The music was good and the steak was pretty tasty, but the shrimp dish I ordered was terrible and the shrimp appetizer had way too much breading. I won’t be going back but if you’re in the mood for Brazilian music and dancing it’s an ok place.

What a great place, with such a positive energy! Went there while on vacation in the area recently, a band was playing Brazilian music, really enjoyed listening to the music and watching Brazilians dancing to their native songs. Check out their website or Facebook page as they have different types of live music most nights of the week. We arrived later in the night and didn’t eat, but tried my first caipirinha drink(like a mojito, but better) yum! Owners were there and so welcoming and friendly, as was all the staff. Definitely give it a try when in Deerfield, a fun place to go!

Excellent!!! Great atmosphere. Great food. Great Service. Great Vibe! This would be a regular stop for me if I lived in Miami. No complaints!

A small spot with a feisty atmosphere and delicious food. We started off with the cod fritters and the ceviche; both were very good. The crispy red snapper was huge and fried perfectly. The fish was flaky and succulent. The Moqueca De Peixe was a fish and shrimp stew in a tomato coconut broth, it was delicious. So falvorful and hearty. The entrees were served with rice and veggies. The sides were wonderful, the rice was awesome and the veggies were roasted baby carrots and zucchini, they were simple but amazing. This is a great spot for dinner. On a Friday night they had live music come in about 9 and it got pretty loud; so something to keep in mind if you don’t like that sort of thing.

The food is very good. I did enjoy the live music for a while. As the night wore on more people showed up and the music got louder and so did the crowd. Kind of a rough place. So be forewarned. This is definitely not a place to take children. It can get a little wild. It’s the restaurant version of a dive bar, but with good food.

What a find! We wanted fish and seafood, but not the usual and this is most definitely the place! We started with the Portuguese Clams, Mussels and Chorizo appetizer with an outrageous wine sauce that begged for bread to sop up every drop. Scottish Salmon entrée was perfectly cooked with a delightful sauce, again different from the norm but not weird. While everything was delish, the Camarao na Moranga entrée was outstanding. Shrimp in a creamy sauce baked in a baby pumpkin — unlike anything I ever had and we finished every bite including the sugary sweet pumpkin(who woulda thought?). Be prepared for a bit of noise from the music, but go for the food!

Best seafood restaurant in the Boca Raton/Deerfield beach area. Staff is so knowledgeable and helpful. Vibe is perfect from the delicious food to the perfect live music for an enjoyable meal. Drinks were amazing!!! Real Brazilian food

The bartender was pronto and nice enough to give me her attention, but that was it. Come on now! Brazilian food means bold flavors, simple but tasty dishes not in this place! To start, they charge you to park… that’s a no-no. Second there’s no one to welcome you in, although they show off as high end place kind of «wait to be seated spot». Overall the food is average, kibe dipped in oil, the whole fried snapper was $ 25 but the truth is. not even worth commenting on their food, and that’s one thing that I do know; Brazilian cuisine.

This place is just what we were looking for… something different than we normally visit. Never had real Brazilian food and this was just perfect! We loved everything we had. I started off with a Caipirinha(Brazilian drink made with cachaça, a sugar can infused liquor). The first time i heard of this was on the Today show with Natalie Morales. I believe she is originally from Brazil. My drink was strong(i’m a lightweight) and really good! Came in a small mason jar with lid to shake then drink from. Appetizers…because we had to at least try some… We had the Crab Brulee and the Ceviche. We enjoyed both. Crab brulee is basically a crab dip served in a large scallop shell with chips. The Ceviche was of course served in a Martini glass, all kinds of seafood, calamari, fish, shrimp, peppers, onions, etc. Was excellent. I have not had that much Ceviche in my lifetime, but this was probably the best i’ve had. Next was our entrees. My husband ordered the Camarão na moranga. Basically it is shrimp in a pumpkin(really a squash of some sort). Beautifully plated with 5 large shrimp sticking out of the gourd. smaller shrimp inside with the sauce. It was really tasty. I ordered the Bobó de Camarão. Came with about 9 medium shrimp around the place in sauce, rice in the middle. Was very good as well. No leftovers there. We were too full for dessert. We enjoyed this restaurant and decided we will go back to try again. Oh, although we were there early, we were told they have live music every night. They were setting up the outside patio when we were leaving.

Be careful when you go to this restaurant, they include the gratuity of 20% on the bill no matter how many people at the table and they add tip line when you are making the payment to make you pay the tip twice without noticing… staff was very rude with me when I complained about it. Tip is up to the customer to give related to the service offered… BADSERVICE!

Food and service were excellent. We had pastries which were tasty but best of all was their fish stew Great flavors and aromas from garlic and cilantro, etc.

Excellent Brazilian fish restaurant. Everything was very fresh and extremely well prepared. The whole snapper was deep fried, totally delish. Peel and eat shrimp were huge, and perfectly cooked. My husband’s fish and shrimp stew was in an amazing sauce, great for dipping my snapper in. Drinks were excellent as well, but the best was the traditional caparinia. Atmosphere is casual and it feels like a chill restaurant in a strip mall, but that’s fine with us, prefer great food and service to the tourist traps with mediocre food.

