I order online from this store and it is always a problem. I go at night between 6 and 10 and the people there are late with my order. Eddie Betty Stefanie and Ruth are always there and they have given me attitude more than once about my order. I am a continuous customer, after today I don’t think I can eat from this specific Panda Express anymore its sucks that it is the only one near me.

I’m a legit chinese food consumer, so I have a very high standard for chinese food. But when it comes to Panda Express, I can’t complain. Yes, it’s cooked by latinos, yes it’s americanized. but it’s GOOD. I actually like the food they have here. There’s a wide variety for everyone. I personally always get the chow mein & kung pao chicken, then rotate a few other selections around. I love noodles, and they’re chow mein is excellent. The kung pao chicken is my favorite, with a little bit of spice and diced veggies. Everything is flavorful. There might be a lot of msg, which explains why I’m always tired after, but hey, it was a good meal. I suggest always getting the two go box compared to the plate, you get more food.

It’s Chinese fast food, what do you expect?! Always delicious! One star removed because this location is ALWAYS understaffed! Come on, this is a college town!

Service is really quick here, which I like. It tends to get very crowded during dinner time, which is the time i usually go, unless im craving it late at night. It’s panda express chinese food, so you cant expect much. I think the chow mein is pretty dry and greasy, so I usually just get steamed rice or fried rice. The fried rice is sometimes very dry as well. I love their beijing beef, and orange chicken! very consistent between batches and delicious! I also recommend getting their teriyaki chicken, it was also very flavorful as well. Lots of parking in the area and lots of seats and tables to eat at, which is a HUGE plus! I would rather go to Four Seasons in South Davis for better and cheaper chinese food, but hey, It’s panda express, you cant expect much.

This Panda Express gets 3 stars because the service is good and quick, and their food is reportedly as good as expected, but it’s always a bit of a gamble if you will get what you want immediately. Personally, I don’t like vegetables too much so I’m starting to eat less chow mein. If you get their chow mein, it’s more half veggies and half noodles. Take that however you want. Their meats are always tasty(and oily), and they are especially known for their orange chicken so make sure to get some of that. I’d recommend getting their fried rice and some teriyaki chicken and orange chicken because those are some of their best items, but honestly all of their selections are really good. Granted, all of their items are extremely oily and people always criticize them for not being truly ‘Asian’, but you have to admit, their food tastes good. The time I came here, they told me I had to wait 12 minutes for their teriyaki chicken, so that was a downer. Regardless, it’s quick Asian food for a reasonable price and there’s plenty of parking. And of course, a complementary fortune cookie.

What it does, it does well. I’d say most(if not all) of its customers are previous mall patrons. No, this is not a place you’d expect to find classic Chinese cuisine, but I’d certainly hope you wouldn’t enter this place thinking anything of the sort. The chicken nuggets with orange sauce have made their dent in the fast food world and this place does them well. Lots of food in bains under heat lamps await your order so the quick pick up of food is certainly possible. So in the end this is a good execution of that corner in the mall out in the middle of a parking lot in Davis. It does, however, remain comical that people refer to this as Chinese food.

Been here a couple of times throughout the year. Just like any other panda. Helps get over those Chinese food cravings. Although this time around they seem to have a newer staff serving customers, making the service much better than other panda’s.

I absolutely love Panda Express and their orange chicken is to die for. But this place really sucks at giving you good quantities for the price you’re paying. It’s super annoying.

Panda Express employees should get more training on how to process a payment with an e-gift card. The cashier doesn’t know how to process a Panda Express e-gift card. I showed him the card number and PIN on my phone, but he refused to input them and said I have to pay with a credit/debit card. If you buy a Panda Express gift card at GiftCardMall, you have an option to get the card via email — basically you get a card number and a PIN. I guess nowadays less people are willing to carry physical gift cards — my wallet is already full of bank cards. Showing the email with the card number and PIN on phone is much more convenient than carrying a physical gift card. I was shocked that I was turned down when trying to use an e-gift card at Panda Express. Bad experience.

This is the Taco Bell of Chinese food — without the dollar menu. $ 9 for some noodles and two sides? Really? Everyone says this is ‘not authentic’ but as a Chinese-American, I have to say it comes pretty close at times. Of course its Americanized and geared towards Americans, but put it on a fancy plate and most people wouldn’t be able to tell. Here’s what I ordered today!(They let you sample, just ask!) 1. Chow Mein(Stir-Fried Noodles) For some reason, they call the rice/noodles the ‘side’ dish. But anyways, the chow mein is a bit overloaded with cabbage and celery. And as expected, its nice and oily! 2. Bejing Beef The Beijing beef is commonly known as ‘Peking beef’ in authentic Chinese restaurants. I have to say Panda has this dish spot on in terms of flavor. The only difference is that Chinese restaurants usually cook this dish with the bone in. 3. Honey Walnut Prawns Out of the 3, I have to say only this dish had me screaming for help. Covered in a thick layer of batter, it left me wondering whether I was eating prawns, or just fried flour. TL;DR If you’re looking for some greasy take-out style Chinese food, you won’t be disappointed. This food is guaranteed to leave a brick in your stomach. You probably don’t want to grab this if you don’t have time to feel and be sluggish for a couple hours afterwards. The line was a bit long when I went. Don’t want to be caught grabbing ‘fake Chinese’ food at Panda? Head down the street to the Savemart plaza and try out Ding How. Its cheaper than Panda, and even has classic décor from the 1900s.

