One of our favorite breakfast places when we are on at Daytona for bike events. The food is plentiful, filling and delicious. The Bloody Mary’s hit the spot. The atmosphere is definitely not boring. As I sit and look at the cinnamon buns as it beckons me… I recommend the Greek mix.

This place is hands down one of the best breakfast joints in DB! They make their own pastries and breads and they’re out of sight good! Cinnamon rolls seriously HUGE. Like even shockingly big for grown men to comment on how big they are! Their food is awesome! I’ve only eaten breakfast here but everything I’ve gotten myself or tried is amazing! Their service is awesome and super friendly especially for such a busy joint! It’s a must if you’re in town! Oh and the hash brown casserole puts all others to shame!

Very disappointed given the recommendations and the line out the door. The wait to sit wasn’t terrible but the wait for the food was excruciating. FINALLY comes and I have cold almost raw sausage. Send it back — even more raw and still not hot. Said No Thanks. Pancakes were okay, a bit thin with leftover grill stuff on it. Plenty of weak coffee though. Eggs with meatloaf — eh. Not terrible. Home fries were hot but lacking flavor. Skip the potato pancake– basically mashed potatoes that were grilled. Won’t be back. Found the true gem on the beach… Keep looking.

You won’t leave hungry! They lived up to their rep as the«best breakfast place in town». Vacationed in Daytona for 10 days during Speedweeks, ate breakfast at a different place each day, and Mike’s was #1 for breakfast in my book. Huge portions! My fiancé had the big Mike’s breakfast, and it was the first time all week he was not able to clean his plate. I had the grilled meatloaf breakfast. Very good, something different. Everything was prepared correctly and tasted good. The wait staff was friendly and attentive. Will definitely come back next time we’re in town!

Simple place with excellent home cooked food. Casual waitresses are fun and have big smiles. The food is just good. Had breakfast. Between the group we had omelettes, pancakes, scrambled eggs and all the sides I think. Great!

I asked for scrambled eggs, but wet(just cooked less. I don’t like them rubbery). The eggs were a rubbery solid mass, and I’m pretty sure the cook… poured water onto them… I sent them back. It was weird.

This is my new favorite breakfast place in Daytona Beach, and perhaps in all of Florida(and believe me, I have been to many over the last 40 plus years)! Located in a strip tucked between a tattoo place, a bar, a laundromat and a pizza place, you are just not going to get better! Before our last trip, I of course checked Unilocal and again, believe the Unilocalers! They know! This place is fantastic and has something for everyone! They are open from 7am-2am and breakfast was to die for! The picture I posted of the Florentine Benny and the smoky omelet just don’t do justice to the freshness and taste! Our waitress was incredibly friendly and personable and instantly made us feel at home! We even took one of their larger than the size of your head cinnamon buns to go for the kids. It will easily take them a full day to eat it! Definitely a must do and we will be back!!! Y-U-M!!!

We stopped in here for a quick bite before heading out of town and it was nice and large. The people working there are very friendly and the portions are quite large. There is a section in the middle full of the fresh warm pastries so choose from. We split a turkey eggs Benedict and a side order of corned beef cash. The turkey is fresh roasted and pulled from the bird and was by far the highlight of our experience. We ordered it on a fresh baked biscuit for a change. They told us the corned beef hash was homemade and not canned but that was incorrect. The hash brown casserole did leave a bit to be desired. Overall if I came back here I would get something else with that fresh pulled turkey but maybe skip the rest. The place is a bit too big and spread out and has an awkward general store attached with a bird that chirps nonstop as people walk by it.

I love good simple down-home food served fast, by friendly real people, and this place is all that! The pancakes were awesome, the coffee was good, and the service was friendly and attentive. Plus they are good cheap eats… in a little surfer-style beach joint.

Mike & Rhonda have been cooking breakfast for me ever since they were part of Captain’s Quarters Inn. Every dish, every meal, every cup of coffee I have ever had there has been above average, Mike’s cinnamon rolls are about the size of a catcher’s mitt, so you might want to get that to go. Standard breakfast fare: eggs, anyway you like, hash browns, sausage bacon, ham toast. Always friendly service from Rhonda, who sometimes is Mike’s only backup. everytime I visit Daytona, and it’s never enough, I have a little ritual on the weekends. On Sunday, I swing by Mikes for a coffee and a cinnamon roll, and then head off to the drive-in church. It’s all about the experience. Love you Mike and Rhonda. hope to see you next year! oh Lord, I forgot to mention the pecan french toast.

