A long time Gem in the heart of downtown Delafield. Breakfast is always fantastic and the pies here are legendary.

Spinach and feta omelette was good. Nice portions and good prices. Super busy, but fast, attentive service. Average Wisconsin breakfast spot; nothing blown away, but definitely a good spot for the weekend.

Always an affordable and delicious treat on Sunday’s when I’m in town visiting my parents! They are best known for their fluffy pancakes. I usually get an omelette or French toast special. In the summer they have an outdoor bar cart serving bloody Mary’s with mini Budweiser chaser cans or mimosas. Enjoy the wait. Excellent and fast service. Glad to see the business doing so well with a long track record in the community. Beware: SO much food!!! You’ll be stuffed.

They have a very good breakfast at a reasonable price. The food is very good breakfast fare with good, fresh coffee. It’s always bustling and depending on what time you arrive there can be a line on weekends. I’ve had fried eggs and bacon several times and the person I went with had a very good waffle. Nice atmosphere, relaxed, comfortable.

My boyfriend and I have been coming here since we started dating two years ago, we usually come in on a Sunday and sit at the counter. I love this place and delafield is lucky to have it. The wait staff is great and the owner remembers where we like to sit. Kudos Lumber Inn.

Rounding up on 3 ½ stars. This place is a cute little joint– the food was a ok. Nothing out of the box, just straight up faves– with some minor twists. I’ll tell you what though– the staff is über friendly(which I’m pretty sure 90% of the population is– I mean really… people are NICE is Wisconsin… which is very refreshing. ANYHOO– great little outdoor seating area for the summer, and a cute little joint inside. I had the omelette which was pretty tasty. Coffee was not so great– but that’s not a knock, that’s just FYI for any coffee lovers out there.

This is my favorite place for breakfast. For breakfast I do like some of the trendier places in Milwaukee, they are excellent and creative but they can be a bit pretentious whereas this place is just a comfortable homey place for a great breakfast. I usually get the polish sausage(with eggs and such), my wife loves the enchilada omelets. They pancakes are as good as they get, especially blueberry, I have gotten positive review on the benedicts from my Mom — who is very particular. The coffee is okay and the staff is good at offering to top you off. They added Bloody’s the last couple of years — okay — but unnecessary — a little too much going on there. I have yet to be disappointed by this place. I prefer to dine outside when open, with my family, but if I am alone I love the counter where you can watch the short orders work their magic. The service is lightning quick and friendly, everybody knows their role and does it brilliantly. Prices aren’t the bargain basement but they aren’t high either. If there is a wait — the waitress has never underestimated it — they turn over tables fast but you don’t seem rushed at all.

Lumber Inn can get very full, but the cool thing is that the turnaround time from when you’re seated to when you have food in front of you is always really short. They often have a couple featured specials that day, such as peaches & cream French toast or cherry almond pancakes(These are excellent), but my go-to meal here is the seafood omelette. It’s loaded with cheese and generous portions of crab and shrimp, and is topped with a creamy, delicious seafood sauce with a hint of garlic. Occasionally, one of us will order a blueberry pancake for a side, and let me just express how excellent their blueberry pancakes are. Probably one of the best I’ve had. Another highlight here are the«American fries» you’ll get with your meal as a side. They’re always great — Fluffy, full of flavor and with a nice, slight crispiness to the edges. Personally, I prefer mine with Swiss cheese melted on top. The Lumber Inn is one of the best breakfast/brunch places anywhere, and if you haven’t been here yet, go and check them out.

Best breakfast in the area. You just can’t go wrong! The omelettes are perfectly done and you get to choose your own cheese, even feta. The eggs Benedict are also very good. We love the outdoor seating on a nice day and are always well-tended to. Our coffee cups never get even half empty before a staff member comes by with a refills. Great food, friendly small-town staff, and an ideal location. One of our regular spots since moving to Delafield.

Our favorite spot for breakfast. The food is consistently served quickly, hot and delicious. I’m sad that they no longer do Friday fish fries because those were delicious as well. Both my husband and I love getting the veggie skillet with feta cheese and a pancake on the side — amazing! Leftovers reheat very well too.

