Yum in the tum! Always pass by but never think to stop in for a late brekky! Busy around 10:30 but was taken to outside area that had a lovely breeze and quiet… I could actually hear everyone at the table! My eggs Benedict was perfect & my hash browns were extra crispy but still cooked through… restaurants have a hard time making them cooked let alone crispy… servers and busers super on point & I would def go back… so big up to Sande :)

Awesome spot! Great prices! Very good home cooking feel to it! Great place to go on a Sunday. Smoking patio outside. Everything is absolutely delicious. The staff is super friendly and know you by name. If you are in Florida, make sure this place is one of your places to eat.

A great friendly diner. Stopped in here for lunch on a rainy day with my mom, aunt, and grandmother and we had excellent service. Our server was super sweet, especially when working with my 98 year old Nana who can’t hear very well anymore. We all loved our meals, I got the Reuben sandwich with the potato salad(yum!), my aunt got their Philly cheese steak hoagie, mom got the stuffed tomato salad with Tuna, and Nana got the egg salad sandwich. Everything hit the spot, especially the hot tea on such a blustery day. It is cash only so be prepared!

You gotta try the crunchy french toast! I am not a «sweets» person, but I cannot visit this place without splitting an order of that french toast. The food is good, it’s always nice to see the owner, Sande, at the front. It’s a little«divey» but that is part of its charm. Service and food quality is consistent. Overall, a great little breakfast spot!

If you’re a Coulrophobia sufferer then you may be weary of the clown photos and art that adorn the place — but it’s a great little place to have breakfast with lots of regular local customers. They have a porch on the side/back for diners that wish to smoke. The service is friendly, the food good, but remember to take cash as they don’t accept credit cards. That said, however, they do have an ATM right up front.

Great local eatery hidden from the main streets. Laid back atmosphere. Everyone is so. NIce and friendly. I try to stop by a few times a week. The food is always good and is very affordable. Worth a try if you are I. Delray beach

Sande’s is a quaint family owned restaurant where all the locals go. Upon walking in, locals are greeted with a warm hello. This communication between the customers and workers contributes to the pleasant atmosphere. The food is always good and very reasonably priced. Service is usually fast and good. I would recommend to anyone looking for a cheap, quick breakfast. Inside looks a little older but doesn’t take away from the great taste.

It was alright. The food wasn’t anything special, but the service was very nice.

Have driven by here a million times and decided to check it out today for breakfast. Place is immaculate, staff is super friendly and quick, food is delicious and cheap. Try the crunchy French toast. It’s encrusted with Cap’n Crunch! Simple yummy food.

Great diner style breakfast/lunch. Good comfort food. Cash only. Probably all locals. Craving grilled cheese recently and I had grilled Swiss on rye with tomato and onion. Off the tourists beat and path. Will be back!

Came across this when we discovered our original destination had burned down(bummer). However, I was thrilled with the food and service we received from Sande’s. The food was excellent and the waitresses took very good care of our family. We had breakfast, I had biscuts and gravy, very tasty. We definitely would go back to breakfast here, it is just a little far for us to drive to regularly. Prices were very reasonable!

I’ve been to this place when I was about 7 and again throughout the years. It deffinintly was not as good as I had recalled when I went recently. My biscuits and gravy were cold and the waitress was really rude to us. «this is a basic place nothing fancy sorry if it’s not good enough» was her response when I asked if they had iced coffee. Never again will I go here.

We went there this morning. I had two eggs, biscuits and gravy with home fries. Kelly two eggs, cornbeef hash and home fries. Both were very good. Except the biscuits were a bit hard. The place was packed as always on a sunday. So we sat at the patio. It’s Covered with a painted wall. We liked it, I can smoke out there. The staff has changed since the last time there. But they were very friendly. Never had to wait for a refill on coffee. That’s a great job on their part, cause they were slammed. The parking lot is good size. But it does get full. Luckly you can park on the street. The place has been there forever. It’s gota be 30 plus years. They do simple food that comes out hot and fast.

I love this place, I’ve been coming here since I was a little girl. Many locals dine here, probably for the small town atmosphere and the good prices. I absolutely love their biscuits and gravy!

Great local fav for breakfast and lunch. We’ve been going here for years and the owners, Sande, Shane & Jim are great, the staff is great too. Excellent diner food, our favorites are veggie omelet, eggs benedict, fish sandwich. For you tourists, you don’t have to go on Atlantic Ave to eat, you’ll love this place, quality and prices are good. Remember it’s not fancy, it’s a diner… just get in there!

I’m surprised at the lack of reviews of this place, but judging by the looks of the crowd that comes here, I doubt many are Unilocalers. Average customers are seniors, but I’ve seen some youngsters here and there. But most of the time, my boyfriend and I are the youngest customers there. On the weekends, this place gets pretty busy, but there’s always a table to sit at. Food is the typical diner menu, but prices are pretty decent. I would say my favorites are the Eggs Benedict, as well as the Corn Hash Benedict. Today I tried their crunchy french toast, which I highly would recommend, served with some sausage links. I’ve never had crunchy french toast, and although it’s probably not your most healthy breakfast choice, it’s definitely a must try for any new customers. Coffee is decent and never too bitter. Definitely will come back to this place. Make sure to bring enough cash as they do not accept credit cards. You pay at the cashier once you’re done eating.

I had high hopes when i spotted this diner style restaurant as i passed through Delray but it didn’t take long for the excitement to diminish. Other than being filthy, the waitresses basically wish you had gone elsewhere by the way they look after the customers. In the hour I spent there, no less than 10 people(out of 14 in the restaurant) had to ask(beg) for coffee. I guess management is so cheap that they spend their nights figuring out the savings on not having to refill all those coffee cups. TIP: sit anywhere that the younger blond waitress isn’t serving. Now, on the Management it looks like the time has passed for these owners and they should get rid of it. Way Overpriced meals, portions that barely fill 40% of the plates, and about the cheapest quality of products they can buy. The bacon on my plate was so thin I could have used it to trace a picture. My breakfast order had to be sent back to the kitchen 4 times for them to get it right, as ordered and the Manager didn’t even offer up a free muffin. Wake up People! When your charging $ 8 – 9 for an omelet, or eggs when it cost you a buck, even the sleepiest of customers(which it seemed there was a lot of) expect a decent value. It looks like their customers got smart over time and went elsewhere and now they’re jacking the few that are left to make the same profit. There’s a lot of nice, good value places for breakfast in Delray that I’ve enjoyed on previous business trips, but this one is a complete DUD! Oh yeah, they only take CASH, so it’s pretty obious that they’re not only screweing their customers, but the tax department too. DON’T WASTEYOURTIMEORMONEY!

Horrible, absolutelly horrible food. It was highly recomended but man, either they lost their tastebuds or have never been to a good restaurant. The«hollandaise» sauce was literally a runny cream and flour mix. The hashbrowns were mushy and the steak and eggs my father chose were flavorless and mediocre. The juice comes out of kids lunch-sized carton. I would rather starve for a couple of hours than return to sandes. Best of luck to the brave souls who decide to walk inside.
