did. Ordered two orders of the Burgundy Mushroom Sirloin Tips, one well and one medium rare. They came out on skewers and were very tasty. Paired with the all you can eat salad bar, we were very satisfied with our choice. The burgers look really good though and we’ll probably get those the next time we’re here. Our server was Rola, and he was very nice and competent despite how busy and hectic the restaurant was.

Okay I have been here, so many times and it feels like it has gotten mah. What do I mean, well based on my recent check in here it has changed a lot and on father’s Day of all days. My parents ordered some dishes and their dishes weren’t that bad, though mine was not so great, what do I mean well let me tell you. First off, our very nice waiter greeted us and forgot to give us straws with our drinks he was attentive and nice, but when a waitress gave us our food my food was not so great what did I order? Well I ordered a 14 ounce ribeye steak, in a sense when you get a steak dinner you assume for your steak to be cooked the right way you asked and not chard. Well guess what I got, my steak was not cooked correctly and was overly chart in a way that it took away the taste of the delicious steak thanks to its bitter tones. I understand from my own experiences, that is very busy and packed yet to give good customer service an get more tips you need to get your dishes well executed. I love the customer service, but I did not like my food because that part of that service was sad. on Father’s Day I enjoyed it with my family, but was so bad I asked my mom if I could try theirs it was cooked well with the right amount of char. I’m glad after that so so dish that the macaroons that I bought for my dad along with ones that I bought for myself made me feel better about that so so dish. I hope that they improve and the next time that I ordered this that they try to best to send out the quality that certain customers world greatly enjoy other than that if I made any typos blame Siri. I hope to see some improvements, when I come back. If I had to rate this with all my experiences eating here, I would rate this a 3 ½ yet thanks to it having it’s nice customer service with all the waiters and waitresses I’ll give this a solid five

Okay we’re back. Whew reread my review 4 years ago and that was not a good one. But today came in had an good spirited cashier who was so sweet! Yay for coupons! But this Gellert Sizzler has been here for so long I have to give it more stars. They are changing things in the salad bar so I’m happy about that. Those famous chicken wings that everyone loves are still there so yay for keeping it!

Can’t believe I am giving sizzler a 4 star… Shocking But they have a mint kale salad that much better than its comps like fresh choice and sweet tomatoes for $ 11. Their salad buffet has protein like chicken wings(crispy… Pleased and surprised) Still don’t love their steaks even tho it’s choice do they claim. But heck it’s on par with Outback Steakhouse wrt taste and quality But I was given plates after plates by a sincerely lovely lady Cecelia… Who took care of clean plates and top shelf service. So 20%+ tip was right thing to do! Service and salad bar gave this 4 stars especially when compared with its chain rivals Pumpkin soup was also good too, low on cream

Confession: I really like Sizzler — I can’t decide if it’s the self serve soup, salad, and snack bar — the cheese bread(so simple but so good) or the fact it’s such a nostalgic experience. I mean, saying I like Sizzler as a San Franciscan is almost… just unbelievable. But I really do like it. This Sizzler has great service and everyone is friendly, and actually looks like they enjoy working there! I’m telling you, eating at Sizzler is like going back in time for me when my family would rush to the nearest Sizzler buffet after church on Sundays… you gotta beat the line! :D haha.

I don’t know why all the reviews are horrible but come on, for what it is it’s not bad at all. What do you expect? A 5 start restaurant experience and food? You have got to be kidding me. Anyways to the real review: first time here and came here for lunch. Got their tri tip steak which was very delicious(a bit on the peppery side but nothing a little bit of ranch can’t handle) and the veggies I got with it were pretty good too. Their chicken wings were surprisingly delicious as was their nachos. Their garlic bread was super delectable. Their calm chowder was okay but again this isn’t fishermans warf so I didn’t expect it to be spectacular. It’s a lot better than hometown buffet by miles but not as great as Golden Corral. I’ll be coming back
