We got a half sheet of combo cake with strawberry filling with whipped cream toppings for our son’s birthday and the whole family enjoyed it. I just wish they can do custom cake design.

Everything here is amazing and perfectly executed! Best jelly doughnuts anywhere. Fantastic coffee cakes and breakfast pastries. Do not miss out on the plum cakes in the Fall. CALLAHEAD or there might not be anything left by the time you get there! Limited hours of operation.

Awesome bakery. My favorites are the pastries, kolatckys,(cheese and apricot) pecan pizza, butter loaf with struesel. Even the chocolate doughnuts are awesome. Everything is outstanding. Fresh with great flavor. A specialty they serve is a honey/almond custard item(not sure of the name). AWESOME! They have seasonal items hot cross buns etc. Call ahead as things go quickly. Wonderful 7grain bread. They will do ½ a coffee cake so you can try everything:) The owners were originally from Chicago, by Montrose and Cicero. Best bakery ever, seriously. Awesome prices too, and always a smile when you walk in!

I live in Chicago and started going to Beil’s in the 1980’s. It was renowned among the Germans who moved to Chicago after WWII — even though most of the bakeries in Chicago were owned by Germans back then. After the Dad retired, the son moved the whole operation to Delavan and left a lot of heartbroken old Germanophiles like myself behind. But many of us still make the trek up to Delavan every so often because none of the bakeries in Chicago make it as well. My personal preference is their Dresden stollen. They usually make it around Xmas time; however, the rest of the year, you have to call and order it. If you’ve never eaten Dresden stollen, you need to understand that it is one of the densest coffee cakes you will ever eat, due mainly to the ton of butter they put into it, so a 1−2″ slice is about all the average person can eat. They sell it by the pound and it is not cheap! However, it tastes wonderful and literally stays fresh for weeks without refrigeration. I buy 3 – 4 of them at a time, store them in a cool closet, and my family and I finish off about 1 per week during December & January.

Having German/Czech ancestry, I can vouch for the kolachi(mmm), and recently tried an old fashioned cheesecake that was interesting and delicious! For an old time bakery feel, you have to stop in here. Not a big place, but they move people through very quickly. I have a store in downtown, and I can’t keep my staff out of this place on the weekends. Check it out folks, there’s no disappointments here!

OMG this place is yummy for your tummy! Best bakery in Delavan/Fontana/Lake Geneva area EVER! Sadly, my Grandparents are moving from Delavan. :(They used to always special order me some butter coffeecake something or other, that melted in my mouth, was simply scrumptious, and had the best frosting dripping from it with little crumblies. I will miss my no preservative sugar rush greatly. Worth the drive! Stop here and buy some baked goodies. They’re old school though– so bring cash and go early!!! Get off your butt and stop here!

The best bakery for miles around! Beil’s was originally based in Chicago but somehow made it out to Delavan. It’s fantastic! The bakery items are so fresh and light — not greasy and definitely not heavy. They’re some of the finest homemade pastries ever. Also, their cakes are great. Get the buttercream! You also need to try the apricot fan pastry. Delicious! AMAZINGBAKERY!!!
