My wife and I were there with family tonight for a birthday celebration. There were 10 of us. The wait time to be seated was less than 15 minutes.(Around 5pm) We had 2 servers helping us the whole time, and they did an excellent job. Drinks were kept full, and they were often at the table. The food was very good. No one had any complaints. My wife and I ordered the ribs again. First time since my last review. While still not as tasty as Flanigans’ in my opinion, they are on par with them, and I enjoyed them thoroughly! My only negative would be that the men’s room was needing attention, and the lighting was terrible in there. Overall a great experience, and still our Longhorn of choice, even with the 20 minute drive. We have one down the road from us and we still choose this one.

I’ve seen poor service before, but it’s hard to remember an experience this bad. Either they were severely understaffed, or severely under-trained. Either is unacceptable at a chain of this level of recognition. When a party of 4 adult men walk in, your first instinct should be to ask if there will be separate checks. Your first task should be to bring water. Neither of these happened, and that just set the table for the rest of the experience. Add to the fact that not one but TWO people came in from the previous night to express their displeasure from the previous night. If you’re looking for a good steak, support a local place instead. Odds are you’ll pay about the same and get far better service. I definitely will not be returning.

.food is passanle for the price but the un professonal ability of the staff made this one of the worst dining experiences I have ever experienced We ere seated at a table with no silverware for about 15 minutes before the server arrived with hot bread and to take the drink order. He never returned for about 20 minutes with the drinks. It then took anarrivedother 5– 10 minutes for th e silver to arrive. Waiter took the order and when the food arrived two steaks were cooked wrong and 2 orders were not what the diners ordered. When i asked for the manager his response after this second complaint was i lwill speak to him later. Do yourself a favor and stay out of this Long Horn

I’ve lived in the area for years and have gone there many times and they still can’t get it right. It’s not Burger King and you don’t get it your way. I’ve sent the steak back because it was overcooked almost every time I’ve gone there. Most times it comes back wrong. Twice they no charged the dinner because of getting it wrong and not being able to get it right after trying. It’s an ongoing issue and I’ve just stopped going there. There’s other steakhouses in the area that are better and you get it your way.

Waited to be seated in a nearly empty restaurant, then waited for a server that didn’t show. Definitely not what we expected.

The service and food was wonderful. I came in for lunch and they had pretty good lunch specials(between $ 8 – 12). You can get half sandwiches with half salads and a whole bunch of combinations. The food took a little while to come out, even though it wasn’t that busy during the time that I was there. The waitress was great. All of the staff were friendly and nice. The waitress brought us refills in to go cups even though we didn’t ask for them.

I took my mother to Long Horn for her birthday because she loves steak and has never been. From the time we walked in and were seated we were greeted by the nicest people. Our waitress Julie was great and made my moms birthday a memorable one. My steak was cooked to perfection and when the bill came it was NOT a sticker shock and was a great value for the both of us. Thanks guys for making my mom happy. I will be back for sure.

I’m very disappointed with this restaurant. Such a beautiful restaurant, newly renovated and inside looks great. But the carpet smells like worst than some of the bathrooms. No one was there to welcome us and I saw people laughing in the back while we stand and watch that. Now let’s talk about food. Server asked what we want for drink and we ordered water. It’s taste nasty and smells. We asked the server and her answer was its a tap water like any other restaurants. I rather drink out of a canal. We ordered Salmon and Flat Iron Steak. Broccoli was very salty, to a point it tasted like it’s cooked in salt water. Steak wasn’t great either and salmon was just ok. Again for the price it was ok i guess. Over all my experience in this restaurant was not that great and all the bad experience I went through today can be fixed by a good management. One of the main thing is the bad odor from the carpet. It can be cleaned. And water situation can be fix by getting filtered water. There is a reason behind why the restaurant was empty on lunch time. You can’t even sit in the back because they are cutting the servers from there. So I won’t be going back until they fix the problem.

