Rusty Bucket Restaurant and Tavern

Tried this place for the first time today and I’m a new fan! Everything was tasty, good gluten-​free menu, good service. Husband and I will be back for the peel and eat shrimp, patio and maybe a dirty martini next time!

My hubby and I came in for dinner and a few beers I had ordered the Shrimp Scampi meal. I was suprised when it was way too hot (spicy) for my taste. The servers came to my rescue and made me a new plate without the red peppers. It was delicious! Want to thank them so much for doing this for me!

Pretty basic. It’s not BAD, just not special.
We started with the slider app. Four sliders come with some fries. Not bad. Would be a good meal if someone chose to go that way.
Husband got the bacon cheeseburger. He said it was good, but has had better.
I got the chicken finger BLT. The batter on the chicken fingers is really thick and makes it somewhat difficult to eat.
Again, the food is not bad. But it’s somewhat unimaginative.

Went in for some late night drinks and some light food. The food was great so was the service. Nice atmosphere. Good location.

My wife and I decided to try this place out today, we went in got seated right away. And then service didn’t even exist from there. Sat there almost 15 min without waiter/​waitress ask the host she took our drink orders and still no service or drinks. So got up walked out and came across the street… WILL NEVER GO BACK!

Great beer selection and good service. My coworker and I each ordered one of their speciality pizzas. While they weren’t bad, the crust/​dough didn’t taste that good. Not sure if they even make it from scratch. Toppings were decent. Beer selection made up for the meh pizza.

My first visit. I dined for lunch with a friend who is an avid fan and chose our lunch place. Waiter was Aaron.
We started off with fried pickles. I prefer pickle chips, but this was a large portion of spears. They were ok, batter didn’t really have a taste and we were given ranch to dip them in so they had SOME flavor. Agsin, they weren’t bad, but nothing to brag about IMHO.
I was lost trying to choose an entrée and the waiter suggested fish and chips. He said they sell that more than anything else. Not something I would normally order, but since he suggested it, I thought I would give them a try. My friend said she loves the Ahi Tuna Wrap, but was up for something new as well and also got the fish and chips. We were glad we did, it was REALLY good. The fish was cooked perfectly, the batter was light and crispy and the portion was HUGE. The fries weren’t great, but there was so much fish it didn’t matter because you didn’t need them. It also comes with Cole slaw but I prefer creamy Cole slaw and this barely had any dressing on it. I took a bite, but didn’t feel the need to have any more.
I would go back here again by my own choice. It was vlean, food was decent and staff was friendly. My only suggestion would be to have a paired down menu for lunch. Maybe offer half portions? They did have a daily «blue plate special «also.

Unfortunately 3 stars are 2 to many!
I really like the salmon salad (when it is prepared properly)
But due to wet and soggy lettuce I have only been able to eat it 1 of the 3 times I have ordered it!
The first time the manager only offered to let the kitchen know about the problem. The second was great so I assumed the situation to be corrected.
The third time was the worst! So I saved the uneaten salad to show, the exact same manager, that it in fact had not been corrected!!! So this time he apologizes to me and says he will take the salad off our bill with the assurance of making the kitchen aware that this was a problem that needed to be fixed!
I have little faith in this happening due to the fact that the management did not deliver any kind of customer service nor removed the price of the uneatable salad!
So I will no longer be a customer!!!

Our go-​to place for casual, comfy atmosphere and always quality food. Build your own pizza, soup of the day, cod sandwich, salads … All top notch!

A friend and I were seated as soon as we walked in at 5:00 o’clock. There were only a few tables seated. A server waiting the three boothes next to ours made eye contact several times but never acknowledged us. Five minutes after we were seated the booth behind me was seated. At five twenty we asked the hostess if there was a server in our section she went back and a server followed shortly behind passed our table and went to the table behind us. Thirty plus minutes after being seated still with not even drinks we walked out. There were servers standing around laughing and talking and the manager was wondering around an alnost empty restaurant. I will not be back.

