Very mediocre. My calamari salad was drowned in salad dressing — ick. Calimari was cold and tasteless. Pizza was OK but nothing special. The service was decent though.

This used to be our place to get NY Style Pizza for five years; well sadly, not anymore. They tried to give two 2 ounce salad dressing for 3 lb of salad. Was told that they only usually give one and would charge $.50 for any additional dressing. This is after we spent $ 40 total there. They are under new management and they will ruin this what used to be a hidden gem. The salad dressing wouldn’t have covered even half of the $ 11 Greek salad. Extremely poor service and cheap beyond words! I called to ask for more which we were willing to go back to get. I was told I could but would be charged extra. When my husband got there, the manager of the place started to get an attitude and sadly, we walked out with no salad dressing. I called to speak to the owner and she was both rude and unprofessional. Spend your money elsewhere– they will nickle and dime you for EVERYTHING. You lost a five year loyal customer! And the last time we ordered calamari, the portion was tiny. We order calamari whenever it’s available at a restaurant because our girls love it. And noticed how small it was compared to all the place we have been to, but thought, hey maybe the place is going through hard times and was understanding. Well, I guess that was our mistake. Other Google reviewers all say the same thing.

Really like the pizza, been there 7 times all very enjoyable. Delray Beach has some very good pizza restaurants hard to keep the weight down :) Would never turn down a pizza from here!

I’ve started a review a couple times for this place but never completed it for whatever reason. I’m actually glad that I’ve been able to get a couple of experiences under my belt before actually finishing it! First couple of times we ate here weren’t stellar meals. The first time here I ordered a cold Italian Sub with no tomatoes. For whatever reason getting the Waitress to understand this was a chore. Me: I’ll have an Italian Combo with everything except Tomatoes. Waitress: So, do you want just the Meat & Cheese? Me: Well, no… do you make your subs with lettuce, Tomato & Onion? Waitress: If that’s how you want it. Is that what you want? Me: Ummm no… I just want lettuce & onion, as I said, no tomato. Waitress: JUST Lettuce & Onion or the Meat & Cheese too? Me:(and I quote) «Ma’m, maybe you should write this down or get a Manager cuz I think we MUST have a language barrier!» This girl was english speaking! She then decides to get a pen as I say: «I’d like an Italian Sub on the roll you normally serve it on, with the meats & cheese you normally serve on it & I’d like lettuce & onion on it with Oil & Vinegar on the side. Understand?» She never answered, never looked up. I got my sub with tomato but no onion and had to ask for them! Second experience involved a veggie pizza with a very wet, mooshy crust that had to be sent back. Received it back 20 minutes later(honestly)! We thought they were remaking it but no. It was returned completely burnt! After that I thought we would never return. However, 6 – 8 months ago friends who are older and somewhat surrogate parents asked us to take them here specifically for lunch. I was reluctant but wanted to go where they’d enjoy it. I ordered the lunch special: a slice of pizza, ½ of a sub, soup or salad and a drink for $ 7.49. It was not only really good this time, it was a lot for the price and the service was as good as it could be in this part of town. I feel you kinda have to take mercy on ANYONE in the service industry in West Delray. I know from personal experience the NY retirees work these peoples nerves! So, getting my order right & getting my food promptly is all I expect to get an A out here. If they don’t smile or give me a cutesy attitude, I know many of these servers out here are occasionally on the verge of Homicide(or suicide for their vocational decision). After that experience we’ve been back about a dozen times. The lunch specials are generous, good and come out quick so it’s a great business lunch spot. The few times we’ve had dinner, again good food, adequate service and prompt. I like their red sauce. Tastes authentic without sugar to conceal acidity. A pet-peeve of mine is places that make their own sauce but instead of cooking it a long time low and slow, they dump canned tomatoes, garlic, herbs and a ton of sugar in a pot and call it «sauce» Are you getting this Nino’s? So, although it’s not my favorite pizza place in the area(Mamma Mia’s Boynton gets that designation) It’s a close second. All their Parmesan dishes I’ve had I’d order again. I can honestly say that after the those 1st2 initial trips I’ve never experienced a problem since.

Anna Marie answered the phone, she had our food ready promptly, and to arrive home to notice we are missing our tiramisu! But no worries after speaking with her again at the store and telling her that we are new to this area, she said no worries and although her driver was no longer on duty she was going to bring it to us, she would not accept a tip and I think this is customer service at it’s finest! Pizza was delish also the gorgonzola salad! About to dig into the tiramisu, but it looks amazing! Will definitely be back not only for the food but for the service! Great job Anna Marie!

Italian food is my favorite and Guido’s Brick Oven never lets me down. I especially like the chicken and shrimp dinners and sometimes opt for a Stromboli, pizza or a panini. I’ve been here dozens of time and have enjoyed every meal. We also get our take out pizzas here. I wish they would go on Opentable so I could make a reservation because sometimes there’s a long wait for a table which can get annoying. I usually wait though; the food is that good! 5 stars!

Stopped here for dinner with family on our vacation. Just wanted something simple. Best pizza I’ve ever had in Florida and friendly staff. Huuuuuuuuge slices! Mozzarella sticks were the kids favs, crispy outside and gooey inside. Great stop!