Planned a birthday Happy Hour here for a friend around 5:30 on a Friday night. We called ahead and told them we had around 12 people and wanted to take advantage of the Prime Time menu(appetizer and drink specials). We waited about 10 minutes for a table and were seated outside on the patio. After getting menus and not seeing anything about Prime Time we were told it was only available at the bar. Since we had told them in advance this was what we were there for and were not told it was only at the bar, they went ahead and let us order the specials. We ended up ordering various drinks and chili cheese fries, wild west shrimp tacos, spicy chicken bites, kettle chips and spinach dip. Our drink order was missing one drink and had an extra of another. Didn’t make a huge deal out of it because we all know how it is dealing with big parties. We kept the incorrect drink and just ordered another of the original. Ended up one of the water glasses had dirt in it so we asked for a replacement. The waiter held up the glass and looked in it to confirm there was dirt. He actually went to say something about it too; but, thought better and just walked away. Didn’t offer an apology or anything. The food took a while but was pretty good. The shrimp tacos being the favorite and the chili cheese fries being the least. The waiter did split the bills for us but they were incorrect in the end. I would probably return for lunch or dinner but not for a happy hour with a big party.

Unprofessional, rude, and not clean. Try out J. Alexander’s instead or Outback! Where do I begin? Okay, I called on a Friday night to make a reservation at 8:20. A guy answered the phone asked for my name and said I was«on the list» — didn’t specify if it was a reservation list or a call ahead list and then just hung up. When we arrived(9pm) we went to the front desk where 3 or 4 clearly stressed gentlemen IGNORED us. They each had their backs facing toward us, turned around to look at the screen in front of us and turned back around. A simple«hello, we will be right with you» would have sufficed. Once they were done with whatever was so much more important than talking to their guests, one turned and said«how many» while looking down at the screen infront of him instead of making eye contact with us. How RUDE. Having worked as a hostess, I know it’s their JOB to welcome their guests. We both did not feel welcome. Anyways I told him out name and he said it would be 15 minutes and handed us the pager. We went to the bar where we were promptly greeted with a smiling face. The brunette bartender was friendly and quick to make our wine and double vodka soda. The only negative thing I could say was we ordered lemon in the vodka soda and she gave us limes. Other than that a decent experience. When the pager went off we brought our glasses with us to the front and were seated and nothing was said to us. Just placed the menus down and left before we were settled. Shortly after an older man dropped off coasters for our drinks and left… without a single word. He later came up and asked if we wanted to order an appetizer … Again, NO name or real greeting. It was written all over his face that he was pissed he was getting sat with another table at 915. Man must be hard considering this is you JOB bro… Anyways, we ordered the spinach dip and it came out pretty quickly with chips. By this time we were already annoyed with our service but then we noticed there were pieces of fried beef mixed within our chips?!? We didn’t order anything beef and what if we were vegetarians?! What’s the worst part is I’m pretty sure the manager dropped it off. Pretty horrible attention to detail. After eating our app the server FINALLY introduced himself as JOHN and asked if we were ready to order. We each ordered a salad, steaks, and a side. I ordered the 8oz sirloin and my BF ordered the NY strip. Salads were pretty good, baked stuffed potato was amazing and the steaks both had great flavor but we’re both medium to medium well instead of medium rare. John never asked if our steaks were made to our liking or did anything extra. We even had to ask for waters(he clearly wasn’t happy we ordered our drinks at the bar). John dropped off the check and never really said have a good night or anything but at that moment nothing was expected. The only reason we tried out Longhorns was bc of the location but we’ll never be back. Outback around the corner off pine island is worth the extra drive. Nicer staff, cleaner floors, ect. Or J. Alexander’s — it’s about the same price with waaaaaaaayyyyy better service! I really had to use the restroom but didn’t want to even think about going in there after I saw the floors in the dining room. We won’t be back and will recommend our friends and clients elsewhere.

