Been to Kevin’s several times, always a good meal. Tonight I had salmon spring roll. It was great and something a little different. It was stuffed with salmon and of course when the roll is cooked so did the salmon. I would definitely try that again. Over several times coming here I have had several different sushi rolls, seaweed salad and soup. Everything is always fresh. At the sushi bar, Kevin is always there and ready and willing to chat. Staff is very friendly and helpful.

Went here last night with the wifey. Really good sushi. I’ve been eating sushi for over 25 years and the sushi is fresh quality. Rolls are pretty big. Sashimi was very good too. The tiger tear appetizer wasn’t what we expected from what we are use to. The meat was cooked instead of being raw, but it was still good. Service was attentive and very nice. It’s hard to find good sushi these days. We will definitely be back.

We had the sushi here and it was awesome! We got the Godzilla roll, shrimp tempura roll, key west roll, and rainbow roll. The rolls fell apart a little bit than can just be because I stink at chop sticks. The food came out really fast and the waitresses were so friendly and pleasant. Great local sushi place. Ill definitely be coming back to try the other food

This little sushi spot is awesome. Kevin can always be found behind the bar in front of his flatscreen most likely playing baseball or some other sport that he loves to talk about. But besides Kevin’s great personality and hospitality, you will find the best sushi in Boca/Deerfield. I high recommend trying the key west roll. And don’t be worried, Kevin gives generous portions. Fresh and well prepared.

Excellent service, everyone is very nice! The sushi was the best I have had in a long time and I love to try sushi, it was very fresh. They had interesting rolls that were not the norm, and they did a great job with them. I will definitely be back to try pineapple infused saki and some of the other menu items.

We ordered takeout. When we arrived they were ready for us. Vey attentive, prepared and friendly. We ordered 4 different rolls and 2 sides. Everything was amazing. I love that even though it was packed in styrofoam it was displayed so neatly! Very tasty & yummy! We will visit again!

Went to Kevin’s Sushi and Thai after my friend recommended it. She specifically told me to try the pineapple sake but I was so excited to eat the food that I completely forgot and just had a Sapporo and a large hot sake(regular one) instead. The sushi chef was really nice and I definitely felt like he enjoyed being there! He was smiling and talking to the customers. The sushi and the sashimi were really fresh and they had just the right amount of rice, not too much and perfectly cooked. My waitress was really nice also, and even though I set at the bar, she kept coming up to me to check if everything is ok, being that I was by myself. I will have to go back there very soon and try this famous pineapple sake! And I will probably order some Thai food next time too because I overheard a couple eating Thai sitting next to me and telling each other how delicious it was! It looked like a curry duck or something similar. It smelled delicious!

I LOVE this place!!! Best sushi I’ve had so far!!! Made fresh to order. One of my favs to get from there is the American Dream roll with Shrimp Shumai as an appetizer. Kevin, the owner is really cool too! If you come in more than once, he’ll remember you. I think that’s pretty cool.

I heard about this place from a coworker that raved about the sushi, so decided to give it a try on a Thursday night. When we walked in we were seated right away. We got there at a perfect time because 15 mins later the place was packed with people. I started off with the house infused pineapple sake. It’s cold sake so if you don’t like cold sake you probably wouldn’t like it. It comes with 6 infused pineapple on the side to take with your sake. The flavor was good, I just love hot sake more then cold. For starters we had: Tuna Tower: Layers of spicy tuna and avocado on a bed of rice topped with masago and tempura flakes. Stuffed Jalapeño: You can either choose fish or shrimp, so we picked salmon and then they deep fire it. It’s the bomb! Entrees: Godzilla Roll: Seared tuna, shrimp tempura, cucumber and avocado topped with hamachi and tempura flakes with eel sauce and spicy mayo on top. Valerie Roll: Spicy tuna and avocado topped with spicy crab and tempura flakes. Key West Roll: Spicy conch, avocado topped with tuna and jalapenos sprinkled with masago and spicy mayo. Soup Kevin’s noodle soup: Noodle were tiny like angel hair noodles but flavor was very good. Has shrimp, chicken and beef. Soy ramen soup: My husband said it was good. He had it was chicken. Next time my husband and I go I will have to try the Thai food and see how it is. The sushi was very good and fresh. Glad my co worker told me about it.

