Has not been «Pug’s» for years. It’s successor, Chicago Gyros and Dogs, has moved from this location.
I had never tried the former but had tried the latter several times. It was pretty good.

It’s the real thing. A really good Chicago style dog.
I was a little disappointed by the italian Beef sandwiches, but they’re still pretty decent.

Dayton, OH
The *only* place in Dayton to get an authentic Vienna Beef hot dog. Oh my goodness. This is the real thing — pickle spear, green relish, sport peppers, mustard (*no* ketchup!), and sesame seed bun, all steamed and served with fries. Good prices. They also have Beef sandwiches and Gyros. Chili cheese dogs too. Small place, but I never miss a week stopping by to get one of these.
