Last night was the first and last time at this restaurant. Service was terrible from start to finish and food was worse. Martinis were brought to the table not filled despite a $ 17 charge. Asked for a second basket of rolls but they were never brought. 3 of 4 dinners brought to table with 4th delivered several minutes later. Filet mignon was over cooked and had no taste despite server saying that steak is in top 2% of beef. Hamburger was not firm in consistency and tasted terrible. Asked for lemon rind for espresso. Took a second server to bring it after 10 minutes. In fairness, restaurant offered and did bring 2 complimentary desserts of our choice. Too little too late.

My complaint to management: I approached the hostess and asked to be seated in the out side seating area(reference photo at time of incident attached). She said that that area was for dinner only. I replied that I planned on having dinner. She said ok and asked how many. I answered 3 but that I didn’t know if anyone else was having dinner but that I definitely was and that they would be ordering drinks. As soon as I said that only I was for sure having dinner is when seating seemed to become a problem. She spoke in the ear of a man(business card that he gave me stating that is him and his title is attached) who had just walked up to the stand and he looked at me and replied that that area was for dinner only. I repeated that I was having dinner and from that point on the tone of these two people changed to what I felt to basically to be «you’re not getting seated». He told me there was at least a 45 minute wait, which the hostess had not mentioned before, in fact before I told her I was the only one definitely having dinner it seemed she was about to seat me and my party of 3 even reaching for menus. I looked at him and said that there were plenty of seats outside and no one waiting. He diverted the conversation and said the inside seating was full. I said I didn’t want inside seating, I asked for outside. I walked away, they still hadn’t even taken my name to be seated for a 45 minute wait. My friends and I finished our drinks which was another 10 – 15 minutes and the seats outside still remained open. I started thinking about it and it upset me because I just don’t understand why these people would not let me eat my dinner here when there was plenty of seating still open. I went back inside and the man was by himself at the hostess stand and I said to him, «I’m not asking you to seat me anymore, but I just want to let you know, that I am upset that you lied to me because there is still plenty of seating, and it hurt my feelings because I just don’t understand why, and now I have to leave and go somewhere else to eat dinner. He did not apologize or offer anything, he just shrugged his shoulders. I went back outside to my friends told them what had happened. Against my wishes, my sister in law when inside to the man and asked him to apologize, he did not. We left went to Tryst, got seated right away had dinner, were joined there by our 2 other Delray local friends and spent $ 120 within 40 minutes. I heard that Salt7 has great sushi but I was not allowed the opportunity to find out for myself. If I had been a food critic from a network show and had this experience it would not reflect well on the company if I shared my experience with my audience. I don’t expect anything from this but I am curious to see how Salt7 management handles situations like this, when brought to their attention. Update: Management did nothing to resolve this matter with me personally. Management only focused on the actions of someone I had been with but knew nothing as to what they were doing while there. Terrible experience with no resolution. I won’t be going back to this establishment and will tell others of my negative experience.

Without even pulling the price into consideration, this food is nothing more than bland cafeteria or hospital food. You know exactly what I mean! Sushi at this price should not be conveyor belt quality(actually, conveyor is waaaay better… Grocery store sushi, even). The sushi that sat before me was packed with nothing but rice, hardly any fish sushi — literally, I couldn’t even see the fish in the roll it was that small of a portion. This is by far the blandest sushi I’ve had in so long. Ordering both the tuna poke and the aloha roll, those anywhere else would pack some flavor! Here, not so much. If you want sushi in Delray, don’t go here. Or if you do, prepare for disappointment.

WORST place ever! We were visiting from NYC. The bartender forgot to give us a receipt and when we repeatedly requested one, they called the cops on us! Really? Luckily the cops later apologized and so did the security guard because they realized the bartender had no basis. I will be letting everyone I know NOT to go to this place EVER!!!

Sophisticated ambience! Love the low, sexy lighting. The hamachi app was a great way to start our dinner… beautiful presentation and very fresh. The rainbow roll tasted fine but lacked in presentation. For entrees, we ordered the rib eye and skillet shrimp. My date said that his steak was cooked perfectly and tasted really tender and delicious. My entrée was def a bit disappointing! I love curries and coconut cream and I love shrimp. While this sauce had nice flavor, the entrée presentation was so unimpressive with two large mounds of rice swimming in an overwhelming pool of red sauce. The shrimp were way too small and tasteless, and they were lost swimming in all of the sauce. Please switch to using larger, good quality shrimp Salt 7! I love your place!

