I am all about supporting local businesses and it took me a long time to get around to trying Zombie Dogz because I’m just not a hot dog fan… even the day I got it, it was«since I’m here, I might as well.» One bite and I was HOOKED. I am super bummed that I didn’t catch on until the end of their season but they’ll be a favorite next year. My favorite was the Grambéé which had a taco dip and cilantro sour cream and fritos. My advice is if you see their truck out and about– stop and grab one!

Dead Dixie and Mad Tiki are my favs… Sweet and savory, in the same bite. Apples on a Hot Dog??? Who thinks of that??? A genius! Have waited in line 30+ minutes for these guys! Huge dog, fresh bun, fresh INSANE toppings… If you’re ever out and see them, TRYIT! As weird as the combos sound… They WORK, be brave and you will become a Zombie follower as well ;)

And my point proven… smh… I give a very thorough and accurate account of my experience and the food truck responds EXACTLY the same way!!! Wow smh ! I had no false pretenses and to be honest … I’ve only eaten at two food trucks EVER !!! This very well might have deterred me for life! Zombiedogz … Shame on you

Many friends and coworkers have enthusiastically advertised their love of Zombie Dogz so I figured I’d trust their judgement and give it a try! After all… I’m not one to turn down a food truck. My fiancée and I ordered the«Victim #13» «Brain Daddy» and«The Greek Freak.» We found both the Brain Daddy and Greek Freak to be too overwhelmingly sweet. The BD claimed to feature habañero but it left me searching for the spice! A squirt of Sriracha may have done the trick. The GF could have benefitted from some more salty savory notes as the tomato jam was too overpowering in my opinion. Victim #13 was a looker but upon first bite I was let down with lukewarm mac and cheese and dried out chili. Based on my experience this evening I’m not sure I’d go back, but maybe I haven’t met the right Zombie Dog yet!

Definitely one of my favorite local food trucks. My favorite is the hot dog with the mac & cheese, it’s delicious! They are really good about posting their schedule, locations, and menus ahead of time, so you can plan ahead. They also include detailed descriptions about each featured dog which helps you make your decision before you even show up. This helps with the long lines. Even though they tend to be long, it goes quick because people already know what they want.

Zombie Dogz is the best. My favorite is the Hunk a Hunk a Rotting Flesh(Our tribute to the King starts with an all-beef frank, topped with bacon and pan seared bananas flambéed in banana liquor, and topped with our homemade cashew butter.) and The Mad Tiki(All beef dog, topped with our homemade tropical salsa, using mango, glazed pineapple, and strawberries, with mint and lime juice, drizzled in white chocolate toasted coconut flakes.). But seriously here’s what you do: 1. Follow them on Facebook to find a convenient place to find them. 2. Get there 15 – 30 minutes BEFORE they start for the day. 3. Get in the line that will already be forming. 4. Wait about 20 – 30 minutes minimum.(Don’t say forget it. They are worth it!) 5. Order one of each and share with a friend or 2 or 3. 6. Try not to drool all over your shirt. Oh and they have veggie dogs. According to the guy I talked to, the bun has a little bit of dairy. Otherwise, you can ask for no cheese, or any other ingredient you don’t want.

Zombie dogs is AWESOME! They have some of the most creative gourmet hot dogs. Also have veggie dogs to accommodate for our vegetarian friends. Like their Facebook page so you know where they’re going to be stationed!

It’s just okay… I’ve only every tried the BBQ with apple hot dog. I can’t remember it’s name, maybe dixie something? It was good, I’ve never thought to put fresh crunchy apples to lighten up a BBQ dish but my biggest issue was with the bun. It was just huge, and dry, and not that great. Not to mention it’s a mobile restaurant, it’s not worth tracking down in my opinion. On the other hand, their service was fabulous and the people are really wonderful.

Best Dogz in Dayton or Chicago!!! Deli dogs only the undead could dream up!!! If you see them in a parking lot, food truck rally or a festival they are worth waiting in line for!

Run, run, RUN and get in line when you track this truck down!!! I tried Hunka Rotting Flesh and it was the most delicious hot dog I have ever had. I would have never thought the toppings would taste so amazing on a hot dog. I will wait rain or shine, how ever long it takes to get my hands on another one.

