I had never been to this establishment until my friend Emmanuel/Living Testimony mentioned he was performing tonight. My husband and I went and got a table by the wall so we could take in the surroundings. I absolutely fell in love with the«mom and pop» feel of this place! The prices were very fair, ballpark $ 10 for a sandwich and(small!) side. We ordered The Sinatra and a steak and cheese(I can’t remember the name) with egg rolls as an appetizer. Everything was delicious, aside from the coleslaw. I wouldn’t recommend that. Considering it was a side, I won’t dock them for it! Service would get a ¾*. Meals came out, no napkins or salt/pepper. I asked for a small stack for our table of 5 and we got 4 napkins. It still wasn’t a big enough deal to remove a star, as the place was getting pretty busy and the server was swamped. He remained level headed and polite, despite it being busy. Kudos to him. The cheesecake and granola are FANTASTIC! I would return!

Amazing food. Cool place, but long wait time fr food. Last time my family and I went it took 20 minutes to get our drinks and 50 minutes to get our food. The café was not crowded at all. Disappointing.

Pretty good place. Had some great sandwiches there. It’s kind of pricey but it’s a nice change from subway and Jersey mikes. You definitely get way more food. The bands I’ve heard are pretty good. I’ll definitely return !

Love the atmosphere, music and the people. I like reading the names of the sandwiches. The Sinatra, Zydeco, Ku Ku Kachu, fun names. I love looking at all of the record album covers on the wall. How many do you have??? A great place for live music.

Great food and atmosphere. Staff is extremely friendly. We have never got a sandwich we didn’t like. Crab soup is great, the Sinatra is even better. Highly recommend.

Dropped my daughter off at school and thought, «Belgian waffles sound good!» So off I drag hubby to this restaurant as I have seen other patron’s plates and remembered I need to come back and try them! Get inside, get my chai tea latte and order my waffles just to be told that some days they offer them and some days they don’t, and this is not one of those days they will be making waffles… wait, what!!! Then why is it on the menu? Oh, but every Saturday they offer them! Then why is it on the special board? Why not make them a special and not have them as a menu item? Because a menu item is something that you are suppose to offer daily! Because next time I think I want waffles, I will go someplace else. :( And my bacon is cold and greasy… Boo

Good food, great place to come for local live music. A little pricy for what you get though. I like the FreeBird(turkey sandwich with a honey glaze). Their hot chai teas and smoothies are good too! Service is fast, it’s an order-at-the-counter style place.

Can’t say enough positive about The Music Café! Delicious food, yummy drinks, attentive staff, cool vibe, and incredible musical talent… Even if I didn’t live fairly close, I’d drive here regularly to soak up the refreshing vibe :-)

I have always passed by this place driving through Damascus and never thought to try it. So glad I did! I went during an open mic night which was very fun. The café itself seems cozy and the décor goes along with the music theme. It was nice listening to different people jam out while I enjoyed my food and a beer. I had the Tennessee Waltz sandwich. Very tasty and well made. My only problem with it was the glaze they put on the pretzel bun. It made the sandwich very sticky and hard to handle, but otherwise the flavors and everything went together well. I am anxious to come back and try more of their delicious menu items!

I go to this restaurant all the time. It’s my favourite local place! The food is so good and is always made fresh. Amazing gourmet sandwiches, salads, soups, and desserts! The cakes and cupcakes are to die for. The employees are always so nice and polite, and I never have to wait longer than ten minutes for my food to be delivered to my table by one of the lovely employees. I’m always greeted with a smile. They also have live music almost every night. The bands on Fridays and Saturdays are so talented and high quality musicians who know what they are doing. Most bands there even have their own merchandise and clothing! Open mics on Thursdays are also so much fun! Everyone goes there just to have a good time. It really is an amazing place to be. I strongly recommend trying it out if you haven’t already. If you need suggestions for food, I love the Sinatra or the Sgt. Pepper sandwiches, although all their food is awesome. Their coffee is also amazing. The espresso is never bitter, and everything just tastes and looks so professional. I wish I could give 6 stars instead of 5! I’ve NEVER had a bad experience there, and I’ve been going multiple times a week for almost three years.

