I don’t drink wine or eat chocolate so I’m really not the main demographic for this coffee shop. But they have lots of tea options and I like that. From what I understand, the chocolate covered strawberries are a hot commodity. Not really a cozy sort of place but the baristas are charming and make up for some of that. It always seems to be bustling. I give it three stars because it’s not for me. For some people, I imagine it’s heaven.

I was there on a Sunday a couple of hours before closing time. It was just me and the homie. The place was empty.
I had Chai with Brown Sugar and Cinnamon splash, and she had some olé Macchiatto that she could have gotten from Starbucks. (She’s a Starbucks addict and confessed she was reluctant to try something new. Bah!)
I enjoyed mine. She enjoyed hers.
Our Barista was very pleasant, professional, and knowledgeable.
She plans to frequently regularly, and when I’m in town, I’ll be sure to return to Winans for coffee. and maybe even some wine.

I just went to the one at the Greene and the himbo working the counter lied to me 3 times. I asked him if the chocolate bark he put in was milk and not dark. He said it was. I asked him twice more if it was and he sealed the bag and insisted it was milk. He was lying. I won’t be back.

The Buckeyes are a must have. My grandmother lives nearby and sends these to the family every year for Christmas. Every year we impatiently wait for that package because the chocolates are so good. Although I cannot speak to the cleanliness or the store or the kindness of the staff, it would take a lot for me not to recommend this place to everyone driving by. I would highly encourage you to come here and try their goods, especially the buckeyes.

This location of Ohio-based Winan’s doesn’t get enough love. There is a Starbucks on the other side that is almost always packed, while I am frequently the only person at the Winan’s. It can’t be seen from the road, but is across the street from a popular Bonefish and next door to the Rusty Bucket, so plenty of people should be aware it’s there.
With great coffee drinks at less cost than Starbucks plus chocoloate and a wine bar, you can’t go wrong. There is also outdoor seating.

Fun chocolate shop, with a liquor license! I highly suggest the wine and chocolate tasting. It is well done, and a fun way to try a new flight of wines.

I’ll have to admit that I must have driven by this shop a number of times before noticing it. It’s located next to a number of restaurants I’ve been to and when driving a few months ago seeing it for the first time I decided to try a piece of chocolate.
I’ve been back a number of times now. When in the Dayton Mall area this has become a planned stop.
I only have had a piece or two of chocolate when visiting but have always received the highest quality chocolate, making the brief stop well worth it.
I’m not a coffee drinker but when with those who are, they have told me that the coffee, like the chocolate, is outstanding

I’m not a big chocolate fan, but I love Winans chocalates.
I’m completely obsessed with the chocolate and peanut butter covered pretzels.
The caramels are so good, too!

While they do pride themselves on coffee and chocolates, I must confess that I have never tried their coffee. The chocolate is enough to keep me coming back again and again. They not only have an excellent selection of chocolates that other local chocolatiers do not offer, but they also have an excellent selection of sugar free chocolates that are delicious!
I have stopped at Winan’s for birthday presents and teacher gifts, but mostly I just stop in for their awesome sugar free peanut butter cups (only 1 net carb each!).

We were all thinking it weren’t we? What would happen if we could combine our love for wine, chocolates, and coffee? Winans would happen, that’s what. I’ve had their fine chocolates expertly suggested to me by the helpful staff behind the counter and I’ve had my fair share of their amazing coffees, but I’ve yet to make it to a wine tasting. I think they are every Wednesday afternoon from 4−9PM. This is a great place anytime, but is especially convenient on the way home from a long lunch at Bravo, Rusty Bucket, First Watch, or PF Changs.
