Beautiful grounds, wonderful wines and very well-informed, friendly service. The wine club is a little more relaxed than many wineries: you simply have to buy 12 bottles of any of their wine each year. You get free tastings for four at least six times a year and they pour anything they have available/open. After tasting many of their wines, they brought out a Pinot from their library that was outstanding and sold for ~$ 225. Their rose wine is an excellent wine for sipping on the deck in the summer sun.

Xavier was our host and he was awesome. Having been to Napa, Sonoma, Santa Barbara/paso Robles wine country numerous times, the pinots here are some of the best we have ever tried. We opted for the estate flight and was floored by the Chardonnay. We are not Chardonnay drinkers and it takes a spectacular chard for us to get excited and this was that wine. Xavier saw how much we loved the chard and poured us another one to compare, which was a lovely touch. We then launched into pinots and one after the other were just amazing. Xavier poured us some from the club member line as well as from the premier line and we enjoyed them all. We ended up with 6 bottles of wine. Yes, they are expensive, but they were So Good and so worth it. Xavier truly catered to what we were looking for and offered us wines that he thought we would like. He was a pleasure to taste with and we will definitely be back. This stop is a must in my book.

Cons: stuffy, spendy, oversized, cold, non welcoming, etc. Pros: Beautiful architecture, beautiful plot, beautiful scenery. The place was empty, I could see why with all of the other options in the area. We left when we saw their prices and how dead it seemed inside.

My girlfriend and I visited Domaine Serene on Monday. We were looking for a little getaway, and we were thrilled with our visit! The grounds are beautiful, as is the villa. We started with a wine tasting, and then decided to get a glass. One glass led to purchasing a bottle and a tasting plate with some cheese, fruit, nuts, crackers, and charcuterie. The environment was fantastic, and the staff, particularly Olga, was extremely knowledgeable and polite. The whole experience made for a great afternoon and would definitely go again.

I made the reservation for a tour and tasting before checking Unilocal. After seeing the reviews I wanted to cancel it, especially since tour and tasting was 80 bucks. But my husband really wanted to go and I’m glad we did. We did the private tour led by Leah which was awesome. She was laid back, allowed us to personalize the tour the way we wanted and she was super knowledgable. Sure the pours weren’t huge but she let us revisit what we wanted(one of the wines twice) and to make it even better she gave me two pieces of chocolate. Wines were amazing and the facility is gorgeous

Came here last Saturday over Thanksgiving weekend. It was one of the lowest rated wineries on Unilocal that we tried. Aside from it being a little pricier than some of the other wineries, we really liked this place. I am always a fan of places that offer full tastings at one time while seated. Reservations were highly recommended for the Thanksgiving weekend but we got lucky and hit a slow time and got seated right away. It was $ 20 for a flight that my husband and I split. It came with 6 wines to taste and a good tasting plate with apples, cheese and popcorn. I really enjoyed the tasting plate and the advice from our waitress of what items paired best with each wine. I loved their wines, we ended up with 3 on our way out. A little disappointing they didn’t waive the tasting fee but we really enjoyed being able to sit and enjoy the wines without feeling rushed or crowded at a tasting bar. The grounds were beautiful and everyone was very friendly. I definitely suggest this place to anyone in the area with time to spend around their grounds.

I thoroughly enjoyed Domaine Serene’s Grand Cheval. It’s an interesting Pinot Noir and Syrah blend. I couldn’t leave without it.

There are many wineries to choose from but they are my favorite winery in the Williamette Valley. I’ve been there both in summer and in Fall. Both times have been wonderful. Wine– great Pinot noir of different years and different notes. I’m not a fan of very light pinots and they have some good medium bodied ones. I usually prefer to get a glass instead of the tasting. Food– amazing cheese board! They serve Olympic provisions meat and 4 different kinds of cheese with nuts and some berry with spice jelly. It complements the wines beautifully. Cheeses are fresh and cater to everyone’s palates. Staff– very helpful and friendly. We are not wine connoisseurs but they took their time to explain each wine to help us decide. I love the mammoth on their grounds and how accessible the vineyards are to the outdoor seating area. I will keep going back!

Domaine Serene has a beautiful tasting room and grounds on Hilltop Lane in Dundee Hills. Customer service was good and helpful. Overall, though, I was not super impressed with the Pinots especially for the cost. They were solid, but not worth $ 80/bottle. I was pleasantly surprised by the rose which was really exceptional. Nice winery to visit though.

