Most frustrating shopping experience ever, save yourself some money and sanity and head to Home Goods. You’ll get better quality at better prices. Customer service at this location is TERRIBLE, you’ll stand there for 10 minutes waiting on an employee to decide to help you, the coupons are always for regular priced items, but everything is supposedly«on sale». This place needs to go out of business already.

A big Shout Out to Jake, the salesman who helped me and a friend last night at the Del Mar Pier One. Jake has personality Plus and is the epitome of superb customer service! He made our shopping experience a fun experience!

Stopped by Pier 1 last night with a friend who wanted to show me the new dining chairs she bought at the Carlsbad store. We had NO intention of purchasing anything… A salesman, Jake, greeted us, helped us find my friend’s chair and was just really outstanding in his attention. He was very knowledgable and enthusiastic and … we ended up happily buying things we had NO idea we needed!(Thank you, Jake!). It seems so rare in this day & age to have such great customer care by a salesperson! We decided we would ONLY shop at the Del Mar Pier 1 so Jake can help us in the future! Wish he was training salespeople so there were more«Jakes» out there!

Beverly has been incredibly helpful this morning! Last week, at a different location, I purchased some dishes for the patio. That location didn’t have all the pieces I wanted, so I came here. This location is out as well, so she has been calling multiple stores to try and track the items for me. Great customer service!

Pier 1 always has a wide variety of home décor, which is awesome. Walking into Pier 1 is like walking into a giant market of home furnishings and decorations. This particular Pier 1 is pretty easy to find and I do like that it’s right by the freeway. The last couple times I have gone, they have been short on staff, though they are still very friendly. The only bummer for me about Pier 1 in general is that they don’t sell furniture off the floor and often don’t have A large supply and inventory. Therefore, whenever you find a nice dresser or table, you have to order it online and wait two weeks for it. However, I definitely enjoy shopping there if I find something specific or unique, and can always find something to add to my home!

I came in looking for some wine glassed, but I was a little disappointed with their stock. I was at another location about a year ago, and I could sworn I’ve seen these before, so it appeared they had not improved their selections. Don’t get me wrong, they had some nice wine glasses, but nothing that appealed to me. They did however have some nice holiday wine glasses( ), but buying them and using them only once a year, did not make sense to me. I did pick up a few crackled with a small amount of purple( ). Why? Because they looked interesting, and because I needed some. They would not of been my first choice, but at least I can drink wine out of a glass now. The employees were friendly enough at the register…

Im a big Pier 1 fan(only if you could see my backyard) just not sure this location is right for me. I live in the area and found that service staff is stretched. This stores clientele seems to require hand holding and I’ve been in 3 – 4 time and ignored(not on purpose) but due to all the staff following other customers around filling baskets. I would recommend visiting this store during off peak times hours. They open at 10am but double check there but site.

I love pier 1. Its always a fun store to go exploring in. However, this store recently put in a doorbell, and every time someone walks by the door it goes off. I went into the store with the intention of buying a $ 400+ upholstered chair, but after 5 minutes of having to listen to the doorbell ring over 20 times I was going mad and had to leave. I understand the desire to alert the employees when someone enters and leaves the store, but they need to find a less annoying way to do it. I am pretty upset I don’t think I can shop here anymore until they get rid of that horribly annoying doorbell sound. Unless I want to walk around the store in earplugs…

Came here last night since I’m still trying to make my new apartment home-y and haven’t found what I’m looking for at Target, BBB, and all the other stores I’ve been to ten times now. I was greeted and helped by very nice associates and they had a ton of cute stuff and several large clearance sections! I came in for a throw blanket and of course left with that, plus two couch pillows, a vase, some decorative things for said vase, and a few other small items. Ah… now I know why I’ve stayed away from this store for so long! They had some beautiful Christmas ornaments too but the ones I really loved were of course too much money for me to spend. I was able to go to their Facebook page and download a coupon though which is always appreciated!

I’ve been in here a couple times after work and during my break. I’ve found some great glasses here that I still cherish. The times to go to this location is during the middle of the day and around 3:00 P.M. It has never been crowded. Every time I have walked in I have been greeted with a smile and a hello which is super comforting. Today as I walked in, I asked the girl for some help. She gave me a really good recommendation and saved me a great deal of time wandering endlessly throughout the store. I purchased her recommendations and looked around a bit more. I love going here for the colors that I see around the store. They seem to be well stocked with merchandise. I saw things from anti-bacterial hand sanitizer, throws, candles, wicker chairs, glasses, cutlery, cheese knives, wine stoppers, curtain rods, picture frames, birthday cards, eye masks, nail files etc… This place is really great for last minute gifts that are much nicer and more appropriate for a last minute special occasion. Every time I have been in, they have either helped with wrapping or making sure that any breakable items are getting home safely. It is a bit tucked behind the shopping center, but that is what I kind of like about this PIERONE. It’s convenient and cheery for me to go here.