Had another great steak at Salt7 tonight. The filet, salt style(topped with sautéed mushrooms, onions, thyme), medium rare, is truly outstanding. I usually don’t get steak sauce, but the sauce here is amazing, and that’s not hyperbole. One of the best steaks I’ve had, including Cut 432, Prime 112, NY prime and similar places in other cities. The bar is indoor/outdoor with a great vibe and décor. Great place to meet a friend for a drink or happy hour. Cocktail list is good, wine list is decent, could be better. Have always had good service, friendly waiters and bartenders. Having eaten here a bunch of times, I can say the steak is consistently great, although the other entrées and appetizers are inconsistent, which is what holds this place back from being a 5 star restaurant. The atmosphere in the bar area and the steak are 5 stars though. Overall, it’s been a great addition to the Delray restaurant scene.

This is my favorite bar in all of Palm Beach. I highly recommend it and the burger. Best burger I’ve had in the USA! And the keylime martini, which is not on the menu is amazing :)

The bar was pretty but $ 24 for two drinks is a little insane– even by east delray standards.

..dog-friendly has absolutely nothing to do with it… it is completely UNSANITARY … .and your dining patrons deserve much more consideration than having to be subject to someone’s pet ‘cleansing’ itself on the sofas right alongside where they are eating

Salt7 Sunday Brunch is an experience like no other. Claps for having unlimited mimosas & bloody marys with exceptional great tasting authentic food. I went with about three friends. We receieved the candy tower, which i must say adds a nice touch to brunch! It is something different, you do not see it everywhere. Honestly the entire brunch experience has never been duplicated before to my knowledge. I truly don’t want to give away all the good stuff but YOUHAVETOTRYITFORYOURSELF! I am definitely going back especially for New Years! Shout out to Kyle for the opportunity and thank you so much! I will be returning for sure. Delray Beach is on the come up and Salt7 is on the list of top places for Brunch.

Good happy hour!!! Good sushi, beef sliders and drinks. A place for the younger Delray crowd meaning under 40.

I popped in here with a group of people last night and it was crowded. There were a lot of people waiting to get a drink and we thankfully didn’t have to wait long to get one. I didn’t realize they have food there until I saw it on some prior reviews. Apparently, they have a decent happy hour that’s worth checking out too. I can’t speak for the food since I didn’t order any. Maybe that tempting happy hour will change that thought for next time.

As a local, I know the scene pretty well and it’s interesting to see people like the«place». IMO this place is all(and possibly only) about the location, it has nothing else to offer. Food is terrible, yes, it’s terrible. I’m a humble person and trust me for me to say the food is terrible is a big deal. Drinks are ok, nothing exceptional, staff is hit or miss. Some are friendly and work hard some seem to have this attitude that they are some«hot stuff» and don’t have a clue about service or entertainment. The reason why I give this salt7 a 2 star is because for the location and super outrageous high prices I do expect a high level of service, not food that makes me feel sick or glasses that smell wierd. I don’t go there unless a friend wants to spot the scene, and forces me to, but I would go to other places,(not the office either) :)

I’m pretty disappointed by this place. I’m sure this review is biased, because I had a crappy night overall(on my birthday), but I was NOT treated well here and the staff was absolutely less than accommodating to me. This was the last stop on a mini bar hop for me and boyfriend. At that point, we were both tipsy for sure. But there was no issue with letting us in, nobody was even taking ID’s at the door. A few hours go by, I had another drink. At some point we get separated, and of course someone’s phone was dead. Of course. So I had to try and find him. This involved walking around the place a few times, and me getting more and more frustrated as I was failing. I guess at a certain point I made the mistake of walking outside the front«boundaries”/velvet ropes of the establishment. What didn’t help my case is the fact that I had a wine glass in hand, okay. But when the bouncer refused to let me back inside-I was angry. He didn’t give me a reason, even after he just saw me walk out. It’s not like he was looking for a cover charge. I told him I was alone and looking for my date who I couldn’t exactly text. Nope, didn’t care. I refused to let that go-tried to walk around the side but got followed. As I started to sob because I was scared and alone-he suggested I sit on the bench alone outside of the club for 45 minutes until they closed-at 2 am. Panicking, I continued to walk along the streets until I magically got a call that boy had walked back to the car to charge his phone and was a block away and told me to hop in the car. I really wanted to like this place. I liked the atmosphere, I liked the décor and the music, and the outside seating arrangements. But when the staff is willing to treat vulnerable female patrons like crap and leave them crying alone on the street, in a strange city, on their birthday-that’s not okay.

