Let me start off by saying that we are from the metro Detroit area. We came here with expectations to have some food from home and watch a Tiger game. We had the perogies to start off which were freezer burnt. We shared the Hani which was not like the one back home. Disappointing. While eating and watching the Tiger game, let me remind you this is a Detroit themed bar, they turned off the Tiger game from the main screen to put on a foreign football(soccer) game and moved it to a tv that was barely visible. We asked to have it put back on the main screen, which they did but once our bills were paid they changed it back even though we had full beers and were still sitting there. At that point we left including our semi full beers.

Decent burgers. Dark, dated décor with lots of damaged booths makes the place look dirty. If the review was based on food alone would be a solid 3.5 stars. The reason for 2 stars was the service. Slow and disinterested. Spent more time chatting with the bartender and watching videos on her phone then paying attention to the dining area. Never checked if every was satisfactory, never a drink refill and a different server had to go find her so we could get out check to leave. Won’t be back.

I would want to give it 3.5 stars. The food was good but the atmosphere left much to be desired. This place needs a facelift. Damaged booths with torn seats. It was also empty on a Saturday night. But we went for the coneys and the coneys were right on. Also good chicken fingers and mozzarella sticks. The service was good and the titos was only $ 5. That’s amazing! Good for bar food but eh on atmosphere.

Decent food, beer was warm and service was horrible. Don’t thing I’ll ever go back, there are way too many other options in the area.

Just okay. Was looking forward to a good chili dog, just okay and dessert was nothing special. Service was fine, establishment was fine. Just okay.

First off I am in no way shape or form connected to Michigan so therefore my opinion isn’t biased to the restaurant. My wife and I went here on a Thursday night. The place wasn’t very busy but then again my wife and I went and sat outside so we didn’t see inside much. They have a nice patio with ambient lighting in case you’d rather be outside enjoying the fresh air rather than hearing the next table yelling at a tv cheering on their team. We ended up being the only people on the patio so it ended up being our own private date night. We got their wings for starters. They were crispy and delicious. Then we got their smokehouse burgers. They were very good as well, nice sized portion of fries with it too. It was a really good meal and experience we will definitely be back again

Went there Friday night for dinner… not a good decision! Got seated at a high top in the bar area. No one ever came over to greet us. After 15 mins we finally got someone’s attention. Our order was quite simply, fish & chips(which by the way is all you can eat on Fridays), bowl of French onion soup & mozzarella sticks. Definitely not an order that should take that long… With that being said, the soup took 25 mins to arrive at my table. Hmmm, that seemed long to me but wasn’t too upset yet… 30 more minutes went by… Waitress says it’ll be right out… Hate liars! Then the server(don’t want to mention her name) comes to our table and has the nerve to tell us that one of the cooks walked out! That’s my problem how? Completely unprofessional of her to share that. What happens in the kitchen should be handled properly and not be pushed to the front of the restaurant and used as an excuse to customers… Well I did my first ever walking out of a restaurant I. That night, after 1 hour &10 minutes of patiently waiting we decided to get up & walk out I think it was well warranted. Bottom line, nobody cared about customers or proper service…

Went in there a few times in the past. Food is good and is normally pleasant. Last night however had to wait 20 minutes before a server would take our food and drink order. Told us they had a cook«walk out» earlier which I didn’t pay much mind to. We ordered soup as appetizer and fish and chips with mozzarella sticks as the main order. The soup came out after about 20 minutes but then after waiting over 50 minutes after that no food. Watched 5 waitresses at least go back and forth mostly with nothing or drinks. A table next to us was served their food and desert and was seated after us. We finally gave up and walked out. Couldnt even get their attention to pay for the drinks(tea and coke) and the soup. Gave the host guy a 5 which was all the cash i had aside from cards. I really liked that place but managed horribly. It’s a shame.

I am from Michigan so this place was a great find! Real Coney Dogs, Bettermaid Chips, a real Hani and Sanders Hot Fudge Sundays! Bar tenders are terrific, love this place!

As a native Detroit-er, I love finding my people down here. Grand Tavern could be dropped in Detroit and it would be just as comfortable as we are in the building in Delray. We enjoy taking our friends from home here and have come to watch Detroit sports games in a pro-Detroit environment. My only complaint is they bring in American Coney Island Chili not Lafayette — Yuck! :)

I don’t give 5 stars lightly. Grand Tavern has the best service and a decent beer selection, but that’s not why I’m writing this review. I am the world’s foremost expert on all things buffalo chicken. Grand Tavern has, BYFAR, the best buffalo chicken sandwich I’ve ever had in my entire life. My friends get mad at me because every time we go out to dinner I always suggest Grand Tavern now. I don’t care if they’re mad, if they knew buffalo chicken the way I know buffalo chicken then they would understand how important it is that I eat as many of these buffalo chicken sandwiches as possible. I am completely serious, the best buffalo chicken sandwich in the world resides at Grand Tavern.

