Highway Robbery !
Brought in a suit and 2 pair of pants for alterations. My fault that I did not ask for cost but read some of the other reviews. When I picked my order up I was charged 140 dollars ! I told them I felt this was unfair and they could care less. I felt totally ripped off and completely duped. I left in shock over the price and the fact they didn’t care.

I had to get a dress hemmed in 3 days so my options were limited to start with. When I called and asked if this was possible the guy’s response was «bring it in». When I got to the shop I was surprised by how tiny it is. The woman had me stand up and marked the dress with chalk. I dropped it off on Mondays & they said it would be ready Wednesday! Upon returning Wednesday I brought my shoes to try the dress on and make sure it was ok. The woman got very offended I wanted to try the dress on and she wouldn’t hand me the dress to try it. She said «I’ve been doing this forever. You don’t need to try it. I know what I’m doing». It got very awkward and she just handed me the dress and said bye. I will not be returning here

I’m a guy and I brought a pair of skinny jeans here several months ago. They were long and I wanted them hemmed and re-​tapered (since cutting them short loses the taper). I’ve done this many times to my jeans at other places. When he was measuring my jeans, I told him I was worried he would hem them too high up and that these were expensive jeans. He told me he hems «rockstar’s jeans» that are much more expensive. I even called the shop to remind him, not too short. Anyway, in the end, the jeans were hemmed and stop at my ankles. I can only wear them with high top shoes. He was so confident he knew what he was doing, but he ended up making a great pair of jeans frustrating to wear. I only still wear them once in a while because I can’t accept spend $ 200+ on jeans and never being able to put them on.

I found this place on Unilocal.They use chalk to measure me when we did my fitting. They don’t use pins and I got perfect results. I love the work they do on my clothes and they are reasonably priced. I recommend.

A few months ago, I went to a designer trunk show and ended up falling in love… with a pair of pants. A pair of gorgeous, wide-​leg, silk, deep purple, Alice & Olivia pants. Andddd they were size 0. womp womp. I could get the pants up, over the booty and even button them, but, all my cushion (aka fat) was pushed up up up and forced to spill over the top of the high-​waisted pants, a la muffin top. And of course to even just stand there with them buttoned I had to sacrifice being able to breath, so that was kind of a deal breaker. But daddy I love them!
I couldn’t say no to these pants, they were just too beautiful and I knew that unless I wanted to pay the retail price of $ 350+ (spoiler alter: I didn’t) then I wouldn’t be able to find these exact pants, and I wanted these EXACT pants. So, I bought them, and then I hung them in my closet, and then commenced beast mode. And now I can happily say that after two or so months, I can fit and breath easy, sans muffin top, in my glorious size 0 pants. Here’s the problem: they now fit, but they still don’t fit. These pants are loooong and clearly not made for my 5’4 self and not even my 5’9 self in heels.
I knew I had to take them to someone who is a skilled and trustworthy tailor being that the pants have a cuff hem and that they are silk. I worked my butt off (literally) to fit into these pants and I wasn’t leaving them in the care of any ol’ joe with a sewing machine. Prestige Tailor came personally recommended by a good friend, and the Unilocal reviews, while minimal, are all positive, so I came in with my pants, along with a skirt that needed a new zipper, and crossed my fingers.
It took me a few weeks to be able to make it over since they close at 6 and are only opened until 2 on Saturday. When I did finally make it, I walked in to the small shop and it was just a singular older man working. He greeted me and pointed in the direction of the changing room. When I came out, he had his square of chalk ready and when I stood on the pedestal, he bent down, folded under one leg of the pants, made a slash mark in the front and one in the back, confirmed that I wanted to keep the cuff hem and then pointed again at the changing room door.
No pins? No Measurements? Two slashes of chalk and that’s it? Eeeek! I was pretty nervous I gotta tell ya, but, there was also something gravely confident in the way he went about it, like he’s been doing it for years and like pins are for pansies. I was pleasantly surprised when he wrote my ticket and the hem was $ 15 bucks. The replacement zipper was going on a leather skirt, so that he said would be $ 10 or more, based on how hard it is to replace. The turn around time is less than a week, so I was happy with that too.
When I picked up my pants and skirt, I examined the hem closely and was really happy. The seams were matched up perfectly and the the stitches really tight. The hem was identical to the one that was there before and you couldn’t at all tell that they had been altered. He told me that replacing the zipper on the leather skirt took alot of playing and adjusting, but that he finally got it. and he only charged me $ 11 for it despite it not being an easy job. Very happy with his work and will definitely be coming back here for my tailoring needs!

Very nice & welcoming! Dropped off my boyfriends suit to get tailored for a wedding and the turn-​around time was only a few days! Very nice folks and did a great job fitting and tailoring the suit to his likings!

Very pleasant people. It’s a small shop but they did a wonderful job on my dress and the turn around was quick. The material was tricky to work with but it’s so well done you can’t tell it was altered. I’ll definitely be going back with other pieces