MANYGREATQUALITIES! The good: Great Hotdogs appetizers. Yum — on pretzel bread. Plus the location. Cant beat it. Indoor /outdoor seating. Actually ALL their food is exceptional! The not so good: Bar service is. sorry to say — bad! can take 20 mins to get a drink, even when its slow. the bright spot is a new bartender named Bronwyn, one of the few thats really efficient and actually friendly. A plus: they do have a lot of sponsored events. charity etc… and they do them VERY well, it gets super crowded, but they do get out of their box and go for it. and they are very busy on weekend nights, but best left for the 20 – 40 year olds. but be prepared to not easily get a drink, and if you manage to get service order two, they dont come back often! Overall, its a 5 star place with 5 star management!

Very trendy! Loved the atmosphere and location of Salt7. Drinks were great! Had the Black Salt Margarita, which was probably the best rita I have had while being down in South Florida. Ask for Ruben as your server! He was excellent! My party decided to just get a bunch of food and share it and he asked us if he could space it out and we said yes, he did a great job coming out with each course, one after the other with clean plates and new silverware. Food was great! I was very happy with our choices in food! Excellent experience!

Why did I go here for my birthday dinner??? When there are such amazing restaurants in Delray Beach!!! I really wanted to try this place for awhile. But I was sadly disappointed. First off our server was tired or annoyed. He hardly said anything and seemed to disappear. We waited a good 10 to 15 minutes after our meal for him to come back so we could ask for a dessert menu. We ended up just asking for the check since it took too long. I really did like the whole set up of Salt7. It’s a contemporary minimalist appearance restaurant. They have comfy seating inside and outdoors to enjoy the Atlantic Ave. As far as the food is concerned we ordered a couple of sushi rolls and appetizer. They are known for their sushi or steak. Since we do not eat steak we ordered sushi. The sushi rolls had very high quality seafood within them. However some of the roll pieces were falling apart in one of the rolls. We ordered the chili shrimp appetizer which was delicious and the sauce was on point. I would like to try their seafood entrees next time but I’m not sure if I’m going back. The service was indifferent and maybe the servers don’t care since many tourists come there. Salt7 you have a lot going for you: your in a great location, you serve high quality food. Please get your servers on check.~

Salt7 is a fusion of a steakhouse n seafood plus sushi. A perfect delray Atlantic avenue restaurant. The place is definitely on the meat packing district style compared to some of the other charmed restaurants across the street like trimonte. Now the prices are on the higher side but that is expected as they must be paying an arm and a leg for rent. We tried the shrimp with the salt7 sauce which was very delicious and we tried 2 rolls shrimp tempura once again with the tasty salt7 sauce and the aloha roll which was definitely different than any other rolls we have ever tried. As far as service is concerned it was average and could have definitely been better but I guess on a Sunday night everyone is tired and so was our server and most probably wanting to get out of work. But I still gave it a 4 stars. P.S Wednesday nights they have $ 4 sushi not sure but will try to catch a Wednesday next time.

Oh Salt 7, your happy hour has lured me in time after time. The happy hour here is one of the best on the ave. Delicious and very reasonably priced craft cocktails and beer, and a bar bits menu that will blow you out of the water(get the crispy lamb mac n cheese and the filet sliders!). They have this house sauce that is liquid gold. It comes with the sliders and a bartender told me they also sneak it in that mac n cheese. I can’t even describe what is in it — you need to ask for it and thank me when you are done licking the bowl. As far as establishment and staff? They won’t hire anyone who doesn’t rate at least a 9 — they are all beautiful. Sometimes the service lacks, though. And the clientele gets really questionable(for my taste) after happy hour. But then again, I prefer laid back and welcoming — Salt 7 diners turn into a group that seem to all be trying to out impress each other. But it works for the space — it is gorgeous, and it is wonderful for people watching. If you want to try this place I suggest happy hour first. It is hard to beat and supremely delicious!
