Update: Yogurtland is now closed :( Let me take a second to mourn the best froyo Davis has ever seen. After weeks of speculation, I decided to go straight to the source & email the company to ask about what happened. They responded very promptly and said that the franchise owner decided to close. So there you have it folks. A sad day indeed.

I’ve been in love with Yogurtland’s new flavor’s recently. Mudslide and mango/peach were both amazing. I think as of 8÷17÷14(or maybe earlier) this place has closed down? I went a couple days ago and wanted to come back today but saw that the sign was taken down and the entrance was covered.

The(co-?) owner is suuuper nice and friendly. When my friends and I were waiting in line for the free cup of froyo during their grand opening and on national yogurt day, he passed out bottles of water to the hundreds of people waiting in line. Both times! He didn’t have to, but he did. Such a kind gesture! Glad Davis was able to have this little gem as an addition.

Hands down the best place in Davis for yogurt as far as the quality of yogurt goes, cleanliness, AND customer service! It’s the only place that maintains their machines often so that the yogurt is dense and not«soupy». You can’t make the yogurt stand up sky high at other places. The owner of the franchise is very nice as are his staff. On some occasions you can see him working there. On Yogurtland’s free yogurt day, he went down the line to talk to the guests and thanked them for coming. After getting some food, my friend and I waltzed by the shop right after free yogurt promo ended. The owner apologized to us saying that the registers weren’t open yet and gave us free yogurt coupons. Sweet! Some yogurt shops should take notes, AHEM Sugarplum… The Yogurtland app is also very helpful in terms of seeing the flavors available at each location and for keeping track of reward points. Since they track ounces and not per purchase, I find it very quick to earn rewards and I’ve redeemed a good amount of ounces of free yogurt so far. Oh, and they also provide free fruit infused water :)

This place is really close to where I live so if come here a bit too often as you can imagine. The place is always very clean and well-kept. Workers are nice and I think I might be on joking basis with one of them haha! Anyways, they always have great flavors and changes it up pretty often so you don’t get bored. I always wonder what flavors they will have next, and they can get pretty creative(in a good way). I’ve never had any bad experiences here so there’s no reason for me not to come back. Usually I just go to Safeway and stop by here on the way back home since it’s so convenient.

I love Yogurtland! I was a fan of several of their outlets in L.A., and their Davis location did not disappoint! Consistently delicious. None of the flavors really«wowed» me this time, but I sampled a few new ones, including«Vanilla Date Shake»(just OK) and«Black Currant Berry Tart»(tasty — one of my «final» flavors in today’s yogurt creation). Topped up my final cup with Double Cookies & Cream, Dutch Chocolate, plain mochi(so pillowy soft, mmm), carob chips, and dark chocolate covered almond bites(these were AMAZING! I think they had a hint of sea salt). I thoroughly enjoyed my cup o’ deliciousness. The yogurt itself has a creamy and rich consistency. The staff was helpful and willing to give sample cups if you ask. The topping station looked clean and well stocked. And the yogurt prices are very reasonable. I’ll be back :-)

Of all the yogurt places in Davis, this one has to be my favorite. The flavors are always interesting and tasty, and the selection is great. I like how the flavors are rotated often — it keeps things interesting. The best thing about this location is the manager. This guy is more excited about frozen yogurt than anyone I have ever met. I’ve spoken to him multiple times, and each time he seems genuinely psyched about the flavors they’ve got and which ones he’s going to put together; he really puts a lot of thought into which flavors should be paired. Last time, my friends and I were sitting outside at the tables trying to decide if we should get froyo, and the manager came out and gave us all free samples of his newest flavor combos. Such a great guy and great yogurt — what more could you want?

I like this place. Yogurtland is good froyo that isn’t as expensive as Pinkberry. Even when I feel like I get a lot in my cup, I never feel like the price that comes up is appalling. You can always ask for sample cups to try the flavors before you commit to getting more than a small dollop of it. I like the tart flavors, but unfortunately, the flavors change around a lot, and the only tart flavor that is consistently available is the original tart. Good thing the original tart is my favorite! They have a rewards program now. You can get a card for it, or just download the app on your phone. Somehow, I quickly progressed from green to raspberry to platinum level in about a month(I should stop coming here). I feel like every other time I come, I earn a free 3oz/4oz of froyo that I can use next time I come in. I think I’m addicted. It’s a problem.