One if my favorites for the past 15 years and I am finally getting around to writing a review. We have been regulars since before Raul purchased this and expanded the current restaurant 3 times that I remember. Known for homemade pies, breakfast potatoes, fast and friendly small town service from a grill type restaurant. A variety of omelets, egg skillets, pancakes(thick and the size of a plate), french toast to burgers and sandwiches all are can’t miss. Try the omelet with chorizo and make sure you get the breakfast potatoes, one of my favorites. I recently tried their bloody mary bar. It is how I remember at a northern Wisconsin small bar, loaded with the garden and sausages and a beer chaser. I love it! You can get this or a mimosa outside while waiting for a table. Raul puts the customers through fast so you won’t even finish your drink and you will be seated. 1. Service A+ 2. Food A+ 3. Atmosphere A+ 4. Value A+ Take the drive out to lake country and check out Lumber Inn and Delafield and enjoy a great breakfast! You’ll love it…

Here from Arizona with my husband who grew up here. The service was good, the food was served fast and hot. My only criticism is that the majority of the employees were Hispanic and speaking Spanish the entire time. Not really what you expect to hear while you’re eating breakfast in a white bread Wisconsin town.

We wanted breakfast at 1130am. It was a destination trip to a favorite location. We were seated right away, ordered and the food appeared instantly, I was amazed at how fast they prepared our meals. The food was very good, service was top talent, and the overall experience was thumbs up. As a bonus, we saw some long time friends and said hello. A wonderful visit to the Limber Inn.

Lumber Inn is a nice place to get a quick and comforting breakfast. It’s a typical diner with a slight upgrade — they’ve always got some awesome special, like Peach French Toast. My personal favorite here is the Breakfast Sandwich. Sounds lame, but you can pick the cheese, bread, and meat type, plus you get two eggs on it. Plop some american fries next to it(this place does not do hash browns, which makes me love it even more) and I’ve got my perfect hangover meal. Coffee tastes cheap, but in that nostalgic way if you grew up eating in diners. Overall, I recommend Lumber Inn. I will definitely be back for more breakfast sandwiches, and I am intrigued by their Bloody Mary.

The food here is good and filling, but a few things confused me about its presentation and the service. First off — I ordered the Eggs Benedict with crab cakes. One of my favorite dishes EVER and when I get it, I want it to be worth consuming all the calories it inevitably contains. It came with American cheese between the crab cake and the English muffin. Um… what? I know we’re in Wisconsin here, but I thought this was completely unnecessary. I don’t ever eat American cheese, as it’s processed and gross and there are so many other cheeses worth eating. Nor have I ever had American cheese with any Eggs Benny dish, so I didn’t think to scour the ingredients listed on the menu before ordering. Meh. Secondly, I couldn’t taste any crab in the crab cakes. It was like breaded nothingness. Another strike. Third, we were sat right next to the bathroom. I could see straight into the men’s room when the door opened, and I could see waiters in the back(insanely florescent-lit) hallway just hanging out — something that always makes me a little annoyed as it distracts from the meal. Granted, this was something I could have spoken up about when we were seated, but it just confuses me why management thinks this is a good spot to put a table. They could have at least put some curtains between the dining room and the bathroom hallway. If you come here, know that the food is decent, but read the ingredients list before ordering. And don’t get suckered into sitting by the bathroom.

I recently ran the Ragnar Relay Chicago and the one rookie thing I learned was that meals are hard to come by during that 30 hours. With that being said when my team was able to sit down all together we found Lumber Inn. Glad we did. From afar it was the outdoor patio that lured us in and knowing what was ahead of us didn’t make it easy for us to part ways. Highly surprised by the quality of food that comes out. The first curve ball was what I found on the menu, Texas patty melt, which comes with avocado and bacon. Sans the grilled onions but no complaints. Perfect golden toast on the bread. Hot fries. Pickle spear. Cole slaw. All exceptional. My order lead to two other teammates ordering Texas style but a couple others ordered fajitas. One steak, one shrimp. Once I had seen that then I had order envy. They also ordered fresh guacamole which doubled the envy. Everything looked, tasted, and smelled fresh all from this small quaint town. They played host well to our circumstances. The real kudos was although I’m no fan of splitting the bills a million ways because it’s tacky, the server brought up the idea and was happy to do so. It was the easiest bill splitting ordeal I’ve encountered. Safe to say her tip was handsome and so was I. If ever I’m on the I-94 passing through I would stop for a bite.

I’ve lived in Delafield for 8 years now and we love to come here. I always get a bacon and cheese omelet. But if you want an omelet and they don’t have the type on the menu ask for it! They’re so accommodating. The owner is very sweet and always there. Which I love because he knows my family personally now. His family often comes in on Sunday morning and they eat together. They updated the menu recently and have healthy options which is great for my dieting parents! They also have great fish fry and meat loaf. The deserts are good as well. They do get very busy on weekend mornings, but we’ve never waited a ridiculous amount of time. They also have outdoor seating which is fabulous! Honestly if you’re in Delafield this is a MUST go!