I was reeling from my visit to Logan’s Roadhouse just down the road. I walked in and was greeted right away. There was a bit of a wait for a table and the ladies could tell I was struggling a bit with sore knees. One of them took me to the bar and promised to come get me when a table was ready. I sat there, ordered a Newcastle and about three minutes later, there she was again. She waited while I paid my bar bill and showed me to my table.
That was great service above and beyond.
The food was above average. Since I was drinking Newcastle, I had the fish and chips. All the staff I encountered were friendly and efficient.

Relied on Unilocal for a food location while driving on I-​75… I wanted to be in a sports bar environment with good food but not a dimly lit place with only a few small TV screens. Once again, Unilocal delivered!
Atmosphere was perfect for a Sunday afternoon. Many TVs and we were able to get the game we wanted at the TV at above our table — nice!
Service was very good and the food was above board. Seemed to have a good selection of brews to choose from on the wall board. Not sure how often the selctions may change, but a little bit for all tastes in beer.
All-​in-​all, very good. If I lived in the area, Rusty Bucket may be a frequent stop…

Great food and service. We had lunch on November 5^th and all four of us enjoyed our food. The servers and people are very friendly.

Nice place, lotsa’ TV’s, good bar service, well patronized, and the food was OK… nothing to write home about… IMHO.
I had the fish and chips, and the cod was nice, and the fries were OK, but the cole slaw (which I generically LOVE), was well… meh. Maybe because I have this stooooopid cold, I just can’t taste anything.
Great selection of brews on tap… with details about each brew… including ABV%. I had a mixed drink and the Scrimshaw (German Pilsner) on draught, and I ‘think’ it was good… again, the taste buds are off-​line with this dang cold.
I did have the ‘Sticky Bun Bread Pudding”, and that was excellent. At least I could taste THAT!
But it was nothing more than three stars overall.

Spinach con queso dip is fantastic. Had the salmon dinner tonight — delicious !
Staff is very friendly, and there are many beers on tap.

This is a nice restaurant to grab a bite and drink at. We got the spinach cheese dip. That’s was good but nothing out of the ordinary. I got the salmon salad that had spinach, strawberries, and walnuts. The salad had mostly iceberg lettuce and barley had strawberries or walnuts. Besides that the salad was good but you could get a better one a Panera bread. The chicken sandwich was huge. My friend said it was good. The bourbon drink was awesome. The Margaritas were ok, the best one was the basic margarita.

EXCELLENT experience. I sat at the bar and my bartender derek was wonderful. I was looking at the menu and another bartender answered a question I had about the veggie burger. He even went in the kitchen to confirm that the new house made veggie burgers had started! I ordered it based on his recommendation and it was very good. The good runner that brought it out also commented on how good they were and said I would love it.

An American food chain but not bad at all. Even a bit inspired, which is surprising! We walked in and the restaurant immediately smelled like fish & chips. Someone near the entrance must have ordered it, and I thought it smelled good. My toddler immediately screamed «YUCK!» but was very excited by the bowl of lollipops right at kids eye-​level at the hostess stand.
The service was friendly, and got all of our orders correct. I had the Reuben with fries and an Arnie Palmer (DELISH), I liked the marbled rye but the sandwich needed more 1000 island and sauerkraut. Kiddo ordered a hot dog and cottage cheese, surprisingly 90% of it was eaten by the time we left. Husband ordered the Coney dogs with fries and he said they were good. We are used to Detroit Coneys, but he enjoyed the Cinci style dogs.
Nothing to really complain about, the prices seemed a bit high for casual dining but our bill ended up being only $ 32 so I guess I was wrong. I can’t wait to go back to try the crab cakes, ahi tuna wrap, or mahi tacos, which all looked great on the menu.

We stopped here for lunch one afternoon while visiting my sister in Dayton. We opted for the patio seating because the AC was blasting on the inside & it was FRIGID.
Our server was very thoughtful and took good care of us. The portions of food were large and I enjoyed a delightful salad. My mother & sister enjoyed delish foods too. We ordered a Rogue Root beer float which they separated into two mini-​floats! It was ah-​mazing!
I’ll go back again. Yay for decent bar food, and good service!