So this is not a review, as such. It is a retelling of a really bad experience, and basically a cautionary tale of how crowdsourced reviews can go horribly wrong. Also, a warning to people who are expecting a certain vibe at Barracuda Bar and Seafood. Made a reservation here using Unilocal SeatMe for last night, based on a review profile that read as a really great place for authentic Brazilian in a cozy atmosphere. What we got when we showed up? The place was loaded to the gills, people were out in front as if this was Studio 54 in 1978, and the band was rocking the place to the bones. I waded through the sea of people to try to find a server or a host to ask about my reservation, and it was clear that there was not a single seat in the place available(nor would there likely be one for quite some time.) I couldn’t find a host anywhere. I finally pushed through to the bar, got someone’s attention, and told them about our reservation. She looked at me quizzically, as if reservations were an alien concept… she walked over to someone else, talked to them, and then she looked similarly perplexed. Then they both ignored me and went to serve someone else! It was so loud and they were so far away at this point that I couldn’t even get their attention again. So I turned, walked out, and my dining partner(who was looking pretty displeased at the whole scene as well) and I decided to head elsewhere. Very disappointed. I guess the punchline here is that«Bar» in the place’s name is clearly the operative noun, and«seafood» is very much secondary.

This is an outstanding seafood Restraunt. The steak was fantastic, the tilapia was out of this world good. I gave this a ten out of ten and the price of Dinner. They have a new chef that really knows how to cook!

Can’t say enough descriptive words to describe the fabulous meal we enjoyed tonight here! The Talipia w/shrimp in cilantro sauce was so delightful! My husbands picanha was cooked perfectly w/sautéed garlic veggies. Incredible meal for a great price! I couldn’t resist the pugine for desert & it was worth every calorie! My compliments to the chef! We’ll be back!

The food was good. When we first got there, we saw a sign of specials outside, saying the caipirinhas were on the special for $ 6, then we’re told the specials were just at the bar(during the week days). I was wondering what the sign was doing outside then, but the waiter went outside and had the sign removed. Second of all I noticed when we got the check, one of the drinks was overpriced a dollar compared to the price listed on the menu, I told them and they took care of it. Overall it’s a nice place, I would say that kitchen scared me a little, but it’s okay for the price, they just need to be consistent. I will probably be back!

Amazing food and service. We hopped around several Miami seafood restaurants before landing here, and this is the best by far. We got Crab Cake Brûlée, Peel & Eat Shrimp, Coxinha, Quibe, Empanadas, buttery tomato fish stew, a house cocktail, and passion fruit mousse. Everything was crazy good– we ate it all between two ladies! Fresh ingredients and unique recipes made it special. The server also went way out of her way to bring us extra bread, keep our water full, tell us how to eat shrimp neatly, and lots more. We had a great experience, and just wish we lived closer so we could eat here all the time.

Went here for lunch. I had the fish stew. It was tasty and lunch is ½ off but smaller portions. My portion was enough to fill me up. The bartender here was the friendliest I have ever run into. With a check in you get a fried pastry. I had the crab pastry. It was ok. I not a huge fried food fan though. I would recommend a visit if in the area.

Barracuda is tucked away in the corner, a little gem, shining in the rough… somehow I feel like I’m quoting Disney here? Well, if you are a fan of Brazilian cuisine, this is a nice option, it is not strictly full of Brazilians, probably because the price isn’t that of Restaurante Brazil and you aren’t paying per lbs. But on a upside, the ambiance and soothing Bossa Nova with fresh caipirinha at hand is worth the few dollars extra. Certain nights they have live music which is such a perfect accompaniment to the overall experience. Now to the food. Flavor factor, on point. We started with Bolinho de bacalhau, basically«fish balls». Bacalhau is a portuguese tradition of salted fish, which is found in a variety of Brazilian dishes. In this appetizer, the fish was pulped with fresh herbs, breaded and deep fried, the perfect happy hour nibble with a cold beer. They were delicious and a perfect start to our evening. For entrée, I ordered my old faithful picanha(steak) topped with fried egg, yucca fries, rice and black beans. I ordered my steak medium, and honestly it came well done which was a disappointment, I rarely have a steak cooked too thoroughly at a Brazilian restaurant, but for taste factor alone, it certainly won’t put me off this wonderful hole-in-the-wall. As for my date, he ordered Moqueca de peixe, a classic from the northern part of Brazilian, basically a «fish stew». This fish dish is baked in a variety of spices, garlic, coconut milk, tomatoes, onions and palm oil. It has a specific taste, although the fish can be substituted or accompanied by shrimp. This dish came with rice and veggies. It was impressive; great flavor, even the veggies were sauteed with garlic and just downright delicious. So Barracuda, I’ll be back for the live Bossa Nova serenading the condensation dripping down the glass of my caipirinha; with a sizzling medium-rare steak in front of my face — this is quintessential happiness.

Vale a pena conhecer. Quanto ao bar pedi um camarão a Ana Maria, muito bom e preço justo! O atendimento é rápido, as pessoas são legais, o ambiente é super animado. Vale a pena conferir.