We ate on the patio, very pretty with water fall next to our table. Very good cream of crab soup and my date really enjoyed his chilli. The blueberry vingarette dressing on the house salad was yummy. I had a veggy burger that would definitely get again.

The best Cream of Crab I’ve had in a long time. Sandwiches are good(a little pricey) and they have some good beers on tap. Have a happy hour. Cool little place to come in and relax. Looks to make homemade desserts. Bands on the weekend I believe. If you haven’t been give it a shot. Really the only cool/hip place in Damascus.

This review is solely for the food. I have not yet been to this establishment, so I can’t give an in-depth review. The reason I couldn’t wait to review The Music Café until then is because when you find the very best of a certain dish, it must be shared with the world. My husband went and picked up dinner here last Saturday and brought it home. Their cream of crab soup is the best – the BEST – I have ever had. I regularly peruse the shores of eastern Maryland and I’ve had this dish in Vegas and at Ruth’s Chris. While there are delectable versions of it all over the nation, The Music Café has the golden recipe, in my opinion. As soon as I took the container out of the bag, I dipped my spoon into it and took my very first bite. It was Heaven. My husband quickly followed suit and our eyes were basically rolling into the back of our heads. We kind of forgot about our sandwiches at this point! I wouldn’t normally review a club sandwich, because we’ve all been there; we all know what it is and how it tastes and it should really only be reviewed if somebody screwed it up. But one thing that stood out about their club sandwich was a soft, marbled rye bread instead of your typical wheat or white. It paired so well with the evenly distributed layers of meat, LTB, cheese, and mayo that I’m waving its flag as well on this review. My husband said the Reuben was also outstanding. Next time, we’ll show up and grab a table outside and get the full experience. This little place in the middle of nowhere in Montgomery County has the cream of crab soup, though, guys. You’ve got to get it here. I’ve been craving it every day since Saturday.

Liked this place until I forgot my wallet and they wouldn’t serve me a beer. Oh, by the way, I’m 40. Really?

The place is cute. Not as cute or vintage looking as I expected but it is cute. There’s a stage so maybe they have some kind of music/performance day/night? Located right next to an animal hospital. i went on a Saturday morning around 9am. There were plenty of parking spots. There was only a group of 4 inside the store when I arrived there with a group of about 10. When I walked in, I smelt this funky woody smell. The smell really bothered me and my sister but nobody seemed to mind or notice it Seems like their specialty is sandwiches. My friends ordered different sandwiches and all enjoyed it. I ordered a breakfast flatbread(bacon, egg and cheese. but it seemed like there was sausage inside. SOWEIRD!) I think it is overpriced for the food they serve.

This place is worth the stop if your in town and a detour is definately warranted if your not. I was in town July 4th weekend and need a place I could hang all day with good food, wifi and dog friendly. The owners were great, their staff was amazing. I will be back next time I’m around for sure. I found the prices were perfect and the food delicious. The beer on draft simply stellar. This place should be in New Orleans!

Great place for Damascus that doesn’t have much of anything but the prices I think are a little high for an egg sandwich that is very plain. Coffee is good. Haven’t been here for the late night music yet but plan to in the near future.

Vanilla Lattes are delicious way better than Starbucks! Awesome breakfast for cheap!!! Including specialties like a Belgian waffle with strawberries! For only $ 5.50… and the«Can’t Touch This» breakfast sandwich is really really good… I will definitely be getting that on the go next time I am in town. I have to say the name of their oatmeal dish, «Oatmeal in the Sky with Diamonds», made me laugh the most when I read it on the menu… I love the play on words for their sandwiches! I grew up in Damascus, and I wish this place was around when I was in High School, it is nice to have a fresh and delicious mom and pop shop in town. Our other options are McDonalds or Burger King and Tom and Ray’s… but this place definitely takes the cake. Oh and they have outdoor seating now too! And beer and wine too! OMG Damascus is changing so much! We have alcohol now?! This is probably the town«bar» at night hahahaha. Lastly, I want to shout out to my friend Kyle Sefcik, MMA fighter, DJ and promoter around town, he has a K-Sef smoothie on the menu that I noticed last time I was there, looked super healthy for all you health nuts and body builders!