We are on vacation here wondering what to eat for Saturday night. I looked on Unilocal for this place. I read the reviews and was laughing about how ridiculous the ppl is answering the phone when customers asking for recommendations. Then I had my bf call and make sure to ask for a recommendation just see what they say. A guy answered the call, my bf said order a pizza to go. The guy put my bf on hold for at least 40 seconds and then said we are closed! Are you fk kidding!!! Why didn’t you say at the beginning!!! On a Saturday night close at 9? Also there is nowhere on Unilocal showing their business hours! Even tho we haven’t try the food, the service sucks I can tell! if you don’t want to get mad before your meal, then please don’t bother to go!

Ordered chicken with eggplant Parmesan. The garlic rolls were very good while the side salad consisted only of lettuce and two cherry tomatoes with a sparse topping of onions. The minestrone soup was okay and the quality of the chicken and eggplant was good. But the whole meal was brought down by the inferior flavor of the tomato sauce. The oddest thing about the restaurant was the loud hum of what must have been the air-conditioner. Though it was not as audible in other parts of the restaurant.

Just called in an asked for a recommendation between pizzas– guy said the menu is online, go check it out and call back«I have a line of customers that know what they want.» I think not. Hmmm… Will I ever get used to Florida?

My family stopped on a Sunday for lunch. Thought the pizza was excellent. Wife loved the eggplant parm. Chef and waitress were polite and helpful. Pricing was reasonable.

I thought the pizza here was decent, but nothing overly amazing. Prices were good. Service was good. Crust was thin. Floppy at the point and increasingly crisp as you got closer to the edge. The sauce was very mild. It was there, but it did not pack a huge punch. Personally, I like my sauce spicier. The pepperoni was cut deli meat style. The lunch menu is limited and doesn’t even have the pizza topping availability or soft drink options on it for some reason. Certainly not bad food and, as stated earlier, very reasonable prices. I don’t think I would go out of my way to return, but I definitely wouldn’t avoid going back either…

Excellent excellent excellent NY style pizza. Crispy outer crust, soft squishy inner crust. Sooooo good! One of my favorite pizzas yet. The garlic rolls are brick oven too– perfectly crisp outside and soft, squishy inside. We also ordered the Seafood a la Guido, a ciopinno style dish with clams, mussels, calamari and shrimp in an excellent, robust red sauce over linguini. I order this dish lots of places, and this one really stands out. There was TONS of seafood(I hate when places skimp!) and the sauce was delicious– perfect mix of clam and tomato sauces. The Caesar salad is the only thing I wouldn’t get again. The croutons tasted like the cheapest grocery store kind and the dressing that came on the side(instead of tossed) was sour and tart instead of creamy garlic and parmesan-y. No big, though. The pizza, rolls and seafood a la Guido were delicious enough to MORE than make up for a subpar side salad. HIGHLY recommend!

This place is really good! I’m not a big fan of their garlic rolls, but the pizza and the antipasto are great! After the first pizza we got from there, we knew we’d be regulars.

We just ate here for lunch. The pizza is pretty thin and crisp. The veggies were super fresh. Great garlic rolls, although a little greasy. Super friendly service. It’ll be our new go to lunch place in the wasteland that is Delray.

We decided to have Italian food for dinner last night and the husband usually wants pizza when it’s Italian. I wanted to try Brick Oven Pizza for the reviews even though hubby was resistant, and wanted to go to Anthony’s or Scuola Vecchia, because he likes to go with what he knows. I wanted to try something different, and besides, he loves a NY style slice. The restaurant was nice and clean and our waiter, Todd, was friendly and helpful. Service was superb. Hubby decided on the classic NY thin crust pie, half cheese and half meatball. I ordered the house made sausage and peppers. My entrée came with a crisp, fresh side salad and we were also given some delicious garlic rolls to start. The pizza was massive and very tasty. The meatballs added great flavor. My husband thought the«cheese was very salty and the crust needed salt» but this is coming from a person who loves to add salt to everything so I’m not sure what’s gong on with his tastebuds lately. Still, he said it was good. It definitely tasted like what I used to have as a kid growing up in NYC. My sausage and peppers was an enormous plate of homemade sausage, roasted peppers, potatoes, mushrooms and onions. It came in a delectable sauce with a side of pasta for which I substituted their veggie medley. The veggie medley surprised me by being a heaping portion of fresh carrots, zucchini, broccoli, cauliflower, wax and green beans sauteed in olive oil. The entire entrée was really wonderful. I’d definitely come back — this place is a true gem — as I believe most of King’s Point has already found out!

I have been ordering take-out pizza from Brick Oven for years now. Its my little secret to share with my family(and they rave about it) and friends when they visit and I want to impress them with the best Pizza on chill-out night.
This place is a Mamma-Mia’s Pizzeria and they have the best tasting thin crust dough and sauce and right amount of cheese, all of the ratios are perfect. I Call in the pizza it takes 15 mins off season and during Snow Bird time about 30 mins to make the pizza. And Yes this Place is Full of Blue Haired Early-Bird Special People so you will feel young here. ** I usually order the 16″ Vegetarian Special Pizza(21 $) and it is Loaded with Vegetables like Roasted red /yellow /orange peppers, Roasted Onions, Spinach, Broccoli, Kalamata Olives, and Roasted Tomatoes . Need I say More! It is soo delicious, filling, and makes you feel good when finished eating, just perfection.*** I have also had the Old School Thin Crust Cheese Pizza(14 $) and its damn good for a Cheese Pizza.
I’ve also tried their sausage and pepperoni pizza, generous with toppings here. All of the pizza’s usually have leftovers so it makes a great snack the next day. The waitresses are nice I say hi to them when I go to Pick-up. You Must Try this pizza if in the Area… It Is Sooo Worth it and you’ll be happy and raving about it after!