To bad the service SUCkS! Cause the food is great I go here cause it’s the only bar not on Sunday football that’s not packed… However the service is so bad! Took over 20 minutes before our server even came over to say hi didn’t bring menus or take a drink order… Got up a walked out she watched me and my buddy leaving and didn’t even say anything… It’s not the they were busy full bar with 2 tenders and 3 tables with 4 servers walking around… I mean come on…

I’m a native of Michigan so when I saw this place I was thrilled and I had to give it a try! Cool staff very«bar like» and sporty! BUT… And here’s why there is a, but! I have the liberty of ordering the boneless honey barbecue wings and they were hard! Now they could have just had a bad day seeing as how they were probably rushing because it was so close to closing time! So therefore I will give them a second chance, cause I like the place very much! The jalapeño poppers were great, and service A+! I’ll BEBACKGUYS, ANDHOPEFULLY, WITHTHAT5THSTAR!

A good place close to home! This place is right around the corner. With different specials each day and reasonable prices regardless it is a place that almost anyone can find some that appeals to them on the menu. I had the Avenue Cobb Salad and would recommend it. My boyfriend had the Ruben sandwich. Although he wasn’t pleased with his choice and would not recommend it, he would still return and try some of the other menu items. Staff was friendly and our server was very attentive and pleasant. This place is one that is a little off the main avenue and definitely has it’s regulars and locals which gives it a nice welcoming vibe. I will definitely be back!

I have to rate this restaurant high because I’m from Michigan and they are the only restaurant that claims to have authentic coneys and actually does have authentic coneys. They also have the correct dressing for a Detroit Greek Salad. I wrote a poor review for the hotdog place in Deerfield. It closed down, probably due to bad location. But they lied about having authentic coneys. I thought it was hopeless. Not that I eat a ton of hotdogs, but I appreciate that this place knows what they are selling. The other food is good. It’s not fine dining, it’s bar food, comfort food, American food. Service was friendly and good, even though they were very busy.

I must say the staff here is pretty great and they’ve never messed my order up. The food is typical Florida bar food but it’s decent. I usually get the pecan chicken salad, but the last time I got It I added blue cheese and it literally smelled like dog feces, so I probably will never order blue cheese again…

Grand Tavern is 2 minutes off 95, has a cheerful happy hour and serves classic Detroit coney dogs. It is stuck in the 80’s and has no regrets about it. GT doesn’t take the modern chic Sports bar seriously. It’s a clean sports bar joint that represents the Detroit clubs. There is Red Wings regalia and the other teams colors throughout the bar and dining room. There is some representation of some Florida teams, but no Midwest teams of course. Some coworkers and I stopped in after work just the other day. One gal in our group is from Detroit so it was a great spot for her. The rest of us were just glad for the convenience of the location. They have a classic happy hour, with a classic menu. We got the jalapeño dip and drinks. The app was short on chips, but the waitress was great and the drinks were solid. There are better options in the area, but worse as well. Stop in for a Coney though.

It’s not everyday that I write a review with 5 stars. I wanted to start off my review with that sentence. The reason I’m giving this establishment 5 stars on this day is because the service was superb, the food was excellent, and the attention to detail was bar none. I chose the Grand tavern today because I wanted to have a lunch that I didn’t want to drive thru for. I entered the establishment and was quickly addressed and told to sit anywhere. I sat at a booth at the back of the restaurant. The waitress came up and gave me the specials of the day. Also when I came in the specials of the day were written on a chalkboard to the left of the hostess area. Based on the suggestion by the waitress, I chose the Cuban sandwich with fries and I also added a small Caesar salad. The Caesar salad came out almost immediately and it was very good. Also the croutons tasted like they were just recently toasted. Also the portion size for a side Caesar was pretty big. Luckily, I came in with a big appetite. About five minutes later the Cuban sandwich came in. OMG! It was really good. Now, I am CUBAN so I know what a good Cuban sandwich taste like. For an American tavern, this was really good. I took a photo of it for you guys and the presentation was pretty good. I also ask for mayonnaise for my french fries(I am that guy). After eating my lunch slowly and savoring every bite, the waitress came up to me and asked me if I would be interested in dessert. Interestingly, instead of showing me a menu of desserts, she showed me a new product that they are selling for lunch dessert. It is a product call a cake pop. It was interesting that she inform me where the cake pop came from. It came from a local bakery. I was impressed with this and wanted to mention this in my review. I highly recommend this restaurant, grand tavern, on Linton Boulevard near 10th Street if you want to go for lunch.