Five stars for beauty and elegance of the property and tasting room. Four– for being pricey. $ 20 dollars to taste four wines in 1 ounce pours. The bottles run from $ 35 to $ 80. We had been to Willamette Valley about four years ago. Wineries are now getting very Napa-like in fancy tasting rooms, tasting fees, and per bottle pricing. Which is fine if you expect it and bring plenty of money! The beauty of the area is second to none though, that helps!

Great winery. Splurge for the tour, their property is beautiful and it gives you an all access and insight into wine making. This comes with a tasting, and is by appointment only. Call ahead. Wines are not cheap, nor tastings. Not for the budget wine connoisseur.

How anyone could give this place less than 5 stars is beyond me. We came up from Paso Robles and were floored! The wine is absolute top notch, as is the service and the location. If you like Burgundian style Pinot, Montrachet style Chard, and Bandol style rosé, this is the best in Oregon. Absolute meticulous winemaking. Olga & Mark rock the tasting room with poise and personality. Loved it!

Grounds were nicely landscaped and well manicured walkway to the tasting room. However, there doesn’t seem to be enough space for more than 3 small groups at the bar, I wasn’t the only group that was just sitting around wondering what we’re supposed to be doing. Anyway, the environment was really nice if you enjoy taking a peaceful sit down afternoon. We were a bit restless hence we left just as another big group was coming in(again, not sure how they were going to be served given the lack of space at the bar).

As others said this is a classy place. Very Napa-esque, if you’re into that(I’m not). I liked the bonus Rose pour. Their Pinots are definitely solid. The vibe was okay, not that friendly and inviting, but the woolly mammoth is a must see.

We had a wonderful experience at Domaine Serene. Beautiful setting, good wine, and a very engaging and knowledgeable tour guide. I didn’t encounter issues with poor service but did pre-book the Exquisite Oregon Wines Experience($ 60), so they went above and beyond. We were offered a glass of «R» rosé while we waited for the rest of the tour group. I’m a fan of dry rosé, but this one didn’t click with me. While we waited some more, I was offered the 2011 Etoile Chardonnay and enjoyed that better. This was a light and crisp French style of Chardonnay. The rest of the tour group never arrived, so we had a private tour with our party of two. Score! We were a given glass of the 2011 Yamhill Cuveé Pinot Noir to enjoy while on the tour. It happened to be 70s and sunny, and our guide invited us to the top of the tower(got a leg workout in!) to enjoy the great weather. The tour covered the building design, Willamette Valley history, background of Domaine Serene and the owners, and their wine making process. It was a great behind-the-scenes, and we saw the wine makers and bottlers at work. After the tour was a seated tasting of 5 wines. We also ordered the charcuterie board which was fantastic — great selection of meat, cheese, crackers, dried fruit, and chocolate. Of the wines in the tasting, the single vineyard pinot noirs were standouts, but I still preferred their Evenstad Reserve. I like blends, what can I say. We were gifted with two glasses of the 2011 Monogram at the end. That won. We got a bottle to cellar and jokingly designated it as our 10-year anniversary wine. While the service was excellent, the wine quality-price ratio makes Domaine Serene 4 instead of 5 stars for me. The pinot noirs were good and the Monogram was fantastic, but they didn’t quite live up to the price tag. I can’t help but compare to Napa, and there are better wines for that price.

Wine is $ 20 per flight. Half the amount of other winery pours. Not as yummy as others in the area.

Had an unbelievable tasting experience at Domaine Serene. The name«serene» completely describes the location. The tasting room employees are extremely friendly and make you feel right at home. Slava is the man– we may come back from San Francisco just to visit him. Really enjoyed learning about the production process and why the wine is so high quality. The wines are insanely drinkable and truly speak for themselves. Both the reds & whites were delectable and made it hard to make a purchase decision. Would recommend this winery to all wine lovers and to those looking for a memorable experience.

This is one of the most high-class wineries you’ll find in the Willamette Valley. If you’re looking to impress, look no further. With high class comes high cost. A standard tasting will run you $ 20, which is pretty steep compared to many other vineyards in the area. But having done this experience, I honestly believe that it’s worth the cost. If you’re hopping from vineyard to vineyard, I recommend starting your day here. You’ll be able to appreciate higher class and higher quality more if this is your first tasting of the day. Domaine Serene is is about as French as anything you’ll find in the Dayton/Dundee area. The location feels very much like a French countryside estate. They attempt to emulate the French winemaking process. Heck, they even import French oak barrels to age most wines in. If you are currently here and are trying to decide where to go next, White Rose Estate and Vista Hills are both very near and are both great tasting experiences as well.
