WooHoo is right! WonTon soup– to die for. Broth rich and NOT salty. Potstickers great and light(with salad would be a lunch). Sushi pizza made 7-year-old wiggle his feet with joy. Salmon with ginger and scallion was juicy and fresh. Warm sake was fresh as well. Veggies all crisp and sauces perfect. No flavor overpowered another. Also– wasabi was powerful and tangy here. Chocolate torte was superb– moist and dense, but not old or dry. Pounded rice with ice-cream was funky(in the best way) and mildly sweet. Everything beautiful and savory. Wait staff attentive, lovely, responsive. Why did we wait so long???

Best sushi on the north shore, arguably the best in Boston. If you like good sushi, do yourself a favor and give it a shot. You will not regret it.

Best Chinese restaurant I have been to in a very long time. The wait staff are friendly and attentive, the atmosphere is really relaxing and modern. I ordered the spring rolls and scallops with ginger green beans, my husband ordered edamame and chicken with cashews. Everything was fresh tasting and really delicious. I will return every week! I can’t wait to try other items on the menu!

Definitely not KFC! Was pleasantly surprised by the total redo to this once dead corner. The atmosphere is perfect, feels like you are in a Boston restaurant. The owner and sushi chef Evan is personable and modest. Evan has used his background working at «All Seasons Table» to totally transform this space into what it is today. Both he and his wife have left no stone overturned here, the atmosphere is ideal. Sushi is fresh, unique, and the best I’ve had north shore. The ambiance is inviting, the restaurant is clean, the music is good, lighting is great and the staff is exceptional. Best Tom Yum I’ve had, I’ll be back weekly.

By far, the best sushi and Chinese restaurant on the North Shore. Please don’t tell anyone, let’s keep it our secret!

Wow. Really? In Danvers??? It certainly doesn’t look like much from the outside and the odd location(it’s basically under the 128 onramp) made me a bit wary, but Unilocalers raved about it. Everything from the apps through to dessert was amazing and the servers are sweet as ginger green tea ice cream. So good.

Such a good place for a quick lunch! I got pad thai and it was really yummy! We checked in on Unilocal and received free crab chips appetizer with the check in — they were fantastic. Quick, friendly and efficient customer service with yummy yummy food. Can’t go wrong.

It felt like you were an invited VIP guest. Evan and Tina were so personable and visited your table throughout your meal. It felt sincere and full of gratitude. The lettuce wraps were a table favorite as was the last minute oyster plate. So tasty. In fact, Evan was making a trip to NY to shop around for the next best oyster. Boston, Rhode Island and CT are other places Blu Karma pick their oysters. Families are welcomed, dates are encouraged and even the sport enthusiasts are invited to enjoy their fresh, carefully prepared dishes.

We’ve been here twice now. Great sushi and duck! Just remember to check the specials sheet as we had to order extra sushi the first time :) They compare to Hale Street in Beverly for sushi quality and flavors. Love! Just remember there’s not much parking. But they do take outs too.

Best Asian fusion food! We were visiting from out of town and ordered a lot of dishes cause we can and they were all great! Service was smooth too no issues at all. Again never made it to dessert(going to have to work on that). Will have to come back in the future some time. Don’t let the exterior fool you! Nice set up inside.

For being a former KFC the owners did a nice job with the interior. Cool lighting and nice background music. Drinks were reasonably priced the sushi was fresh and ample devoured the volcano roll and black dragon roll nice presentation. Sampled pad thai, crispy duck and chicken with veggies in a garlic basil sauce. food was fresh, portions on the small side but very good overall.

This place is amazing. I’ve had sushi all over the world, even Tokyo and it doesn’t come any better. Really creative menu and the food is always delicious. My son’s favorite restaurant. We mainly eat the sushi but the cooked food is also great.

Love Blu Karma! The whole staff is truly so nice! The one time we didn’t get sushi, they were like«oh, no sushi tonight? «that’s how often we go. Sushi is always fresh and the entrees are great too! mango chicken and shrimp lo mein are favorites. It’s always busy when we go in, which is a great thing.

