Really it’s 2.5 stars. The cashiers were friendly and helped us look through the menu. 1 med two Topping pizza, 12 buffalo wings and a pitcher of soda for 19.99. She actually charged us a little more but it wasn’t more than 2 bucks so not really a big deal, but not good either. It took about 15 minutes which is average. We got our pizza which tasted like a lil cesar’s hot and ready with canned jalapeños. The wings were disgusting –skin mostly and lightly fried. I couldn’t eat more than one. They have a bar attached and had music playing that you could hear from the main dining area, but it wasn’t too loud that you couldn’t have a conversation. There was also a decent sized flat screen mounted. The place was pretty empty. The cashier told us they have karaōke on Wednesdays and it gets pretty packed on Fridays. I wouldn’t come back here for the food but it seems like a cool spot for locals to hang out and have a drink.

Pizza was actually pretty good I must say. Dough had good flavor, toppings were abundant, and sauce was decent. Nice variety of beer on tap. Beer was nice and cold. Staff was friendly.

Not much was open past 10 besides fast food. Yuck. Saw this place on Unilocal and reviews were good. And there is a bar! Plus! The pizza with white sauce was DELICIOUS. Potato wedges were hot and flavorful. The side salad had a lot of good stuff in it. Prices weren’t too high. Staff was nice and food came out quickly. The bar was poppin and music was loud in the dining area but not overly so. We came to town for a baseball tournament so it’s nice to have Unilocal to be able to find good places to eat for hungry 14 year olds and parents. Hope to visit again before heading home.

Good pizza. They also had $ 2.50 beer on Thursday. Ambiance was like a regular pizza joint. They also had a full bar. Great selection of food with pizza, fried chicken, and cheesy bread. Given the low number of places to eat in Delano I recommend this place.

Excellent quality pizza, and their customer service is really good. Lay-back people, down to earth, good common sense! Very clean and safe environment. Wouldn’t go anywhere else.

Had the wings, both buffalo and hot, and both gross. Unless you like bakes, greasy wings full of fat. The place was clean though.

There is a sports bar in case you want more than just their great pizza. There is plenty of seating. The place looks well kept.

Pizza is really really good, wings are even better, delicious potato wedges. Bar has a better than great selection on beer… cocktail drinks could be better although their Bloody Mary is pretty good. Owners are pleasantly chatty and nice. They also have a fun karaōke night on Wednesdays and audio for sporting events.

Was in Delano again for a funeral, and went back for really the best pizza in town. We ordered a bunch of pies for take out, but ended up having to eat in and they were very accommodating on such short notice, thanks! Great pizza, friendly people :-)

I have such mix feelings for this place that I don’t know if I want to give it a bad review or a good one… Well you can decide on that… Anyway! This place is good ran my a nice man that can keep a happy face on him no matter what, he has a whole bunch of people bombarding him with questions and yet he won’t let that get to him good for you Now unpleasantly for me and my friends we decided to come here since we were starving and was on our way back from Vegas and of course cranky already just wanted to get a quick bite and leave but man this place took an hour to get our one pizza and salad and I’m sorry we are bitter already, we were not amused… But when it came out the good was great he made sure he made it up to us and brought us anything we like and I like that in an owner never give us bad service with more bad service you know? I will not be returning since well it’s out of my range but place is good I wouldn’t say it’s a horrible experience thank you magoo

This is a very difficult review to write. Magoos has good food, however the service is extremely slow. They are always undermanned and are not prepared to serve in a timely manner. The staff are friendly, but extremely overworked. They are so busy that they ignore the ringing phone and your order seems to take forever. Until they hire more staff, McGoo’s is not an option.

Thumbs up for the owner and manager. They have really stepped it up and are now carrying wine. They have made other improvements, and so far, it is a big plus.

Food took 20 – 30 min upon walk-in, first time, pizza’ meh’ had better at domino’s. Second time, same wait upon walk-in, wings and fried chicken, WAYYYYY over salted breading, I could only eat two out of the six pieces. We took the skin off the rest. Chicken wings from the grocery store would’ve been better. Should’ve gone with Subway nearby!

