Came here for my fiancé bday brunch with her family. Really impressed with the curb appeal and overall look and feel of the inside. Service was great and the food was very impressive with the charcoal/smoke flavor of the meats. I had the breakfast burger Wow great flavor and very filling. The only I would recommend is have more options for different cheeses; I love Gouda on most products but hey probably customers taste. My fiancé had the French dip and she loved it :) happy with this place and will recommend to family and friends.

The food was good but if you want to go to a nice relaxing dining experience this is not it. It was full but I expected that on a Saturday night. It was so loud in the dining room we asked to be moved once which they did but it was still to noisy to have a comfortable conversation. The food was really good but I was looking forward to both a relaxing dinner and good food.

Salt Creek is a cut above the rest for sure. An American Grille with many new twists on some comfort foods. A little upscale so you can’t overdress for this Resturant. Grilled Ceaser Salad was unique and a recommendation. All the flatbreads are like nothing I’ve ever had before. ANDGUESSWHAT, AS A UnilocalERWHENYOUCHECKIN, ONEISFREE. I look forward to visiting again.

It is a good restaurant. Our host was too friendly. I ordered a new york steak. It was delicious. But it was too simple and expensive. Sides of my steak were too simple and nothing special. Food variety is small. And alsi it is not $$.it is $$$ restaurant

I had a 9pm reservation in hopes for a little intimacy and it was just right. You could feel secure in your choice if it’s a first date. Valet(paid for by tip only) was not suspicious and clean. The food menu is completely adequate with decent price point wine by the glass or bottles. The bottle selection is plentiful and fair-ish in value. The market fish was halibut, it was as promised; eaten in entirety. A well rounded and intimate setting. My server could have been a bit more«connecting,» as I felt a gap in our exchange on a personal level but the task and delivery were executed efficiently without demerit. I’d come back and I’d recommend this place to a friend.

My cousin and I were staying at the Ritz Carlton across the street and wanted something outside the hotel food. Not that the food at the Ritz wasn’t good, but we wanted to get out. We decided to come to Salt Creek. I had been to the salt creek in redondo beach, so this isn’t my first time experiencing the Chain. Upon out arrival we were greeted promptly and seated immediately. The server was very friendly and knowledgable about the menu, and made some recommendations that were spot on. The food was delicious and fresh. The food and service was excellent, and I’ll definitely come back if I’m in the area. Will highly recommend it to my friends and family.

We came here for brunch. I was expecting it to be crowded because we tried to come for dinner a week ago and it was PACKED(we left). It was dead for brunch. Still, for some reason, the service was really slow. We didn’t really mind because we were all talking, but it was noticeably slow. The food was definitely worth the wait. I got the chef’s scramble(without meat, add cheddar and avocado), with the most delicious breakfast potatoes. I will come back for those damn potatoes, I swear. Their menu is very meat-heavy, but they make everything from scratch, so they can alter things for vegetarians. I was more impressed than I thought I would be. I will be back… for the potatoes.

This was our first time dining at salt creek grille, and it won’t be our last. The food, ambience, and service were all outstanding. The restaurant itself is upscale but cozy, as we walked up there were a number of people enjoying themselves by the fire-pit with a cocktail, I thought this is definitely my kind of place. We started with the BBQ chicken flatbread, it was delicious and crisp and the perfect appetizer size. Our server Ali, was very helpful with our entrée selections. We decided on the creek burger and porkchop. The creek burger was juicy and delicious, a little messy but that makes for a great burger. The truffle fries were sensational, crisp and fried to perfection. Now on to the porkchop, melt in your mouth tender. The veggies that came with it were just average but I would order it again in a heartbeat. Overall we had a great first experience. Ali was extremely attentive and made our meal perfect. I definitely suggest you give this restaurant a shot!

My wife and I had the grilled Caesar salad and the coffee encrusted New York steak. Food = 4 The steaks were mesquite grilled delicious. We asked for medium rare and that’s what we got. After the initial bites we said, «We’ve have got to copy this caramel glaze.» The Point Reyes blue cheese was such a pleasantly surprising contrast to the sweetness of the glaze. Good sized portions. (Presentation on the plate was a minus one) Service = 5 Server knew the menu and checked on us several times as well as getting us another round at just the right time. Ambiance = 3 It is a grill and the atmosphere is casual. Valet parking Price = 3 $ 36 steaks Value =4 We have paid much more for far less at nearby restaurants. We left happy and glad we discovered this establishment.

