Steve’s Espresso

I’ve been here more than I’ve checked-​in here for, and every experience has been great! Whenever I have a class to attend at the BC Campus, I walk over to the FAU campus during my lunch break. It’s quite a walk from where my classes usually are, but it’s definitely worth it (yes, even through the rain).
A lot of variety, from sandwiches and salads to burgers and burritos, the menu is predominantly café food. All decently priced. When you order, they go over the toppings as if you’re in Subway before you pay, so you can manage to put what you like in your sandwich or salad and mention what you’d like to be left out.
My favorite item on the menu is the chef salad. It’s cheap and HUGE, so definitely worth it (I’ve kept the other half for dinner once so I paid for two means, basically). When I opened the to-​go box for my salad, I looked at it and said to myself, «This is basically a Subways sandwich without the bread.» On a bed of mixed greens were slices of roast beef, ham, and turkey with all the salad fixings I mentioned, including pickled jalapeños on the side. It wasn’t the prettiest salad, I’ll tell you that, but again, it’s cost-​effective and filling. No wonder it’s a hot spot in a COLLEGE area (forget the ramen, come here for substantial food)!
They also have on display a huge array of snack treats like cookies and chips, and I noticed most of the cookies are vegan. I was craving dessert the first time I went here, and this is how I discovered my love for gluten-​free cookies. And if you want a beverage, they have lots — even Illy coffee.
Also, if you have a serious appetite and you’re very competitive, go for the Stevenormous burger. If you finish, you get a free shirt, your photo on the wall of fame for completing this Man-​VS-​Food-​esque challenge, and bragging rights.
Will come again for lunch for my next class!

OMG. why no reviews for this awesome, superior delicious place!!! Okay, fine. I feel great to review this because I feel honorable to do so. Overall this place is neat/​clean, the staff is so nice & very friendly. The food tastes great because it’s fresh and made in time. I also like this place is the humor signs on the wall while waiting your order. And that they make sure that you have the order number so, keep hold on your receipt! I wish they also have it in the FAU main campus… it maybe small, in the corner of the west end entrance but the people sure make you feel leaving a smile and a great day. I simply love Steve’s Expresso. ;)