I was working out of town and found This place. looked OK but their service blows. I got a beer and a sandwich on a tab. I asked to close it but I wanted to pay in cash. I paid in cash and left. When I left that morning i remembered the bartender never gave me my card back. Called to see if they have it they did so on my way back to so Cal(home) stopped by to pick it up. They had no idea what I was talking about. After a while of arguing they found it And also found out that the charged my card. I paid twice!!! Thanx a lot Becky your the bartender of the year Beer is over priced Slow service

Great sports bar with pizza, burgers and calzones. Many beers on tap with a full bar. The pizza I had was very good, veggie with delicious crust. Much better than the national chain stores. Just keep in mind on your first visit this place is hidden around the back side of a liquor store.

Going through town, stop for dinner… There is a big sign in front that says«Sports Bar» so I am OK with sports on TV, beer, and pizza. My stop here was just plain weird. As I am walking in on Thursday night, college football should be on the TV’s. Instead reality TV on TNT is on and with a blasting volumn. OK, I go into the bar area(2 areas –bar and restaurant) and want a beer and pizza. Waitress say that she cannot serve me pizza in the bar, and I can only have some sandwiches. OK, I will have a beer and meat ball sandwich. She says I need money right now. OK, I take care of that. Another guy comes in and checks out that no college football is on the TV. He wants to have the channel changed to sports. The TV with no sound goes to sports, and the speakers are blaring reality tv on TNT. He cuts out. I eat and run. I would like too watch sports, and saw that is not going to happen. For a «Sports Bar», this is not a good one.

Delano doesn’t have much to offer as far as pizza is concerned. We have the regular ol’ national chains(Little Caesar’s, Pizza Hut, and Domino’s) and three little locally owned joints(Tony’s Pizza, Rocky’s Pizza, and LR’s Pizza). The best out of the local joints would be Tony’s. I quit going to Rocky’s after a roach spotting sometime in high school. I only have LR’s when my job orders it, and nearly go into carbohydrate arrest from the pizza’s super thicker than necessary crust(plus the cheese makes me choke every time). THENTHERE’S MAGOO’S! Sadly, they know my number and know what I want before I order it. The restaurant: Clean, orderly, sanitary. The tv screen behind the counter and above the beer allows you to see what’s going on in t he kitchen. The floors are swept, the tables are clean, the restrooms are in excellent condition. Customer service: Top notch. I’m not just saying this because my old high school peers run this place. I’ve yet to have an order come up incorrect, I’m always greeted with a friendly hello, and the employees go out of their way to make sure that the consumer/customer experience is 5 stars. The Food: OHHHEMMMGEEEE. Tasty, hot, excellent. The potato wedges are to die for. The calzones are delectable and so unbelievably GREAT. ORDER: pepperoni pizza with olives and garlic sauce instead of regular tomato sauce. HEAVEN. At one point this year I was going to Magoo’s every day for lunch: a salad… or some pizza… or a calzone… or…yeah. I had to stop. Not good for the hips. I LOVEMAGOO’S!

I was in Delano for business and was staying at the Holiday Inn Express right across the parking lot from Magoo’s Pizza. Boy am I glad I found this place. The first time I went in I had the chicken combo pizza and it came with a delicious white garlic sauce with chicken, tomatoes, mushrooms, bell peppers, olives and onions(I ordered mine with no onions). The pizza came out after about 10 minutes because everything is cooked fresh to order and it was delicious. The second time I decided to give the hot wings a try and they too were delicious. Now let me tell you about the incredible beer selection. On tap they have Haywire, Modelo, Newcastle, Blue Moon(which went excellent with my hot wings), Fat Tire(my pairing for the chicken pizza), Coors Light, Bud Light, Guinness, Budweiser, Michelob Ultra, Dos Equis Lager, and Michelob Amber Bach. Wow is all I can say, and this isn’t even getting into the bottled beers which include Chimay, Arrogant Bastard Ale, Firestone, Heineken, Sierra Nevada and so many others. All I can say is if you’re in Delano you owe it to yourself to check this place out. If you’re driving on the 99 and you’re hungry or thirsty, do yourself a favor and get off the freeway to check out Magoo’s. On top of the food and beer selection the restaurant is open and inviting. They have two big screen TV’s and the owner is super friendly and he has a passion for beer. He and I talked about beer for about 5 minutes before I even got to ordering. Hands down, Magoo’s has been the best part of my stay in Delano.