If you’re looking for a clean Chinese– American food, you have found the place! It is 95% consistent in taste with a friendly staff! Yes, it may not be your«Authentic Chinese» food, but at least you can count on some good food! You can always call in your order if you don’t want to stand in line!

LOVE their orange chicken. It is just like any other Panda Express O.C. but still, it’s hella good. The workers are helpful, always asking me if I want a sample of. .. everything! As far as atmosphere goes, I didn’t notice much of it because the food distracted me so much :) I’m a fan!

Panda Express is just whatever. Definitely not authentic, but even I, a Chinese-American, crave for some ‘fake’ Chinese food once in a while. Here’s what I recommend: 1. Sweet-fire chicken breast(the best item, IMO) 2. Beijing beef 3. Orange chicken Everything else I can pass on, although on the rare occasions that I’m super hungry, I add a hot and sour soup on the side. Be sure try some samples! Sometimes I ask for sweet-fire chicken breast even if I already know I’m going to get it just because I like it that much. Prices are fair for portion sizes. Style of service is similar to Chipotle. I’d consider Panda to be fast food; just like how Chipotle isn’t real Mexican food, Panda Express isn’t either but it’s OK for a quick hassle-free meal.

Yum Yum Panda. Destination for grease Chinese food(…relative of the cuisine that actually comes from China). No complaints of any sort for the service; it was friendly(samples) and quick. I was in and out of there in less than 10 minutes with my take-out, nearing the end of lunch rush. The place was fairly clean, no litter of any sort around and tables cleared/wiped for the most part. Always good to come here when you have a coupon of sorts for a freebie side with your entrée. Plus side, there’s a brown rice option if one would like it instead of white rice. Portion sizes are ok, good enough for a meal and a little more for later. The food can be very oily(where I need to wash it down with hot/warm tea or coffee). Flavors are always very strong, heavy handed with seasonings. Vegetables can be a little overcooked as they sit and wait to be served, but what can I say, it’s fast food. I can always count on strong flavors coming from the orange chicken, a thick layer of sauce covering the chicken and rice always makes a good savory mixture. For a quick meal, this will hit the spot to hold of a Chinese craving until later on. All in all, food at any Panda Express is pretty much the same, just the serivce is what makes the difference. Final Thoughts: Good quick semi-Chinese food

As far as chineese food goes, this is just typical Panda Express. I am not writing this review due to the food because let’s be honest, every panda tastes pretty similar. I am however commenting on the impressive cleanliness of this particular Panda Express. The area to get your food is really clean and I saw staff cleaning the floorboards as well as cleaning out the drink stations while here. Staff were constantly thou roughly cleansing the tables as well. For a place that can get busy I was very satisfied knowing it is kept clean and the staff are overall aware of keeping things sanitized

Panda Express is a quick, cheap, and convenient way to get your chinese food fix. It is like any other Panda Express spot! Same set up, same options. Friend and I went for dinner and ends up order 1 side 2 entrée for both of us, it was more than enough. Therefore dinner for two at $ 8 is not bad! My personal favorite is the Kung Pao Chicken!

For Chinese food, it is just regular Chinese food. Nothing amazing; nothing subpar. For a Panda Express, it is pretty decent. Restaurant is clean, service is quick(unless it is a peak time), but that just may be due to sheer volume of people. Food is fresh and often just made. If you want a Panda Express, would recommend this place.

Customer service was nice. But the food was just. Aweful. One of the reviews said the orange chicken was te best in town. I’d have to disagree that meat sitting in a vat waiting for someone to eat it all day versus something fresh could be the best. It was soggy and bland as well as just chewy and awkward feeling. The teriyaki chicken was ok aside from a large amount of fat. For a 2 item combo a drink and two spring rolls you could get a HUGE one item or lunch combo at a real chinese resturaunt.

This place had an incredibly long line when I came in on a weekday night, probably because everyone wanted to use the«Free Honey Sesame Chicken» deal. Otherwise, this is just like any other Panda Express — they’ve got Mexican chefs and 1 Chinese staff member serving Chinese cuisine. Also, they need to hire a new fortune cookie writer because Panda Express is notorious for failing with giving real fortunes. This time, mine said«Ask Your Mom.» uhh thanks, whatever that means. I got the 2 entrees and a side option. They count the freebie as an additional entrée when discounting it on the receipt, so instead of paying for the price of 2 entrees and a side, you pay for 3 entrees and a side, minus $ 1.49 for a free entrée. I prefer paying for 2 entrees and a side and getting a freebie instead. Also, they now have a brown fried rice option, in addition to the usual white fried rice. It doesn’t taste great, but it’s healthier. They’re skimpy on entrees, but I was still full at the end of the meal. And the freebie is given in a dinky little to go box, but hey, it’s free! Overall, not bad. Don’t expect too much. Tons of parking. And if you don’t want Panda Express, you can check out a bunch of other eateries in the plaza.
