Cute little place, right on the Harbor. Great views. Nice breeze. And, great ice cream flavors with lots of room to sit and enjoy the expereice.

This place was a little confusing to find as it is connected to a coffee shop. We came in and there were so many flavors to choose from! I absolutely love ice cream, especially for dessert so having options is always a plus. The staff that was working was helpful. I tried 3 different samples and ended up getting cookie dough. I thought it was good, but not the greatest. It was creamy and really rich, but I just didn’t get that cookie dough flavor that everybody loves. 3 stars for the decent ice cream and patient customer service!

The ice cream here is so good and I love some of the flavors they come up with. The Cookie Monster is really good and will give you a blue tongue lol.

I love scoop deck! They have many flavors of ice cream, and although it is pricey, they give you a generous scoop. What I really like about this place is that they will let you split your single scoop into two flavors. This is awesome and is one of the reasons I keep coming back here. They are also attached to a coffee shop(Coffee Importers), so parents you can take the kids for ice cream and enjoy your coffee by the harbor. The ambiance is great and it is relaxing to sit outside on the patio, or walk the harbor. Also a cute date spot!

I’ve been going to this place for years. The other day, 4 of us decided to have a small bible study down on their patio. I went in for some ice cream and asked for a scoop of mint chip with cookies and cream. Buyer beware … Apparently now they CHARGE you a «split fee» to split the scoops of ice cream in 2 flavors? Seems like the owner has become really greedy. Well they can have my $ 5.50 for a split scoop but I’ll never be back for that kind of ripoff. Seems like they’d stay ahead by not ripping off their customer and maintaining a long-standing client base with reasonable prices, but who am I?

The location is good. The ice cream is good. However, I paid $ 8.53 for two very small cups of ice cream. The cup fits one scoop from an average scoop. I just felt taken advantage when I left. The cost doesn’t fit the experience.

They serve Lappert’s ice cream which I love, especially their fruit based flavors, perfect for a hot day on the beach. Service was nice and they have a great selection and nice portions at a fair price. Location is great and my husband, son and I all enjoyed our ice cream, great stop while in the area!

Wanted some refreshing ice cream after hot day at beach. I wouldn’t say this is ‘fresh’ ice cream but pretty good for my east coast standards. Ordered medium cup with two different scoops for $ 3.85 which was cheap compared to other places that charge you $ 5 for single cup. Rum raisin was on pointe. Pistachio, not so much. The fact it had pistachios in it made it technically ‘pistachio’ IC but the ice cream part not even close. Overall good option for ice cream especially when you can enjoy right outside overlooking the marina. Staff friendly and polite and efficient. Would recommend.

This is our new favorite place to have a treat and watch the boats. The rainbow sherbet was very tropical and refreshing. My husband liked his banana peanut butter ice cream as well. Hidden gem in Dana Point.

JACKPOT!!! We LOVE Lapperts ice cream and have dreamt about it since we visited Hawaii and on the last day of our SoCal vacation we Unilocaled up some ice cream and went into this ocean front ice cream shop and BAM all our wildest dreams came true! If you haven’t tried Lapperts brand ice cream then prepare yourself to fall in love! My husband LoVES their banana fudge flavored and I love their coconut pineapple vanilla and their Kauai Pie! Run don’t walk to this place ice cream connoisseurs!

This ice cream was so good! 4 of us each got different flavors and we all loved them. The only reason I don’t give it 5 stars is because it was tricky to find. There’s no sign with the name of the shop! Why wouldn’t you have a sign? We walked around the marina looking for it and passed it about 3 times before realizing where it was. But I’m glad we found it!

Very good ice cream shop which in addition to other brands serves Lappert’s ice cream which is extremely delicious. My favorite flavor is the pink peppermint. The location and view from the outside seating is really fantastic.

I have many fond childhood memories coming here. It was a pleasant trip to come back after all these years. Since it was a bit cold we had some tea and a brownie. The seating area was inviting and decorated for the holidays. The staff was nice and friendly. It’s a family owned ice cream & coffee shop which allows it to have a comfortable ambiance. If you are expecting a trendy high end coffee spot this isnt the fit for you. Perfect for something low key and simple :) looking forward to coming back here:)

Got the kuaui pie and the rum raisin! A little bit pricey. Nothing memorable unfortunately. Trying to find the best ice cream shop in town… this wasn’t it.

THEHEATHMOCHA! So good… Actually, so DELICIOUS! After I stuffed my face with El Torito, I decided that a milkshake like blended coffee was a great idea… My friend and I ordered the HBM and it was just so much better than I was expecting. It was more of a milkshake like base, not icy like a smoothie. The staff could have been a little nicer honestly– I got up and had a question because none of their drinks show ingredients, so I asked if the Chocochino had chocolate ice cream in it, and the tattooed gentleman scoffed like«Ha, uh no of course not, none of our coffee drinks have ice cream, unless you order the special of the month» which was some mint shake or whatever. Okay, my bad! I know a lot of people are commenting on the ice cream, that it’s only Dreyers. I personally LOVE Dreyers, but that’s me. I think it’s worth coming to get a scoop or coffee and walking around the harbor! There was a group of people in their sitting couch area on their laptops, so I imagine they have wifi!

cute little ice cream joint right off Dana Point. It was nice spending the week before Christmas out there. We rode our motorcycles down highway 1 and swung through Dana Point for a pit stop. My gf and I shared a banana split and a couple of lattes on the waterfront patio as kids dressed up as carolers sang holiday songs. The cool calm night, combined with the ambiance of children singing and people talking as Christmas lights light up the walk way and a few of the boats in the marina made it a perfect evening. Though the banana split was nothing to rave about nor was coffee itself but it was a cute romantic spot.

My boyfriend and I visited the harbor for the first time yesterday and were excited when we saw tons of people walking around with ice cream cones in hand. We Unilocaled it up and found this place nearby. I was really letdown when I discovered nearly all of the flavors were Dryers. If I wanted Dryers ice cream, I would have gone to the grocery store down the street to purchase a carton for the same price as one scoop at Scoop Deck. My boyfriend and I ended up getting ice cream for the heck of it, but there was really nothing special about it. I thought it would be homemade/gourmet ice cream, but I guess not… Probably won’t be returning back in the future.

Overrated Pros: Local go to spot for ice cream with a nice view Cons: Generic ice cream I thought the soft serve was terrible Ran out of stock on fruits and hot fudge when I was there

A little confusion b/c it is tucked in between two buildings, and there is 2 different venues. One side sells the sandwiches etc and the other is coffee and ice cream. I wouldn’t say that the works were overly friendly but the ice cream was tasty and you can’t beat the view over the marina. The coffee smelled intoxicating and the baked goods looked like they were meant to be devoured! Hopefully we can return!