Yogurtland — NorCal and SoCal — is my favorite frozen yogurt place. * It’s cheaper than Pinkberry. Self-serve ftw. * You can try all the samples in the world and be frugally liberal about it. * There’s a large variety of toppings. Fruits, granola, popping boba, etc. Go for the mochi and cheesecake bits You can only imagine how excited I was when this location arrived last year. I frequented it way too often when I lived right across from the Marketplace. I’ve gone to so many YLs, including the original location before it became a franchise(not to pull the ‘hipster’ card), so I can safely say that I’m pretty familiar with the flavors. And this location lacks exotic flavors. I suppose they want to cater to the majority here — but I want at the very least green tea froyo! Why have like 3 flavors for chocolate?!? Simply superfluous and uncalled for!!! Conversely, YL has the best plain tart flavor I’ve ever tried for a self-serve froyo place! YL usually has a crowd of annoying boppers(you know who you are), but this location has more families — a nice change. Some folks even bring their dogs and sit outside. Also, this particular location sometimes has events where you can snag free yogurt or deals. I just read that Yogurtland will be giving out free yogurt from 4 – 7PM on February 3rd aka National Frozen Yogurt Day(if you can think of it, there’s a holiday of it…)! Prepare for a really long line, but it’ll be worth it!

I used to be completely team ice cream, but I went crazy for this place over the summer, especially with all the likeacoupon deals. It’s still pretty good now despite the freezing wind :) definitely my favorite froyo place in town: reasonable price, friendly workers, very clean You’ll be looking at about $ 3 – 5 but there are bogo coupons behind the North Davis Safeway receipts that’ll get you DOUBLE the froyo! Great variety of toppings and syrups ranging from fresh fruit and boba balls to peppermint bark and animal cookies. YUM! Don’t be shy, ask for sample cups(free froyo) And you won’t miss out on a sketch sounding flavor that’s actually delicious

Yes yes yes! I love yogurtland! I’ve been to this place countless of times and I’m surprised that I’ve never written a review! This place’s yogurt is top dog. I was skeptical the first time coming here because I’ve had bad runny, weird tasting yogurt at other places before. But after trying this place’s yogurt, I’m sold. The consistency amazing! The yogurt is thick, firm, and rich. The toppings are plentiful and the prices are affordable. And dude! They have TARO flavor! It’s like taro milk tea in yogurt form! 5 stars for that! I want to swim in a pool of taro yogurt please. Also, they have that amazing BOGO coupon! I’m in love with this place. The workers are friendly and I see them always try to keep the place tidy and clean as they wipe the yogurt machines and sweep the crumbs at the toppings bar. My one and only complaint about this place is that there’s flies!!! On various instances, I’ve seen a fly buzzing around the toppings bar. That really saddens me because the toppings that I have might have been infected with fly germs. Even if it’s only one fly, it’s still pretty gross to think about it. Fly be gone!

Yogurtland quickly became my favorite froyo shop here in Davis. What do I like about yogurtland? *They change flavors quite often *The flavors they serve are not only your regular vanilla and chocolate(although they do have those) but they serve unique flavors like chai tea; double chocolate shake; peanut butter. *The flavors actually taste true to their name *You can find BOGO coupons on the back of your Safeway receipts. If you are coming for the toppings only, I recommend you go somewhere else as they dont have too many toppings.

I can’t think of anything bad to say about their froyo as it is all spot on in the flavors. The texture is creamy and the perfect consistency– not melting as it is coming out of the dispenser as I see in lesser fro yo shops. I am addicted to their taro flavor, and New York cheesecake follows right behind it. There are a lot of BOGO coupons floating around, like the ones on the back of Safeway receipts. (+) taro (+) New York cheesecake (+) peanut butter (+) tart

Yogurtland has always impressed me with their seasonal flavors. They can always get them right on the dot! My favorite one was the summertime dragon fruit sorbet. Now that it’s fall, they have pumpkin. yay! Pumpkin pie tasted just like it should– pie! Not too heavy, but enough so that you can eat as much yogurt as you want. Come try it out before they run out! The only thing that i’m suspicious of at Yogurt land is how fresh the mochi is. I always try one before scooping them into my cup :)

