This is one of those places that I’ve driven past at least 100 times, and finally had a buddy insist that we go there for breakfast. If you’re looking for a «Small Town» friendly place to eat, then this is it. I had an amazing omelet flanked by some of the tastiest home-fries of all time. The coffee is hot and fresh and your cup will never be empty. Can’t wait to try it for lunch.

Happy Pappy’s Sub Shop is a little dive open for breakfast and lunch on Grifffin Road. It is right next to the liqueur store of the same name. My meal was pretty average, hence the three star rating. I ordered an Omelet with Mushrooms, Tomatoes, Onions, and Ham. I don’t think they are too big on. Veggies there because I really had to search to find the them. The omelet itself,(which I even ordered with real eggs) was pretty tasteless. The grits on the side were lukewarm. The rest of my family though, thoroughly enjoyed their meals. 10 year old absolutely adored his wings. He said they were the best wings he ever had! For him, Happy Pappy’s deserves a «5 star» rating! 12 year old enjoyed his Cheeseburger and Husband said his Steak Sandwich was very tasty. Maybe I just ordered the wrong thing but I was in the mood for eggs and something a bit healthier. The place is pretty reasonable and always has daily specials. The staff is very friendly. I probably would not choose to go back on my own but at times, I might let my men drag me there!

Went to eat there for breakfast with my girlfriend and we have both enjoyed the options we ate from there. make sure to read the specials going on from the white board hanging on the wall because they are great for anytime from breakfast to lunch… service is super friendly, the only complaint at all about the place would be location for parking purposes. very limited.we haven’t ran into any problems parking but I could see that when it gets packed, how much of a headache it would be to backup. other than that– great food!

When I moved from NYC, the first thing I looked up was breakfast and HPs met and exceeded my expectations. The sisters treat my girlfriend and I like family. The daily specials not only save money but are legit. I usually get French toast with strawberries, blueberries & banana slices and it is made with love. The cookers stick their feet(metaphorically) into their meals. If you visit Denny’s, ihop or any other breakfast spot other than here would be cheating yourself! Don’t feed into the corporations who are just focused on money, these ladies are focused on quality of their product & satisfaction of their customers.

I had a meeting right nearby so I ducked in to recon the sub-situation. I enjoyed a large and«famous» steak and cheese with onions, hold the peppers. The sub was huge but way too salty. The sandwich and my soda cost $ 15 without tip. A little too pricey for a sub shop.

I can’t decide what is better at this local breakfast establishment — the service or the turkey bacon. The service is impeccable as the 2 sisters make sure that everyone who enters the door feels like they have just come home. Such a warm and fuzzy feeling. I always come for the turkey bacon and it is the best turkey bacon I have ever had. I can’t imagine how delicious the pork bacon is but my high blood pressure won’t let me try it. Don’t miss out on this place. If you try it, you will be sure to return!

Had the grilled cheese and tomato soup special $ 5.95. The soup came but had to wait for the grilled cheese sammy because my lunch buddy’s well done burger took for ever!!! Linda the waitress was pleasant but the kitchen slower than molasses. What a pity!!! The chili received good review

When i’m at my corporate office I always love to stop here and pick up a sub. There Tuna Sub is always fresh and delicious. Small local place where the food and service are always spot on. Did I mention very affordable. At lunch just sit back order some food and watch some TV before heading back to work. Great spot.

Love this place for cheap, fast breakfast. Very local joint. Always city workers and police eating there. Always have good specials. It reminds me of 1970’s Long Island. You can get Biscuits and Gravy here, that is not too bad, the eggs are cooked well, good hashbrowns and everything on the breakfast menu is under $ 5. Even the coffee is pretty good. I give it 5 stars because they treat you like family after they know you and it’s never packed. The food comes out fast and cheap, the lunches are great, I have nothing to complain about at Pappy’s. It is certainly not the best meal you will ever eat but it is never a hassle or a disappointment.

I recently stepped into Happy Pappy’s for the first time since I was a kid. I decided that it had been way too long and I needed some chicken philly in my life. Boy, did Happy Pappy’s deliver! The chicken was seasoned perfectly, the cheese was ooey-gooey and the bread was soft and warm. What more can you want in a sandwich?! The dining room was cute and small. There were lots of family photos everywhere that really gave it the«mom & pop» touch. The thing I noticed the most was all of the people eating there were long time customers. Shows you that HP is doing something right.