Came here for brunch on a whim and were definitely not disappointed! Our server, Conner, was awesome! Super knowledgeable about the menu, gave excellent recommendations, and provided us with phenomenal service! I got the BBQ chicken salad and my boyfriend got the blues burger, both were excellent. Their Bloody Mary is one of the best I’ve ever had and the bottomless mimosas are a steal at $ 9 a pop. Even the free bread was clearly not a throwaway item, it was clearly fresh baked and well seasoned. Unfortunately we don’t live in the area but we will definitely be making the 45min-1hr drive to come back to this place again!

Came here for lunch on a weekend. There wasn’t a wait and the restaurant was spacious. They have a cute outdoor patio with a fire pit, but since we were here during the day, the fire pit didn’t seem necessary. The food was very reasonably priced, especially for the portions, and we were quite happy with the food! Even though we were there for lunch, our server told us that we could still get the free flatbread with the Unilocal check-in. I really appreciated her making that exception! We ordered the bacon and goat cheese flatbread. It was pretty damn good! Thin crust, plenty of bacon and cheese! For the entrees, we ordered the blue cheese burger, the breakfast pizza, and the fish tacos. The fish tacos were grilled, and seemed fresh. The cheese burger was cooked well(we ordered medium rare and it showed up exactly that). The patty was tender. However, my favorite was probably the breakfast pizza. Carbs(breakfast potatoes) on carbs(pizza crust) + protein(runny eggs and bacon) — can’t go wrong with that! We also had plenty of food to take home!

I think I’ve given up in the Laguna Niguel area. Place was all right, but the prices are waaay high for the quality and lack of attention to details. My hangar steak and frites was $ 27, and the beau’s french dip was $ 16. The bread they give you has straight up uncooked garlic and butter so it blew out my palette. Ok, good start. The flatbread was delicious and free with Unilocal check-in, though it got waaay salty from the overload of bacon. Hangar steak was tiny and not cooked that well, bearnaise didn’t taste great, and the same uncooked garlic overload nonsense on top of the fries. Beau liked the french dip but didn’t really rave. It would’ve been 4 stars but seriously it felt overpriced. Complimentary valet or literally save yourself $ 10 and walk 10 steps to park yourself. Cozy Starbuck’s close by for post dinner coffee.

Had Sunday brunch here and it was delicious! Check in on Unilocal to get a free Flatbread(good for 2 to 3 people). Ordered the BBQ chicken Flatbread and it was like a mini pizza. Their specialities are anything mesquite due to the grill they use. Thus, the mesquite bbq ribs were fall off the bone tender and had a nice smokey flavor. Also comes with a side of garlic fries which weren’t oily at all. The lobster bisque was creamy and had chunks of lobster! It was small for its $ 10 price, but really it was so good I wanted more haha! The Beignets were sweet and good dessert along with the dipping sauce :)! We also ordered the fish tacos and chef scramble as well which were equally delicious. Overall, great service and food! On the pricey side but it’s worth it.

Looking for someplace new to try in Dana Point and the Salt Creek Grille seemed to have one of the best Unilocal ratings, so a colleague and I headed over. They were busy(I think there was a large party out on the patio — some group that, coincidentally, is staying/meeting at the same hotel we’re staying at). We got seated immediately, and our server, Cierra, came over and introduced herself. Cierra was dynamite — great service, great personality, great recommendations! Started with the stuffed shrimp appetizer — bacon wrapped shrimp, stuffed with horseradish, with a honey chipotle glaze sauce —(Cierra’s recommendation) — wow! They were really tasty. Got the seafood chowder(meh — add salt and pepper and that helped). Once again, on Cierra’s recommendation, ordered the Coffee crusted New York Steak — it came with a ‘scoop’ of blue cheese, and a bourbon caramel sauce — really nice steak. Finished off with the flourless chocolate cake — this is one of my wife’s specialties, and Salt Creek’s doesn’t hold a candle to her’s, but the scoop of dark chocolate ice cream and chocolate chips served with it were a really nice touch. All in all, a great dinner, and stellar service(the rest of the team was also top notch and all over it, the whole evening, but Cierra was the star — really enjoyed our interactions/joking with her, and she gave solid recommendations and made sure we were having a great time every few minutes). Very happy to give this one a 5 star review(but skip the seafood chowder)

Went for dinner. Was not very crowded. I ordered the lobster bisque. It was pretty average tasting. I also got the stroganoff. This did not have much flavor and was pretty bland. My friend ordered the grille chop, this had good flavor and was a good sized portion. The service left something to be desired. Our waiter Cullen disappeared for a while, as we sat and waited to get boxes for our food, and get the check. We had to get boxes from another worker. The guy at the next booth had the same problem with Cullen, he kept getting up and searching around the room for him. I told him having the some bad service huh? He said yes, and that his check also had errors on it. So I dont know why this happened. But it did not sit well with me. Im in no rush to go back to this place.