Stopped by here for lunch one day during a conference and so happy that we did! Unilocalers, check in and get their must-try crab chips for FREE. Huge portion and super tasty. Loved the crispy crunchy chip cups. See pic provided. For our lunches, we shared the salmon sashimi, makimono combo and the Dragon Eye. All the rolls were prepared very nicely and the sushi was very fresh but the Dragon Eye appetizer took home the prize. It was delicious and something that was prepared a little differently that you don’t find in other sushi restaurants and that’s what I love most when trying out new digs. Service was also friendly and expedient. We couldn’t have asked for more!

This new restaurant on the scene has it all! Fresh food, great service, and a fun ambience. Don’t be disguised by the exterior, which used to house a KFC many years ago… it may still have that look to it on the outside but once you step inside you will be greeted by fresh white tablecloths, funky blue lighting and modern touches. Even the music is a refreshing blend of old and new favorites, and definitely makes you feel more like you are in a nightclub than an asian restaurant! Blu Karma has a large menu offering many different types of Asian cuisine. From oysters(1 $ on Sundays!) to sushi, fresh dishes from the wok, and a variety of signature recipes, you will not leave disappointed. The prices are more than reasonable. They also tailor any dish to your liking(I prefer things on the spicier side, and they have delivered when I have asked!) It’s clear that the owners take a lot of pride in their restaurant. Here are the only negatives: Small parking lot(Although you can park across the street at Walgreens and make a mad dash across the busy street during busy times), somewhat small seating options(We were jam packed at what seemed like a table for four but was actually two table for 2’s and I couldn’t help but be part of a dinner discussion next door on a busy Saturday). Definitely try some of our favorites: Hunan Style Chicken from the wok, Beef Teriyaki appetizer(So tender and medium rare to perfection, unlike any I’ve ever had before, and a delicious marinade), House Fried Rice, and the mango chicken dish, which is unbelievable. We had avoided trying this place since the thai restaurant here before was so lackluster, but since our first time eating here, we have not been able to stay away. We also enjoy seeing Jimmy(waiter) who used to work at Mikado in Beverly. He is friendly and always greets us by name.

I’ve been meaning to wax poetic for months about Blu Karma and keep getting distracted every time I’m in by the amazing food. Plating is gorgeous– fish is incredibly fresh — and the taste combinations will make you’re taste buds dance. Tina and Evan are the best hosts and always make you feel welcome and like a long lost friend. Love this place and can’t wait for my next visit.

Decent sushi in a small town. Don’t go too lavish on the sashimi or the daily specials or you may cry a little when the bill comes. The parking lot is super tiny so beware. I came here after work on Thursday around 6pm. It seems to be at a random location for a restaurant but I’m from out of town so maybe it’s just me. The dining room was mostly empty but was almost full when I left. Some of the customers seem to be regulars so that’s a good sign. I have mixed feelings about the food. Some are excellent some are just meh. So let’s start with the good. I had the daily special aji sashimi. At $ 10 for 3 small pieces, this is slightly on the pricier side but it was delicious. The lobster maki was good. Because of its size, it was barely holding together. I also got the spring rolls which seemed like very generic spring rolls. They are very crispy, but that’s about it. The description said shitake mushrooms in the spring rolls but I didn’t see any(and I looked hard). For dessert, I ordered the mochis. I love icecream mochis and these mochis are good. The strawberry is definitely the best. However, the plate was covered with whip cream and chocolate sauce which in my opinion is really not necessary. I ate around it. Besides the daily special sashimi, the price is comparable to other sushi places I’ve been to around the country. The staff is really friendly. I did feel like I was getting too much attention, which is something I’ve never experienced at a restaurant, and it’s not as pleasant as you may think it is. I was being asked every 2 minutes by different people on if I was ready to order until I ordered, the first time right after I sat down and just took off my jacket. I couldn’t tell if they were doing that because the dining room was fairly empty when I first arrived or because I was dining by myself. Overall, I think it’s a good place for sushi around this area.