Wood Fired! Ask for your steak or anything else to be cooked this way. Most natural delicious flavor ever! Salad and a side comes with many meals and fresh loaf of bread! Salad– choice of Caesar or traditional. This salad is NOT skimpy! It’s big, and fresh veges galore. Presentation is beautiful! Sides– they offer many. I tend to lean to a baked potato and yes I enjoy the skin– get my nutrients. Lol Steaks! Lots of choices and honestly good prices. I’ve enjoyed many and seafood too. The BBQ ribs are tender and yum. Burgers, lunch time things can really be ordered at anytime. Burgers are juicy and huge! Chicken available in many various prepared ways. The soups are very good! Wow! My fave is loaded baked potato soup. They give a loaf of bread with it. Appetizers– I personally like a few, but The Key West Shrimp is a meal for me. Comes a lil spicy with a dip. This locale is fantastic!

So haven’t been to Longhorn in a few years.(Had one by work and used to get salad and chili for lunch but they took chili off the menu which was odd because I thought it was pretty good.) Took the host a couple of minutes to figure out where to seat us and then puts us right where wait staff comes in and out. No thanks and we took a high top at the bar which was a good move because the bartender Sarah took care of us and she was great. We did the meal for 2 for 29.99. It comes with choice of appetizer or desert, a salad, and entrée. We got the firecracker chicken wraps which were basically tacquitos but tasty. Both had the garden salad which was basic but good. For entrees, I had the salmon. I chose the steamed broccoli as the side. Number 1) it was cooked almost perfectly and 2) it was a nice hearty portion unlike a lot of places you’re lucky if you get 2 florets. The salmon was cooked in some type of glaze but it was just the right amount of sweet. It was served on a bed of some type of rice. It was white but not white and delicious(dangerous if you’re low carbing) My boyfriend had the garlic mushroom filet cooked medium well and chose mashed potatoes as his side. He was quite pleased with everything. All around, it was a really good experience. Oh, and it looks like chili is back on the menu.

We go here frequently and for the most part everything is delicious. The filet with champagne lobster is to die for and my husband had gotten the ribeye, prime rib and porterhouse at different times of course. His favorite is the porterhouse.

I remember someone on the Talk threads a couple months ago asking which steak was better Longhorn or Texas de Brazil, of course for me those are two entirely different types of establishment so there is no comparison but it got me thinking… how good are the steaks at Longhorn? I came in on a Friday night and it was not very busy but we had to wait a couple minutes because the hostess was no were to be found. We only had to wait 10 minutes for her to arrive and then were seated immediately, so no biggie. We ordered the corn nuggets for appetizer, which I really enjoyed with the sauce. It was nice and light and not too oily. Next, we ordered the porterhouse for 2. This comes with 2 sides and 2 salads as well. I have to say that their Caeser salad was probably then blandest salad I have ever tasted. It lacked dressing but was over peppered. The mashed potatoes and fries though were ok, nothing too terrible but not stellar either. The mashed potatoes were a little too creamy, like it tasted like milk or heavy cream rather than buttery potato-ish. Now on to the meat, it was good, really juicy and flavorful. Much better than the steaks I have had at similar establishments. But I would not say it compares to Texas de Brazil to answer that question. Not that it is not that good but that the steaks are prepared and presented differently, so no comparison. I would say though Longhorn steaks is as good as some higher end steakhouses. A couple things I didn’t care for in addition to the salad and sides, was the steak sauce prepared at the table. Usually, you would have to pay close to $ 2 for this but it came with our meal. It tasted too much of rosemary and didn’t have the tart flavor I expect of steaksauce. But I will say that the steaks are great without it. So I would say save your money. I also didn’t care for the ambiance. It was pretty boring, the décor, the vibes, etc… all boring. Even our waiter, who was attentive enough, just seemed to hate his job and serving us was a nuisance. I think they should try to do something to liven the place up some more. I’m not sure if I will be back, but the steaks are really good and reasonably priced so I would encourage others to give them a shot.