I found Kevin’s Sushi on Unilocal when my friend and I were trying to pick a place to meet for dinner. It had great reviews on Unilocal so I thought why not! The location can be easily missed since it’s tucked away in a tiny plaza. The exterior was not very appealing but the inside was very clean and inviting. While waiting for my friend, I had the pleasure of chit chatting with Kevin, who was working behind the sushi bar. When my friend showed up, we were so busy catching up that it took us almost 40 minutes to put in our order but the waitress was very patient. I ordered a sushi roll under«customers favorites» and a Chicken Pad Thai. My friend ordered the Hibachi Steak. Everything came out promptly. My sushi roll was delicious with large chunks of salmon Sashimi and avocado. The Pad Thai was my favorite, the flavor was a perfect blend of sweet, sour, salty and spicy. Unfortunately I don’t live near Kevin’s, in fact I live in a complete different state! But Kevin’s will defintely be a regular place for me to revisit whenever I’m back in town!

I wanted to give an honest review because of the high rating at this restaurant. I live very close and am always looking for a good Thai/sushi place. We tried: salmon carpacio — was fishy smelling & tasting so we did not eat most of it, a few sushi rolls — HUGE, lots of rice, fish ok, the tuna had that weird red candy apple look to it(meaning it’s been gassed so it may not have been very fresh), Pad Thai — was very oily. The restaurant itself is cute, the service very friendly but they really need to rethink their fish supplier or how long they keep their fish(or decide to feed it to their customers).

Going to give this a place another shot another time. They really need to hire more help with how busy they are — and how known they make it that they are in fact«really busy right now» — food takes a bit longer than expected for a sushi place — and wait staff really seems to be stretching themselves thin with only 2 servers and 1 cook. Ordered sushi and pad Thai which were both large portions and excellent! Also ordered a salad which I will skip next time as for $ 3.50 you get a very small handful of lettuce a tomato and a cucumber slice smothered in ginger dressing. — good, just not worth the price. Also had the garlic edamame — super yummy if you’re a garlic lover!

That sucked… No other way else to describe. This place is clearly selling fake sushi. One of the dead giveaways was the color of the tuna, the taste was too fishy, and it was extremely chewy like a gummy bear. Don’t believe me. See for yourself. Avoid at all cost. Anyone eating here and enjoying it that is fine but I warn you this place is definitely misleading you with what they are selling. You can google signs of how often fake tuna is used in sushi restaurants and what are the signs.

My colleague had a birthday today and our boss decided to take the whole office out to lunch to celebrate. They said, «we’re going to Kevin’s for lunch!» I asked, «Kevin who???» Needless to say, I learned Kevin’s was a local Sushi and Thai place. Located on US1 in Deerfield in a strip mall. It was very clean and beautifully decorated inside. The service was great for a party of 9 people. They had a lunch menu and I ordered the chicken fried rice with came with either miso soup or salad. I opted for the salad– it was cold, crisp, and fresh. The ginger dressing was pretty good too. Other people ordered pad thai or sushi. Everything was great and I definitely would come back.

Came to Kevin’s on a Friday night for dinner. From the outside it’s in a small run down strip mall and dark windows make it seem closed even. But walking in its a small restaurant with a few tables and large sushi bar. I had to try their house infused pineapple sake. Which I thought was awesome and drank a beer along side it. They also gave us some sake soaked pineapple chunks. They offer some of their specialty rolls in half roll options which is great for someone like me who always feels torn trying to order sushi. I got three half rolls: the Valerie, spicy gourmet, and the key west roll. They were all so good and fresh. I thought the spicy gourmet was gonna be my fave but I liked the valerie roll better. The BF got chicken teriyaki and wasn’t a fan. The sauce was really watery. So I would stick with sushi when visiting kevins.

Today I went into Kevins to satisfy my craving for sushi. My overall experience was amazing. It was beautiful in there and the environment was comfortable. The lady at the front was very helpful! I told her what I liked and she showed me what I would want. I ordered for take out. And it took like 7 minutes! The sushi was FANTASTIC! I was pleased! Spent $ 22 on everything in picture!

Hubby and I wanted to try a new sushi place nearby so we decided to go here. The place is very small inside a shopping center. I’d say they have two booths for 3 people and six tables plus the sit up bar area. Very friendly atmosphere –staff. Kevin, Who I kept reading about in the reviews is apparently the owner and the person who mainly cooks everything. He was there right up front. Thai tea was yummy. My husband ordered a Sonya roll. Very very good and huge! I had the garlic edamame which was also very tasty — different. Unfortunately I was on a diet so I only got brown rice and the chicken satay, but I wasn’t too thrilled about the chicken satay. Good sauces accompanied it but chicken was a bit undercooked for my liking.

Great food. Looks really crappy from the outside because of the location and plaza but the inside is very modern and clean. The food portions were huge. For eight dollars they served me a salad and a large portion of rice and vegetables that were cooked perfect. My coworkers got large portions of sushi and chicken curry. Service was very nice as well. I’ll definetly go back for lunch.