After missing them at the Cyclops Fest in 2013, I thought I would try again this year. One would think that a line that runs about 25 people deep would offer a product that would be worth the wait. Not the case. The bread is decent but dominates each bite. The toppings — or combinations — lack original vision. Rather, they seem to be flavor and ingredient mashups that end up being lackluster at best. I sampled three different hotdogs today, each left something to be desired. I was battling to get a balanced bite each time. The toppings didn’t mesh with what I am assuming is an all beef dog. .. they didn’t really disclose what meat they use. Finally, «gourmet» ??? gourmet what? I ordered a hotdog that supposedly had roasted corn. It was canned. No doubt. Let me just say, this is Ohio. If you have pride about anything, it’s corn. Why lie about roasting corn?! I left feeling like the zombie in Zombie Dogz is your customer base.

I had the KILLERGUAGE, buffalo chicken, blue cheese crumble, diced celery, zig zagged across the top blue cheese dressing. OMG! Huge and delish! Good deal for $ 5.00. Dirty chips very good. They do take credit cards. I waited in line behind probably 25 – 30 people. I felt like the line went fast. Will def be back!

Ok, I can’t tell you how much I love this food trailer. They are creative and inventive when it comes to their menu. The food is great and I have never ever been disappointed. I only wish they had a widget or something on their website to help follow where they will be next. Sometimes only accessing their location by Facebook is difficult. This is just a suggestion. Looking forward to my next dogz… also waiting for the food challenge dogz again… i’m ready to win.

Always worth the drive! Recently had the Sho Stopper. Bulgogi beef, Asian slaw, sriachi, and crushed peanuts over an all beef hit dog — absolutely delish! The Dead Dixie is a very close second. Honestly, it’s really hard to choose!

Not your typical hot dog toppings, but that’s what makes Zombie Dogz so uniquely wonderful! Fresh ingredients, friendly staff, and a tasty meal at at good price. Get there early for best selection of toppings, there’s always a huge line for this food truck and once they run out it’s gone.

OHMYGOD yes! This food truck is guilty pleasure heaven. The first time I ate here my boyfriend and I stalked the heck out of this truck to track it down. We tried the Hunk a Hunk a Rotting Flesh and the Sliced and Diced. These were the only ones left, they run out quickly and I can see why. These hot dogs are huge and creatively delicious. We also tried the grilled peaches with marscapone cheese. This is one of the very best thins I have ever eaten. Order it. For sure.

This was my first chance to try a Zombie Dog. We were having a family fun day at our church that included several food trucks but I had heard lots of good things about ZombieDogz, so it was a no-brainer(pun intended). I couldn’t make up my mind and pick just one so I tried the«Blood graffiti» and«the nibbler». First of all, they were just $ 5 each and they were HUGE. I would never order two again… but a great value. The Blood Graffiti was incredible. Think of it as a pizza around a hot dog in a great bun. Homemade marinara sauce, pepperoni, and mozzarella cheese. So big I couldn’t bite through all of it in one bite. The Nibbler was great too. Basically their take on a chili dog and it was delicious too! It was even more difficult to get one bite to get it all. They did add a nice twist of bacon to it. I would have liked a little cheddar cheese on it but their muenster cheese worked pretty good. Overall, an AWESOME dog! Will be trying more in the future for sure!

I saw this truck by chance when they were temporarily parked at the oakwood arrow wine. I tracked them down after reading their menu and other reviews. What an outstanding hotdog. It was really good. I got the nibbler, which has chili, cheese, mustard and onions on it. It was a very good-sized dog and was definitely priced well at $ 5. Some of their other selections looked really good too. I’ll be following them on a regular basis. Best dog I’ve had in a long time.

I love that I can find gourmet hotdogs in Dayton. I didn’t expect this for at least another decade. Zombie Dogz typically offers 4 – 6 items off of their extensive menu of dogs per event( ). This means that you’ll more than likely have to chase them down a few times to try all the ones you’d like. Challenge accepted. I ordered Calling in Dead and Lifeless Soul(see photos). My advice: ARRIVEEARLY. After waiting in line for about 30 minutes, I had finally decided to order Juan of the Dead, BUT they literally ran out ONEPERSON ahead of me. Just devastating. The truffle mac’n’cheese was tasty, but could have used a touch more truffle oil(I love my truffle oil). They could have been a little heavier-handed on the portion of mac as well. The all-beef frank and bun were of good quality overall. They’ve apparently only been operating for a few months. There’s room for improvement but it appears as if they take constructive feedback seriously. If all goes well, perhaps we’ll see a more permanent location in the works? *crosses fingers*
