Beautiful grounds, great people and vineyard dog, and I enjoyed a Burgundian style Chardonnay.

This was our last stop on our wine tour for the day. It was a great way to end our Oregon wine tasting experience. We did show up as they were closing, so there was only one person there doing the pouring but she stayed later then she had to and was super friendly and knowledgeable about their wines. The ones here were good but no great. I enjoyed there Chardonnay which was lightly oaked. I like my aged in oak and not steel, so that is a personal preference. Their pinots were good as well. I enjoyed their Bishop Pinot which had complexity and a smooth finish. I definitely walked away with a bottle of this. Next to the wines the view is absolutely amazing. To sit there, look at Mt Hood on the horizon and enjoy a glass of pinot on a beautiful day, I couldn’t have asked for much more. Unfortunately we did not get a chance to enjoy their olive oils. Maybe next time.

An absolutely beautiful vineyard! Their tasting flight is generous and the staff is incredibly friendly & knowledgable. Spend a wonderful Sunday afternoon here, sipping and taking in the breath-taking views! Highly recommend making the stop.

What a fun, and beautiful little winery! We had a private lunch & tour here, so we really had some time to explore and snoop around. For the lunch, they had us setup under their wisteria archway by the lavender fields — such a beautiful setting! The catering wasn’t them, but it was fabulous anyway. Paul(owner’s son) was our tour guide, so it was great to not only learn about the family winery, but the other stuff they do — like olive oil! We got to walk around with Paul through the vineyards as well, and tasted wines along the way. And such a beautiful day for a tour as you can see from the photos! Before we left, we had time to shop in the gift shop & tasting room and buy wines to bring home if we wanted. I was impressed with how accommodating they were to our packing needs — most everyone I was with was wanting to get one of their special shipping boxes so the wine could be checked as luggage on the flight home, and they were running back and forth to storage to get whatever we wanted! They have a huge lawn area with comfortable chairs out by their tasting room. I could see it being really fun to pack a picnic, and just hang out here all afternoon!

Great stop till I got home and read my receipt. Realized I send $ 100.00 on two bottles of wine and they didn’t comp my tasting fee. I understand its just $ 10.00.

Absolutely beautiful view, great wine at a reasonable price, a nice craftsman style tasting room with fireplace and Jim and Aaron in the tasting room are the best ! We love bringing friends here for wine tasting as they also have olive oil samples, a very nice nursery and gift shop and you can get a nice snack plate to enjoy with your wine. Highly recommended.

The wine was delicious. Pinot Noir was perfectly balanced and the whites, which I usually don’t drink, were delicious. So much so, that I joined as a member! I’m looking forward to my first shipment in October.

Beautiful! I have been up to Red Ridge before, but never to the tasting room. We loved the wine so much so that we joined their wine club. There is a beautiful patio with seating and fantastic views of the vineyard. Perfect place to take a picnic. I could spend all day here! The Red Ridge store has olive oil tasting and lavender products that they make. Yeah, did I mention that they also have an olive orchard, and make their own olive oil? Perfect — don’t miss this place.

My favorite vineyard in the area. The scenery is stunning, with plenty of outdoor seating to enjoy the views. The wine is very good and reasonably priced. They also have olive oil tasting and a sampling of different kinds of salts, along with a beautiful nursery. Of the five vineyards we visited today, this is by far my favorite. This stop is a must.

I went here for the first time a week ago with some friends! Seeing as the Willamette Valley is just a quick drive from Portland, I try to take advantage of it and drive down as often as I can. I had heard a lot of wonderful things about the vineyard, wines, and olive oil tastings, so I knew I wanted to make Durant a stop! It was our first stop and I had made an appointment for 11:15, trying to get an early start to our day. We ended up hitting immense traffic and were an hour late! But upon arrival Jodi, a staff member, had welcomed us with a becoming smile and hospitality to match! We had a quick flight of several of their delicious wines and talked about the history and vineyard location! The Bishop Vineyard Pinot Noir was to die for and I am still regretting not taking a bottle home. The vines are Pommard and were some of the first planted in the area! Shortly after that we had a lovely tour of their nursery, olive oil plant, and the gift shop. My friends and I are still raving about the tour, our lovely guide(Jodi) and our experience there. If you are heading to the Dundee area and want a view, experience, and great wines Durant is a must see location! Thank you so much Durant, cannot wait to come back and visit!

Thoroughly enjoyed the Pinot Gris as well as the 2012 Pinot Noir. Aaron treated us quite well. Perfect place to enjoy a view of the Willamette Valley, great wines, a bite to eat and a welcoming staff.

What a gem! Vino & olive oil tastings, they have olives growing on-site, as well as a charming nursery & manicured gardens, plus a tasting room with top notch views. Plan to picnic and spend a good chunk of time to fully enjoy the property. Delightful.

A wave of déjà vu swept over me as I walked in. Then it came to me; we had an awesome Unilocal Elite event here a couple of years ago. It was good to be back! This was a great way to wrap up a fantastic day of wine tasting on our Embrace Oregon wine tour. The grounds, the view and just the entire property, everything is beautiful. The wines are all delicious and the folks here are friendly and welcoming. What’s not to like? The pinot gris was the winner in my book, I am kicking myself for not buying a bottle when I had the chance as I think it would have gone well with Thai food, which I also love. I suppose I will just have to come visit Durant Vineyards again and this time, snag a bottle of that pinot gris. At $ 18.00 a bottle, it was reasonably priced. When at Durant, wander over to the adorable Red Ridge Farms boutique for some olive oil and balsamic vinegar tasting — so good! I see another wine tour is in my future and I’ll most certainly call upon Embrace Oregon. 2014 — Review # 13

–W-onderful wine. –I-ncredible views. –N-ice tasting room. –E-xcellent service. Durant Vineyards was the first stop of the day on our wine tasting adventure. My first impression was that setting was beautiful. The backdrop of picturesque views overlooking the sunny valley was a terrific way to start the day. The tasting room is spacious, as well as simple and elegant. Service was terrific. After our wine tasting, we ventured over to the next building for olive oil tasting. Apparently, they are one of the largest olive oil producers in the Pacific Northwest. There are a variety of olive oils to sample, and the staff are friendly and welcome any questions about their products. BOTTOMLINE: A great experience overall at Durant Vineyards.

This place was great, friendly people and good wine! The views were amazing as well. We happened to stumble upon this place but sure glad we did! Their 2012 Pinot Gris was killer, and this coming from a non-white drinker. So good that I had to check my suitcase for the flight home to accommodate by precious bottles of PG!

We stopped by today and was treated to an olive oil tasting and chocolate tasting! Didn’t try the wine(next time) but thorougly enjoyed the others. The new tasting room is gorgeous! Love the views. Chocolate was super good, by a local company called Smitten, with delicious combinations of vanilla, caramel, bourbon, sea salts — so good! Everyone was very nice!