We had dinner here and it was excellent. The seabass was perfectly cooked as was the pork chop. The pork chop is HUGE! It was so big that we took half home to have for lunch the next day. Both entrees came with mashed potatoes and veggies which were yummy, fresh, and full of flavor. We ordered the lobster bisque as an appetizer and also had a check in deal from Unilocal for a free flatbread — yay for Unilocal coupons! We tried the Creek flatbread with pesto. It was good, but I’d say it was probably the least favorite of everything we had because everything else was so good. It’s quite big though, so we took half of it half home as well. The bisque was creamy and had big chunks of lobster in it! Drinks were excellent. They have some really good martinis and mixed drinks. The black cherry martini I had was really good and not too sweet at all, which I was very happy about since I don’t like super sweet drinks. They have a really nice outdoor area as well. We definitely plan on coming in for happy hour sometime and checking out some other things on the menu. Complimentary valet parking is awesome — just bring cash for a tip!

Came here on a Saturday night, makes reservations very busy, very lively. Appetizers potato chips with onion dip excellent chips were seasoned with salt and malt vinegar. Delicious! Soup chicken tortilla soup, fresh hot plentiful, a little too heavy on the cumin or jalapeños made us cough. Drink, cherry lemon drop martini, sweet and delicious a little pricey but worth it. Entrees: sirloin stroganoff was out of this world, one of the best dishes of stroganoff I had ever had. Short rib burger was amazing very moist full of flavor with bacon jam, caramelized onions; Parmesan garlic fries were delicious even though they were shoestrings. Very good meal and great ambience seems like we shall be back soon!

I have always enjoyed coming to Salt Creek Grille. It’s a warm, cozy, and inviting restaurant, particularly this location since it’s right off PCH. Yes, it may be a chain, but you forget that it is once you’re there. The menu is simple and focuses on contemporary cuisine. There is something for everyone, but the menu isn’t overwhelming either. Some of my favorite dishes are: beef dip sandwich & garlic fries bleu cheese burger the rack of ribs — this is a huge portion! Sauce is a little sweeter than what I like, but it’s still great ribs Great wine list, but the mark up prices on wines by the glass is ridiculous. You’re better off buying a bottle(as is always the case in any restaurant but seriously, the cheapest glass of wine here is like $ 15!). Actually, the martinis here have always been fun… the one cocktail I tried here most recently was the Cinnamon Toast Crunch martini — if you’re a fan of the Mexican drink horchata, you will like this drink because it tasted exactly like that! Service has always been impeccable at this location(and the El Segundo location). There is complimentary valet, as well.

Came here for dinner on a weekday and got a table without reservation. This place is literally located on the corner of an intersection where you typically would see cheap eats, but this place trumps any cheap eateries you’d typical drive thru. The outside scenery is beautiful and there are heat lamps for those who get chilly easily. like myself :) However, decided to sit inside, which definitely needs some remodeling as it felt like I was eating at Disneyland’s Big Thunder Mountain — all wood so it def. fits the whole cabin theme they have going on, but even cabins can have a little shizazz to them. Anyways, the food that was order was calamari for the appetizer, peppered ahi burger and ribs with garlic parmesan fries. The calamari was good, wish that it was a thicker cut as the breading ratio to squid was off. squid was basically like paper thin. The ahi burger came had avocado, which just made it 10000X better and a nice side salad. I mainly just ate the candied walnuts — yum! The star of this visit as definitely the baby back ribs and fries. It’s true, the ribs slide right off the bone and the fries had just enough seasoning. Our waitress was a little slow, but I’m assuming she had many tables to herself. Great place for a cozy date — but stick to the outside dining area.

It had been a while since I’d been here, but the Mrs. was craving a good burger and fries, both of which I remember SCG doing well. I again confirmed that to be the case because although I had the Wedge Salad with Salmon, there’s always a «Dad Tax,» meaning– I want a bite. I also sampled one of my daughter’s wood-grilled ribs(see pic), which were tasty but could’ve been a little meatier so the sweet glaze didn’t overpower it. The Wedge wasn’t bad on its own since they’re generous with the freshly chopped bacon(@JimGaffigan,“which turns it into a game of find the bacon in the lettuce”), but the 5oz of tender Salmon moved it into the category of light meal. We capped it off with the Apple Pie Ala Mode, which absolutely rocked. It’s actually a fully enclosed flaky square stuffed with thinly sliced saucy green apples and a scoop of Vanilla Bean Ice Cream. They may have overdone the amount of apples inside(especially of the green variety) so I stuck to the doughey corners. The service was good, the booths big, and the fare more than fair so we’ll be back again someday.
