if you’re in the area, these are some of the best subs I’ve had. Recommend the Tony V or the meatball sub. I haven’t had any others yet.

Holy Cow! This was the best sub I’ve had in years. The first time I went to Maggi’s, I just did a Unilocal search for a sub after a long Saturday at my PT job. I figured I’d give the place a try because they weren’t far from my home and the reviews were solid. The place is VERY small, but who needs a super big restaurant to grab a sandwich? When I got home and unwrapped my Tony V, I was amazed at the sheer size of it. The bread was fresh, crispy on the outside and soft in the middle. Perfect. The carnivore in me could have used a bit more meat(and cheese), but the flavors fused perfectly and I devoured the sandwich. It was a hot long day and this sandwich was the perfect choice. I’ve since gone back to Maggi’s a second time on a Saturday evening. I tried to call my order in ahead, but no one answered the phone. When I got in the door, I was told that i’d have to wait 45 minutes for a walk-in order. After I questioned the reason for the 45 minutes, the girl said the were always busy on Saturday evenings but she did ask the kitchen if they could slide my order in… GREAT…YES! A short 10 minute wait and I had my sandwich in hand. Same sandwich, same consistent taste, just plain good. The owner came out of the kitchen and offered all the waiting customers a slice of pizza. Yes, please! It’s quite a busy place on the weekends and a bit pricier than you’d expect for a sub, but you get what you pay for. Call ahead so you don’t have to wait. Like I mentioned above, it’s a VERY small place and gets VERY hot in there.

Food is generally quite good but accuracy is lacking ever since they seem to have gotten their footing as a changed business. On my most recent order, they made a sub with the same name as the specialty pizza. Worse than the error was that there was no apology and no offer to even make the pizza. All I got was a «were you the one who called?» Once upon a time, small businesses were known for service. Not anymore. At least in Damascus anyway.

The pizza is absolutely delicious. A little on the pricier side of carry out pizza but definitely worth the extra money.

So far I have no complaints. I have ordered subs and pizza and enjoyed them both. My husband who is a picky pizza eater even enjoyed it.

Great choice regardless of what you order! Love the subs, and pizza. Always a quality selection of meats, cheeses, and salads. It’s a must try in Damascus.

Maggie’s is really good. Their deli meats are freshly cut. The subs are one of the best. They also make pizza and soup. They are one of the best sub shops around.

As a Jersey girl, I love pizza. And I long ago gave up on eating any real pizza in Maryland. That said, Maggi’s is the most delicious, satisfying pizza in the area. It quells my cravings, and the desserts aren’t bad either. The staff is always welcoming and friendly. Thanks Maggi’s!

I have updated this review and now given 5STARSDUETODELIVERY!!! Also, one of the COOLEST delivery guys left Dom… os Pizza to work here! THATISAWESOME!!! This is WAYBETTERPIZZATHANLEDO’S — let me put that out there. Ledo’s is good, but Maggi’s has the sweeter sauce flavor my wife and I like. The finished pizza has far less grease and oil dripping from it as well, so the pizza box and your counter top aren’t covered in soggy pizza box oil. Service was wonderful, and friendly. No delivery but I can deal with driving to the pizzeria/deli to get my food. My wife ordered garlic breadsticks which she said were REALLY good. I also ordered the wings, BUFFALOSAUCE, and found them to be very large wings with a flavor that’s average — not very saucy either. I like my wings smothered in sauce, just my opinion. Will we go back? You bet! We’re actually stopping on our way home after getting groceries. I highly recommend giving Maggi’s a try — I feel they are the best of the pizzerias in Damascus. They operate during fairly normal hours as well — they are not a late night eatery — 7⁄11 is right across the street. Got the bbq pizza and it was almost finished before I got home. Enough said. Will be coming back here often. So glad we found this place. The crust is delicious.

I’ve been frequenting Maggi’s(formerly Pasquales) for about a year. I am a huge fan of the pizza, the Tony V sub and The California Club(on toasted ciabatta) is off the charts! The counter clerk I always seem to get is a youngish man and super nice. He’s always positive and friendly. The older gentleman in the back is funny and nice to me. I’ve never had an issue with anyone there of any kind, neither service nor attitude. The only time a call-in order was not ready when I arrived was a time when I was placing an order about an hour ahead and told them that I would pick up sometime around an hour later. The nice young clerk suggested that since I couldn’t give an exact time when I would pick up, it might be better to order there so my sandwich wouldn’t get soggy. Turns out, I didn’t get to pick up for about an hour and a half later so he was smart in his suggestion. I buy Boar’s Head ham by the pound there every week or so. We love the quality of the meats and the bread. It is a bit pricey but they are using high-quality ingredients and the sandwiches are so large, I generally get two meals out of one sandwich. A really nice place.

Ate here twice. Their operation hours are whack. The service and quality is inconsistent. This place thrives on the Damascus market because there isn’t anywhere else to eat… I’ve eaten it a few times. Didn’t love the prices. Every time I say to myself I’ll give it another try the sign on the wall says they are closed…

I have been torn about writing this review and hope that our recent experience was the result of an off day. My husband called in our order for pick up, some of our usual favorites. When I arrived, apparently our order was deleted and not ready — even though one of our two sandwiches(tuna salad) was sitting on the counter. I had to wait around 15 — 20 minutes for them to pull together the rest of the order. When I got home, we were surprised to see that our usual stuffed sandwiches were replaced with much skimpier versions and the tuna salad was missing tomatoes and lettuce. For the price you pay for their sandwiches($ 8 – 9), it was worth it for what you received, a good portion of high quality product but not so much on this day. In addition, the tortellini pasta salad was not as good as other pasta salads we have had here. Pizza still tasty as ever. Again, I hope it was an off day. The gentleman working in the back seemed to be grumpy and did offer an apology in the delay of our order. So we will try again someday. Still give Pasquale’s a 4 rating based on good pizza and past excellent service and food.

Pizza, 10 out of 10. SUBS10 out of 10. Need delivery service in Damascus. That would make it even better ! Thanks for the great quality food and service ! Boars head products. They make everything fresh and there’s no better local pizza. Go further into Germantown or Mt. Airy still no better pizza or subs !

Hey. This place is great. A breath of fresh air to a town that has had little culinary change over 15 years. Its an Italian carryout. I’ve had the pizza, subs, and calzones. They are all great with fresh ingredients and taste great. The subs have boars head meat with those hard to pronounce Italian deli meats that taste awesome and will kick the living shit out of any Subway sub. There is an interesting/delicious group of specialty pizzas. I like this place. If you are in or around Damascus and want some Italian take out go here. When will they make a sit down restaurant? Now that alcohol is allowed in Damascus, hopefully soon.
