I use to order delivery from here and most of the time this girl would answer and be rude while taking my order. She put me on hold 3 times. Every time I corrected her after getting my order wrong I could hear she was annoyed. She shoulve taken the order right in the first place, and we wouldn’t of had that problem. They food is decent but it can sometimes be very greasy.

This is a great late night place. The food is made incredibly fast and is pretty decent. The prices are also fair. But if you’re looking for a hole in the wall authentic Mexican place, this is not it.

I ordered online and it was very easy got there to pick up my food and was told the coupon that doesn’t expire was no longer accepted I really wanted to try this place but I am bad about not giving in on using a coupon. So my order of $ 18.50 was not accepted for a coupon worth $ 5.00. They kept my food and I went down the road to eat.

I ordered the saddest avocado torta from here today. Barely any refried beans, only one slice of tomato, and the sandwich was not cut in half like I remember. I don’t really care about the cut of the torta, to be honest, besides that, it was bad. Barely toasted buns. This was on a Friday. The place was full and the food prep was terrible! Go to La Salsa, if it’s still open. They prep everything so neatly and tasteful. This torta was bad. I’ve had other stuff from their menu. The baby burritos are always soggy and prepared unevenly.

Pretty good authentic Mexican food. They’ve changed a bit since we were last here. Their new salsa and chips at the table is nice. Salsa has a great flavor and it tastes super fresh. Their lunch specials are cheap and good -$ 5.99. I ordered two tamales. I really liked the tamales themselves but they were covered in a weird meaty red sauce. Very strange. I scraped that off and enjoyed the tamales. I would have ordered them dry. Their refried beans are so good. Even rice is good and I don’t like rice. My husband got steak quesadillas. He devoured them and said they were awesome. I’ve had their guacamole in the past and it’s made fresh… very tasty.

Fond memories of this place as an undergraduate at NIU. The location was in the middle of most of the college apartments and at the end of Greek Row, where all the Fraternity and Sorority house are located — also near a couple of bars. There would be lines out the door of this place when the bars close for the evening. The burritos are the best thing on the menu and probably the most talked about item. Gigantic burritos!!! When I go back to the campus, especially with other alumni, we make a stop at this place. Aside from their take out, their catering is equally as good. Service is friendly and bilingual. Customer base is extremely diverse.

I absolutely love Burritoville! Prices are certainly reasonable and the food is great. I always get delivery and they’re always honest if the wait is going to be awhile. I even had them cater a friend’s birthday party earlier this year!

Decent. Had the barbacoa. Wasn’t dry. That’s a plus. Not a fan of lettuce in a burrito(Been in California the last three years and never saw this before). Second try at Mexican food in Dekalb. My first attempt was at Los Tres Burritos so the bar was kind of low. Burritoville gave me hope that maybe there is a burrito joint in this town that can make one of the most simple texmex dishes. The search continues.

We stop at Burrito ville quite often. The burrito bowls are great. Stop in on Sunday for their buffet. Several items to choose from. Friendly staff n good service

This place is the epitome of fast food. I went here once for dinner(take out) and it was honestly the biggest mistake I’ve made. I’m a huge Mexican cuisine lover and this was bad good. Unless you’re a drunk college student who wants a quick, cheap meal and isn’t worried about quality, then by all means, have at it. But if you want authentic Mexican food — try the other places in DeKalb.

I love Burritoville! I do admit, the first time I went to Burritoville, I was pretty intoxicated, so it really seemed wonderful. I did return sober and still love it! It does get a bit crowded during the late evenings, but that’s because they have karaōke. I really love Burritoville because they make everyone feel welcome! Very open environment. They also make your food very quickly, so if you’re really hungry, it’s a good place to get food fast, without going to fast food.

Ordered through Campus Special. Waited nearly two hours for our food with no apology or offer of refund. On top of that, our food was definitely not up to temp when it arrived and had lousy quality. I was drowning in a world of lettuce and sour cream with my taco salad. I will never go to this restaurant or order from here again.

Try the seafood! Personally, not a fan of the«drunk food» but the authentic Mexican and the seafood are amazing! Also, try a michelada, soooooo good for a hangover!

I love their tacos. I love their tamales. I hate their delivery services. I usually order a few tacos and a few tamales, and it takes up to two hours to have them delivered. And all too often, when I order 3 tamales, I will only get one. The long delivery time and short items in my order has happened several times… so if you want your food, pick it up.

We haven’t lived in Dekalb in 4 years… and I still travel the half-an-hour there sometimes for their Cuban Sandwich. Ham, roast pork, white cheese(I usually get easy onions and no jalapenos — because I’m a doughy white guy), a sliced hot dot, and kind of a spicy bean spread and, I believe some mayo — all on homemade torta bread. Heaven! I have tried Cuban sandwiches everywhere I see them… including in Miami. This is my favorite anywhere. I live in Aurora and you can throw a penny in any direction and hit a burrito place and I still drive out to Dekalb for this sandwich. Top 3 sandwiches I’ve ever eaten. Period. Everything I’ve had there is good, as well. A friend of mine is partial to their tostadas.

The food wasn’t terrible. I had the chicken enchilada and my wife had chicken fajitas. Their horchata was delicious and the meal was decent. However, we had a very un-attentive waitress and some of the owners or higher ups of the place were sitting in the dining area, drunk and a tad belligerent. Perhaps their success is going to their head a bit?

Been going here for years… it is a icon in this collage town… We now live in a different state and it is still one place that we have to go to when in town… Owner still remembers us. Best, biggest, burritos anywhere. LOVE them!

WORST food in DeKalb. The first time I actually ordered Burritoville sober they put half of an onion(not chopped) on my steak torta. Definitely a late night meal after a night of drinking.

It’s a good location as many have said, but if you want tasty mexican(ie youre not drunk/high) go to el burrito loco, hell, even head to taco bell.

Sadly like any other place, people never seem to voice when they have a good experience, but if they aren’t quite satisfied they are very anxious to voice a negative opinion. so I decided to jump on here today to give my take on local food /entertainment /etc… I have been living on and off in Dekalb my entire life. I’m what they often call a «townie of dekalb»… I have been to Burritoville more times then I will ever recall. I even have a record of the most taco’s ever ate in a single sitting there(which is 36 btw)… Burrivoville is by far my favorite place to get authentic Mexican food. Rudy(owner) has devoted much energy to keeping the quality up product up. The one down side to this place for me is service. especially on the delivery side if you don’t speak Spanish… I’ve had multiple issues with delivery, but never dissatisfied with a visit in person. LOVE Burritoville. in fact, I’m about to order food from them now just, just thinking about it makes me crave it!
