Planned Parenthood

There is a woman who has worked at this location for a number of years, and should have been fired her first day on the job. My daughter went to this branch in 2010 at age 17 for birth control pills. She was shamed by this intake worker, told that she should be abstaining from sex, and that it is «wrong» for girls her age to engage in sexual activity. ARE YOU KIDDING ME??? This type of preaching, judgmental rhetoric goes against everything, EVERYTHING, that PP is supposed to represent. Non judgmental, confidential, and safe access to birth control, options counseling, and abortion.
Fast forward to 2015, my daughter tells me that a close friend had an unplanned pregnancy, went to the Danbury PP branch to talk about scheduling a termination, and who sits down with her? THE SAME DREADFUL EXCUSE FOR A COUNSELOR! Why is this woman still employed by this organization? She told this poor girl that her boyfriend was probably bullying her into terminating, and that she should only be considering adoption.
That this person was employed there espousing these notions and pushing her own personal agenda on girls and women is reprehensible. Shame on you Danbury Planned Parenthood.
