Convenient location, but the worse pharmacy staff. They are always overwhelmed, never pleasant or helpful and have been down right rude. With so many pharmacies in the area, I take my business elsewhere now, but will still shop in the store if I’m near this part of town. The checkers have always been nice.

Cashiers in front are super helpful and friendly. The pharmacy staff is the exact opposite. They are unhelpful, unfriendly, and slow. Apparently customer service isn’t a priority. I’ve never seen people move sooooo slow and when there is a line, they seem to slow down even more.

The tall guy and short stubby guy in the pharmacy are extremely depressing, and unfriendly. They will make you wait for 5 – 10 minutes without even acknowledging you… Even if you say hello. Even when my prescriptions are on auto fill and I call them a week prior to remind them to order it if they don’t have it. Still they failed to have my medication on time and made me wait 2 days and that was just this last time. I can go on and on about how they have failed to do a decent job and I’ve had to have withdrawals because of their poor and uncaring work. I highly recommend you stay away from this place… It’ll probably ruin your day just being in such a depressing place, and having to deal with depressing people.

My son and I decided to stop by after spending the afternoon at the beach to get an ice cream cone. When we walked in, I approached the counter and I told the guy we were there for ice cream. The look on his face was clearly showing me he was annoyed he had to leave his place at the counter to help us. Mind you there was no one in line to make a purchase. He then, very unenthusiastically, walked over to the ice cream counter. He didn’t say a word, he just stared at me blankly and waited for me to tell him what I wanted. By the time I was done getting my ice cream there were a few other people who wanted ice cream as well. So I walked over to the front register and the lady acted as though I was inconveniencing her because she had to ring up my ice cream. The staff there were not very friendly and it wasn’t a very welcoming experience.

While incredibly convenient, this store is poorly managed with several friendly, yet seemingly incompetent employees. I’ve had so many problems with their cash register scanners double ringing my purchases. They always blame it on the system. The pharmacy manager and techs are completely clueless. The last straw was today when it took the front cashier multiple attempts to just ring up my order. It ended up being charged and credited back to my bank 4 times which prompted my bank to issue a fraud alert on my debit card so that I can no longer use it. There was all this confusion about switching from the wellness card to a new card. NOTMYPROBLEM! Again, manager On duty, Julie, was dismissive and rude and unable to comprehend the inconvenience they created for me by their inability to ring up a simple transaction. I’ll happily drive a little further to CVS from now on. Clearly they just keep getting worse.

We’ve dropped by here a couple of times. My wife and I have gone to Dana Point a couple of times within the last year. Both times, we have stopped here for some snacks for the little hikes that we do along the trails here. The location is very convenient along Highway 1, and they even have a clean restroom. I have no complaints, and for sure we will be back.

Boy, oh, boy! Really do not comprehend the review by Kelly. I LOVE the staff there. They really take a personal interest. Maybe Kelly happened to be in on a day when they had a pharmacist from other store filling in. Please, give them another try. Jaten is the warmest, kindest person ever. Along with Jaten are Coh(since moved to another store), Steve, two Lindas. I hope I’m not leaving out any others in that department. The rest of the store also has some great and friendly people, such as Marina and Vicki and some newer young staff members whose names escape me at the moment. So sorry that a couple of people had negative experiences. All I can say is give them another chance! And, as for the rat — well, this close to so many palm trees(rats’ favorite abodes), I am not surprised. I’ve seen a rat or two in some upscale dining establishments. If you live locally, Machi, you just might see one in your own home, garage or yard someday. It is really no reflection on the store.

Is being a pharmacist one of the worst jobs in the world? I think it must be because these folks seem to hate their job! They *were* helpful in finding a discount plan to save me some money(Thank You). However, don’t go in here if you’re depressed — you might never make it out alive.