Probably the best place you can get breakfast at in Daytona! When we were visiting for 5 days we went here 3 of those days for breakfast. I got the crab cake benedict the first time we went, and it was on point with fresh crab. My wife enjoyed the oversized super cinnamon bun. The next 2 visits we tried the pancakes and more traditional breakfast of eggs, bacon, etc. A great meal each time.

Best breakfast so far in Daytona! The wait staff are friendly, they have low cut tshirts and sing to the radio with daisy dukes! But settle down they are all over 30! The meatloaf breakfast with potato cake was excellent! The chicken fried steak and biscuits and gravy were spot on! Real sausage gravy! We will be back next time in Daytona :)

Best breakfast place in Daytona, hands down. They always give you enough food. It’s usually pretty busy because everyone loves this place. Also they have their own bakery where they make fresh baked good every day. By noon, the entire bakery is pretty much sold out.

This was our second visit to Mike’s Galley and the food was very good. I was shocked at the size of the cinnamon rolls and we got one for the entire table of six. Please see the picture. Our last visit the service was outstanding and on the second visit our server was surly and acted like we were bothering her however the server at the next table was wonderful and tended to our needs quickly promptly and with kindness. When this was reported to the manager she was extremely receptive and kind and assured me I wouldn’t receive that server ever again at my table. Good for her! I would definitely recommend this restaurant to visitors and locals alike.

I normally love little mom & pop, off the beaten path places so I was fully prepared to be blown away by this place. Walking in there’s just a big group of people waiting to be seated. Not a lot of organization, just standing around and waiting. I finally spotted 2 seat at the bar(yep, there’s a full bar at the breakfast place. Took 10 min to get a coke, 10 more minutes to place an order. We received our food SEVENTY(70) minutes later. It wasn’t just us, no one was eating. It was odd though, there was really no rhyme or reason to the process. Wile we waited 70 minutes there were people coming in and getting food in 10 minutes. It’s HOT in here. There is no air conditioning. July 6 in Daytona Beach, air conditioning is a necessity, not a luxury. The entire restaurant looked like it needed to be torn down and restarted. Dated, dirty and sticky. My meal: Scrambled eggs-burnt Bacon– cheap and thin Toast– thick, UNTOASTED bread soaked with fake butter It gets better, as we are eating a roach crawls right over the bar in front of us. Blech! I will never step foot in this place again. The only redeeming quality is that all the staff were very friendly.

I’m typically skeptical of anything that claims they are the best of anything, but I think Mike’s Galley’s claim of being the best breakfast in town might be spot on. I tried the cinnamon French toast. Delicious! My husband tried the Philly Mix in that came with hash browns with cheese and onion. The hash browns were the best part of the meal. The one thing we didn’t try — belly not big enough — was the giant cinnamon bun that are easily the size of a human head. They looked great though! Service here was phenomenal. Very friendly and welcoming! If I ever find my way back to Daytona Beach we will make a stop at Mikes.

In Daytona? Mikes mess for breakfast! Awesome combination, well deserved success story! Perhaps not the place for eggs Benedict but an inexpensive excellent plate ‘o food. Super biscuits. Really delicious and really good attentive service. I learned about this place on siriusxm #Bennington show and Man am I glad I followed up!

Love this place. You get a lot of food for low price. Definitely try the donuts or cinnamon role. I ate the Blt w fried egg and my boyfriend had eggs, corn beef hash, and cinnamon toast. Everything was delicious.

My expectations are always high when trying out a new breakfast place, especially one that receives the kind of reviews Mike’s has managed to accumulate. This is a very large diner that has expanded its space several times and now occupies most of the small strip mall. I am not so sure that the kitchen infrastructure or cooking expertise supports the extremely large dining area. The service was solid there seems to be plenty of servers dealing out the dishes and pouring fresh coffee, no long lines or long waits to get a table or booth, but from this customer’s view the ability to seat a large volume of people only increase the pressure to perform and provide good quality food. This is where I think Mike’s struggles the food in my opinion is not prepared with any passion its just a job to fill the orders of the masses that dine here and turn over the tables, so don’t expect a small diner experience. I think this diner’s survival will depend more on the tourist trade than the loyalty of the locals. The coffee was hot, tasty and plentiful, biscuits and gravy were very forgettable nothing special or remotely spectacular, the eggs were scrambled dry and over-cooked, the pancakes were definitely a disappointment it appears the flat-top grill wasn’t cleaned prior to pouring on the batter the pancakes had charred specks in them and were severely over-cooked. It goes back to poor kitchen management and a lack of skills in the kitchen. So the rating is just okay more of a 2.5 I think I will keep looking for that special place.