Yogurtland is great choice for frozen yogurt in Davis. There are some great selections of flavor choices, and they are constantly changing to bring you more options. I guess this could be a double-edged sword as a flavor you really like one day could be gone the next. One flavor that is always constant is their plain tart yogurt. This is the staple of any yogurt place… and Yogurtland has a very good plain tart yogurt. It’s not too icy or too creamy, it does a really nice job of sitting right in the middle to give a great balance of texture. In terms of flavor, it’s on the smoother/milder side — definitely not too tart. It’s a great choice for people who want a good tasting base for their toppings. The other flavors that are available fall into smoother or icier camps. Smoother flavors on the menu consist of their chocolate options, strawberry, and cheesecake flavors. More tart options would include the strawberry lemonade and the now gone Marvin the Martian flavor. Dang, I miss that flavor!!! It was sooo good! In terms of toppings, Yogurtland gives you a wide selection of choices… including lychee! I was so happy when I saw there were fresh lychee fruits available! For those not in the know, lychee is an Asian fruit that has a slightly sweet flavor with a chewy texture. I love it, and there aren’t many places around that give you this topping. Other favorites of mine are the popping boba balls and the fresh selection of standard fruit fare(strawberries, mangos, blueberries). In terms of décor, Yogurtland looks great! It’s very vibrant, colorful, and clean. I hope it stays this way as the years go on. A flavored water container is available for customers… that’s a really cool touch! Love this little detail. I’d definitely recommend going to Yogurtland if you’re looking for some frozen yogurt in Davis, it’s one of the best in town!

I’m bitter about the Trader Joe’s(located a 2-minute walk away from where I lived during my 4 years at Davis) being completed right after I graduated. Also pretty bitter about all the options they now have at the DC that they didn’t have while I was there… And the recital hall that I will never get to play in. …But bitterness aside, I love Yogurtland. Of all the frozen yogurt places I’ve been to, it’s probably my favorite, so imagine my happiness when I discovered that there was one in Davis?!(Apparently there’s one in my hometown now too, but I’ll get to that.) I’ve very much missed frozen yogurt. They don’t have it where I usually live(aka where I live when I’m not back for vacation). Alright, correction: they have it there, but it’s more like soft serve. I like the tart kind that you can only seem to get on the east and west coasts(being landlocked makes me sad sometimes). My former roommate(I try to resist change by being her weekend roommate whenever possible) told me she’d buy me all the frozen yogurt I wanted if I’d do all her dishes, which was something I’d been planning on doing anyway, so – best deal ever! :D We came here on a Friday afternoon. The owner(?) is supersuper friendly and very attentive, but not overbearingly so. He let us sample any of the flavors/toppings, suggested his favorites and told us that the middle lever between each two flavors was a swirl of the two and that they’d tried to pair the swirled ones with flavors that they thought would match. I wanted to try a little of everything, so I had the guava grapefruit sorbet, dragon passion tart(I usually hate dragonfruit although I’d love to love it, but this was awesome), and the new york cheesecake/chocolate twilight swirl with various fruits and a couple of those popper thingys(they’re basically like bursts of flavor). I think this is one of the cheaper froyo options in Davis. They also had complimentary strawberry-infused water in the corner by the door, which was nice because it was a pretty hot day. :O Come check this place out! :]

Dammit I am tired of reviewing Fro Yo joints. As the 6th fro yo place to come to Davis since I was a freshman 5 years ago, Yogurtland has the best quality, most flavors, and freshest toppings. They host at least 10 flavors, compared to Yoloberry’s 5 – 6 and the fruit is usually pretty fresh. So why does Yoloberry get 5 stars and Yogurtland 4? Atmosphere. Getting Yoloberry is almost a social outing; you go out with friends, change out of your sweatpants because you might see someone you know, and sit out on the lawn, and watch drunk fools walk by on their way to frats. However, tucked away in between Dos and a salon, Yogurtland to me is just: Meh, I want something sweet that tastes good.

Finally, there’s a frozen yogurt shop at the Marketplace! The flavors are pretty exotic: dragon passion tart, guava grapefruit sorbet, toasted coconut, fresh strawberry, New York cheese cake, chocolate twilight and plain tart. It’s a self serve service so you grab a cup and pour as many yogurt flavors your heart desires followed by toppings of your choice and pay at the counter. This business as of today is only Six days old and the employees are still learning by encountering new situations on a daily basis so please bare with them.
