Starbucks

Was kinda disappointed because the lady gave me attitude for requesting a grande cup of ice… I know there is people in line but i had already gotten my drink and only wanted a cup of ice. Then she gives it to me and says «people usually wait in line.» Sigh.

Aren’t all Starbucks the same? Well no. This is my favorite Starbucks and study place, hands down. When I lived in North Davis, this was my go to study spot because it’s tucked away from everyone so it doesn’t get that crowded. There’s plenty of tables and booths (those were my favorite) and outlets. It does get crowded around the midterms/​finals time but during the other weeks, this place is perfect. Since it’s a little out of the way, not that many people come by. Their hours is also one of the best parts about this place. They’re open till 10pm! It’s a great alternative to the arc or the 24 hour study room.
The workers are very friendly. My drinks have always been on point. The bathroom is always clean (this is so important.) Overall, one of the better Starbucks I’ve ever visited.

Nice but need their own parking. Covell Professional Center (where everyone there parks is going to start towing cars for people using starbucks after the 1^st of the year so get there early to get in Starbucks parking lot which is pretty small.

One of the better starbucks locations, and my main starbucks in Davis. There are so many seats for students who need to study, the internet is fast, and there are outlets everywhere. If you need to study though, I recommend not coming here during the weekends unless you are willing to wait for a seat, because it gets really crowded.
The staff here are extremely friendly. They seem to know all the the residents in Davis who are not college students. Also, when they give you your drinks, they always tell you to tell them if it doesn’t taste good.

This location has excellent customer service. Great manager and great staff. I have always come to this location in Davis and will always come to this location.

One of the best Starbucks locations ever! Out of all the Davis, CA locations, I highly recommend this one. They recently expanded, allowing for ample study/​work space, if you would like to relax for awhile. They also conveniently offer 10 Min parking and a drive through, if you are on the go.
As I am sitting here, I have watched the manager: deliver drinks and food to the several patrons, and offer up a free Carmel Frappuccino. I assume this was a drink that they messed up from someone else’s order. Two people got up to claim it, and because there was only one, the manager offered the second person a free Carmel Frap! I have worked in customer service industries for over 10 years, and this location epitomizes great customer service!
The only drawbacks: limited parking, and it’s cold. Bring a sweater!
P. S. Avoid the downtown location at all costs. I have always experienced terrible customer service there, including form the manager: one time over $ 5 gift card! Another story for another day.

I’ve been sitting at a table right next to the counter for the past few hours, and I gotta say… y’all are some of the friendliest Starbucks employees I’ve seen anywhere. You know how sometimes workers have that caring, friendly voice that makes you feel special and welcome? Yeah, these folks have The Voice. Spin that big red chair around.
Awesome place to study and get work done. Google Wi-​Fi works like a charm. Even the customers seem really down to earth… hahah, I should stop sitting next to the counter so I don’t keep eavesdropping. Great atmosphere overall. I popped in my earbuds and have been cranking out this report like a machine. Six stars if you rename this place the Zen Spot.
Oh, by the way, a PSA: Customer service is hard and it would be helpful if some folks stopped expecting employees to be saints every second of the day. CHILL THE F OUT and enjoy the coffee. Sbux employees, keep those spirits up and keep hustlin’. You da real MVPs.

When I first saw this Starbucks had 4 stars I literally was in utter shock. There is never parking. This Starbucks Is inedible maybe I’m just unlucky but I’ve never here and left with my order being correct. Today asked for a black tea and the gave me a green tea. I don’t know I feel like it’s not they shouldn’t mess that up. 6 out of 10 of the people that work there are rude. They don’t make their hot drinks correctly. Their fraps are okay and I’m not saying anything about the cold drinks because again they gave me a green tea instead of black. Don’t waste your money here. Go to the Starbucks in the UMall

I really like this Starbucks. It comes down to the folks who work there. They genuinely make ordering a cup of coffee an enjoyable experience. I’ve felt welcome and comfortable when I’ve ordered inside and hung out for an hour or two (great place to kill time when waiting for someone over at Sutter Hospital) and I always drive away with a smile after going through their drive-​through.

One thing I like about Starbucks is that you can customize your drinks to whatever you want. But earlier it didn’t happen, I ordered Double Chocolate Frapp w/​1 inch of camamel drizzle on the bottom, and guess what? the caramel drizzle that they put in it is not even close to half an inch. Seriously?! I even said «1 Inch» and not «extra» to be more specific that’s why I’m very disappointed.
Oh! And I also like it with crunchies on the bottom as well which is only available in Summer and they ran out, like are you SERIOUS?! You guys should always have more than enough of supply of crunchies because I AM NOT WAITING ANOTHER YEAR JUST TO HAVE CRUNCHIES ON MY DRINK.