We had been to the location on Sheridan a few times because Hubby loves the big steaks, so I thought I would check out the lunch menu for this location. I also saw that they have online ordering, which is a huge plus for me. Another reason I thought I would try them out is protein. I have to eat more protein, and I am all chickened out. Meanwhile, I find myself eating more beef these days… and will continue at least until I hit my beef limit. So, I ordered a prime rib sandwich that came with a side; I thought I would go with the Mac & Cheese. The site let me choose the time to pick up the order, and it instructed me to pick up the order at the bar. I appreciated this a LOT. Many places I have ordered online don’t specify where to pick up the food, and I get a lot of, «You don’t get out much, do you?» looks from smug wait staff when I ask for my order. Then they point me out, and direct me to go around the corner to another side, and blah, blah BLAH! Can anyone explain to me why a restaurant would take the time and pay for the effort of setting up an online ordering system just to confuse their customers? At least with Longhorn. I walked right in like I owned the place, past the hostess and headed to the bartender. Got my food(on time — YAY), and got out of there without going through the hassle of «where’s the hidden take out counter! « I liked how they packed the food also. They put everything in one container, but had each item separated so there was no crossing of ingredients, which is another take-out pet peeve of mine. The steak sandwich was really good. I was impressed at how hot it was when I bit into it, thinking it was packed well to hold that much heat after a car ride. The meat was flavorful, but I still had quite a bit of gristle. I’m just lucky this way, I guess. My first bite of the Mac & Cheese was good, but underneath the crust, it wasn’t quite as good. I normally like bacon in things, but this just didn’t work for me in this case. I plan to try some of the other online lunch items at LongHorn, and hopefully I can be a regular here as it was easy to get in and out of. I am kind of skeptical that the food was fresh. I am guessing it was pre-prepared, and frozen. Most of the gravity for this review is for making my life easier to grab lunch.

I highly recommend NOT going here. I went here the other day because it was close by and I thought I’d give Longhorn’s another chance. You see, my husband and I have this ongoing debate on which is better, Longhorn’s or Outback. I know that I am right, Outback is way better! I got the ribeye and for $ 20, I’m not expecting the quality you might get at a high end steakhouse, but seriously I DO expect it to be better than something you might get off the buffet at Golden Corral. The steak was small and thin, the salad was just salad, the baked potato was just a baked potato — nothing about this meal warranted $ 20. Furthermore, I got it to go and my plastic ware immediately broke, as I tried to use it. The food was so subpar, that I didn’t even finish it. I seriously doubt I will ever be going back to Longhorns and wasting my money. Next time I’ll just go to Golden Coral, at least there I can get ice cream.

Just the perfect restaurant to get your MEAT on. When we arrived we got their lunch menu that serves until 4pm. This location is top notch. We had such a great server as usual here. She brought over our beer and water immediately and took our order. We started with spinach dip which was excellent. The chips were fresh and thin and the dip tasted great. I was quite impressed with their lunch menu since I had only dined here for dinner. They offer salads, sandwiches, or half sandwich and half salad and of course a few steaks. I decided to go with the prime rib sandwich and fries. The sandwich was delicious. The meat was tender, bread was fresh and it had very good flavor to it. I have always been a big fan of this restaurant because their food is consistent, service is always excellent and you can not beat the prices for the quality of food. This chain gets it right. You want a nice juicy steak and a good beer, cocktail or glass of wine without breaking the bank then check them out. If you are not a meat eater no worries they have seafood as well. The décor is rustic dark woods, very comfy and inviting. They also have a small selection of wines and the prices for bottles are very good. Want a great steak dinner and a bottle of wine in a fun atmosphere with incredible service, stop and go here. Great job, great food, great service, enough said!

I’ve enjoyed dinner here a few times. The food and the service has been great. The reason for my 3 stars is there is a terrible odor that really turns you off when you enter. I worked in the restaurant field and the odor reminds me of what the mop buckets smelled like when they where dirty. The sour smell that comes from dirty mop water and old mop heads. It’s gross and turns your stomach. After a while, I guess you get used to it and are able to enjoy your dinner but EW! Longhorn, you have to tackle that problem! Other than that, we are always greeted and sat promptly by a happy face. I have always had friendly, prompt service. I’ve had the trout which was yummy and of course, prime rib. We go a little early to get it rare. The last time we went, it was over the top good. We will go back for the food and service but just wish they would clean up that smell.