This is one of my favorite places to study in Davis. It’s spacious, has a fair number of tables and outlets, and usually doesn’t get crazy loud. Food and drinks are standard that sbux lovers will recognize. The drive through is also convenient if you just wanna get something to go!
The bad: Parking can be difficult, there are only like 10 – 20 spots and sometimes the lot is full. You can only park at the office next door on weekends or later at night without risk of tow. The workers can sometimes get a bit too rambunctious. Also sometimes it gets too cold if you sit under the AC generator.
Despite the cons, I come here a couple of times a month. Somehow the music here is better than most cafes. Recommended as a place to chat over coffee or to study off of campus.

Favorite Starbucks in Davis. Spacious shop with plenty of chairs and tables. Huge windows with natural lighting. Lots of shelf space for various Starbucks merchandise.
The baristas at this location consistently make good drinks. They also work quickly and are friendly. Plus only drive through location in Davis!
My current favorite drinks iced vanilla latte with soy and caramel flan latte. They make good breakfast sandwiches too. Their chocolate croissants from La Boulange are so good!

Love picking up coffee for my sister and me after my weekly PT appt across the street. Always friendly at the drive thru and Nick (I think that was his name) was so friendly and fun to talk to today. Keep up the great work Starbucks.

The morning is not the morning without a stop here. It is a typical SB so no surprise that on a holiday it is packed with students and everyone just sitting and surfing and having a cup of Joe. Lines are long but here is where the rubber hits the road. It is obvious that the front counter Barista is out of her element and working a lot slower than usual. To top it off a customer comes to her and explains that his Expresso Macchiatto was wrong. She argued to say that it was right and that is how it comes. He had a large and the cup wasn’t even half full. He explained to her how the drink is made and she waved him off and started talking to a co-​worker. The sign clearly states «If you are not happy, we will make it right.» Not with this barista. Some positions are made for younger, nimble hands.

Coffee was fine so I will give em 3 stars. but the scam gets a rookie zero stars.
I ordered via the drive thru on my way a my daughters basketball game at Davis HS. The same day I ordered and paid via my AMEX I get a suspicious charge for a gift card. It has now refilled to the tune of $ 255.00. Amex fraud department is investigating but this seems like a simple caper to solve. I have never had a reloadable SBUX card and charge one started the same day/​morning I came to this Starbucks for the first and only time. Coincidence?!
Check your credit statements and caveat emptor.

Very bubbly baristas even at 6 in the morning. This store is quite spacious, and I would just guess that it’s less busy than the U-​Mall or downtown stores that are more accessible to students. Coffee is typical Starbucks quality.
I’m a bit bummed that they’re not on Google wifi yet. AT&T is painfully slow, especially when more people get on the network. I hope they make the switch soon! Until then, three stars for slow internet.

It is only appropriate that my 100^th review is on a Starbucks location… and my favorite one at that!
I was first introduced to this location during my freshman year at UCD. My friends and I came often since it is spacious and quiet. They have ample outlets, privacy, and comfortable seating. Their drinks and service are also consistently good here. They have a private lot for parking, and even a drive thru if you’re in a hurry!
My favorite drinks are the Peach Green Tea Lemonade and the Caramel Brulee Latte. Too bad both are seasonal drinks! I’m a bit sad I didn’t frequent this location much after freshman year, since it is a bit out-​of-​the-​way. Will definitely miss it!
Side note: I’ve been here for the past 2 hours and I’m not freezing cold! It’s nice that the temperature in here is moderate.

How have I not discovered this Starbucks sooner?! Yep, ladies and gents, this is a drive-​thru Starbucks!
Hidden behind a car wash /​gas station building, it is behind the plaza that has Subway and Burger King. This is going to be my favorite Starbucks in Davis.

1. Iced green tea latte, shaken
2. Vanilla frappucino w/​almond flavoring [“Cake Batter” Frappucino]
3. Iced caramel macchiato

This is my favorite Starbucks in Davis. Okay, to be honest, I have only been this one and the one in downtown, but I like this one way more! I think the baristas are better at making the coffee, and they are way friendlier. This Starbucks also has a lot of tables and outlets, so it’s usually PACKED with students or people studying. It’s also near a retirement home, so lots of people from there come, too, especially in the mornings and on weekends. It’s pretty hard to find a spot to study here if you want a table sometimes.
They have a drive-​thru. But if you try to come here in the mornings the line is super long. Usually a traffic jam in the parking lot. And the parking lot allotted to the Starbucks is definitely not big enough for all the people that come here. Even if you decide to park and walk in to get your Starbucks instead of sitting in the drive-​thru, sometimes you can’t find a parking spot.

This might be my favorite Starbucks ever, in both the bay and Davis area. All Starbucks are more or less the same, so it’s really the service that makes the difference.
Not only does this Starbucks have a drive-​thru, which is super convenient, the employees who work the drive thru were super friendly and professional. The girl who took my order was friendly and patient, the guy who made and handed me my drinks took the extra step to ask me if I needed anything else before I drove away. Thank you for the lid plugs, my drinks would have definitely spilled out during my drive without them. I do not like to clean coffee stains, so I’m super grateful (:
