This bar is a great addition to downtown Delray. They are located inside Café Martier though a curtain. The wooden décor is very dark and retro. Really interesting décor utilizing old light bulbs, chandeliers and wooden frames on the ceiling. They have an interesting drink menu ranging in the $ 12-$ 15 a drink. Old meets hipster.

Cute little find in Delray Beach. Cool atmosphere. Love the theme but only one of the drinks appealed to me. I was excited to try it out but quite disappointed after seeing the menu and trying different appetizers. The bar bites were just okay too. Nothing special. I probably won’t be back.

This«hidden» speakeasy isn’t really hidden… it’s actually a very well known typical Atlantic Ave crowd in this bar. I was slightly disappointed as I’m always looking for hidden gems in Delray. I will say the inside is pretty cool if you can get past all of the usual offenders that makes up Delray, unfortunately I can not.

What a great spot! Hubby and I ventured in last night after wanting to try this place for awhile. Service at this speakeasy bar is super friendly and personable, and the drinks are handcrafted and unusual. I LOVE the cocktail menu! Tons of choices that incorporate many different fruits and vegetables — most are priced in the $ 13-$ 14 range, but it’s reasonable for what you get. They also offer a Bar Bites menu, and have Happy Hour Tuesday — Thursday from 7pm to 9pm — $ 5 off all cocktails on their menu. Keep in mind that the Old Arcade opens at 7pm, right when Happy Hour at the regular Caffe Martier bar ends… so you can enjoy both! We’ll be back!

Very unusual place. Hard to find and hidden for a reason. This place is in downtown Delray beach. It’s an original location going to back to the depression era when alcohol was probated. Few hidden walkways and alleyways to get to the main bar. It’s filled with antique décor. One of Delray’s original hidden gem that i recommend those who haven’t been to Delray or those who go to Delray should check out

Erika and Juan are absolutely amazing. Even with a full bar and the amount of work it takes to make one drink there, they give you their full attention. If you’re looking for a unique experience with great cocktails, you need to go here.

If you’ve just stumbled upon the Old Arcade on Unilocal, consider yourself lucky because you’ve just found the only place left in downtown Delray where you can get creative cocktails with classic service. That’s right, at this place, your bartender may actually care about you and the drink they serve. Had the Campfire, the Strawberry Jam, and the Green Goddess, plus a few amazing picks from the staff. Fantastic service with an atmosphere to match. Definitely going back.

We very unsurely walked down a dark alley until we saw a blue neon sign leading us to this wonderful little treat of Delray. The dimly lit, classic bar atmosphere almost brings you back in time to a slower paced world. I felt like I had entered a secret after hours bar from the 20’s. The music playing was new age but very entrancing. There is a large community style table as well as other comfortable seating, if you do not want to sit at the bar. There is a menu with their current specialty drinks ranging from vodka to Brazilian rum to smokey whiskey. Each beverage is carefully made and wonderfully presented. Again, the craft put into each drink transports you to a different place. If you’re a strict vodka water, jack and coke, or beer kind of person, this is not the place for you. The bar staff was friendly and knowledgeable about their selections off the menu. At around $ 13 – 15 a drink it’s not an ideal place to party the night away. This is a spot can go with a date after dinner, or with a group of friends just to enjoy the ambiance and delicious drinks. Next time I’m in Delray, another visit will be in order.

Where’s James??? The secret behind this speakeasy was the awesome bartender James. A real mixologist ! Had an incredible talent to use hundreds of flavors to mix a one of a kind drink. Many of the«potions» were items of his own creation(bitters, etc). Apparently he is gone. Won’t quite be the same…

Found this hidden gem by way of Groupon and I’m so glad I did. I didn’t purchase the Groupon deal but it peaked my interest enough to bookmark it for my recent stay in Delray. Downtown Delray Beach is the last place I’d expect a speakeasy bar, but it’s a welcome addition and nice respite from the crowded restaurant and bar scene on Atlantic Ave. It’s relatively small inside, but it you sit at the bar you definitely can get to know your bartender and the history of this place. Drinks change based on the season and the staff’s ability to create their own specialty cocktails as well. We ordered off the menu, however, later found out that a new drink with white peach tea was in the making which is just my style. It was also fun to find the back alley entrance behind Caffe Martier, there’s a neon sign and it’s not too difficult to find.

The drinks and service were amazing. The bartender accidentally spilled a drink all over me, and they comped all our drinks. Definitely coming back

This place is a hidden gem, next time you’re in Delray stop by to have the best unique cocktail you’ll ever have! I’ve brought a group of friends one night & I came back the next weekend to show my dad this rare speakeasy. My dad checked in on Facebook, and minutes later James our bartender came over with two cocktails he put together that were on him, which tasted amazing! The atmosphere is great for a chill night to enjoy a few fresh cocktails. Can’t wait to show another group of friends this place!

We went here last night for drinks. Awesome little gem! It’s an original 100 year old speakeasy. The dark wood and décor takes you back in time. Great atmosphere! The drinks were amazing. We had the Colbert Bump, Bee Sting, Arcade Campfire, Terroir Squad, and the Matcha Picchu. My personal favourite was the Colbert Bump, which was a little piña colada-y. The Bee Sting was a close second. If you are a rum drinker, get the Colbert Bump. The terroir squad is interesting, very good, but interesting. The matcha Picchu was kind of margarita-y and we all liked it. The Arcade Campfire was strong and a very good sipping drink. We all had our favourites but honestly, anything you order will be fantastic. We will certainly be back! I had originally written they didn’t have a happy hour, but the Old Arcade informed me that they do! I was there later in the evening and didn’t see any advertisements for a happy hour and figured since it opened at a time most happy hours end, they didn’t have one! But they do! It’s 7 – 9 Mon — Thurs, discounted beer, wine, well liquor, and $ 10 craft cocktails. It opens at 7, so don’t arrive before then expecting it to be open! It’s more of a later night hot spot.

This place is a joke. Extremely dirty… Wait forever to get a drink when there are three people in the place. Then can’t get a check when you’re trying desperately to leave. Don’t try to get any water either.

what a treasured little find in Delray! so happy to have experienced this gem this past weekend. located inside behind some sketchy big curtains of Caffe Martier, the speakeasy vibey place is the real deal. dark sexy sultry, nice chairs to enjoy your craft made with care and detail cocktail. i was torn between so many but the one with the bison grass polish wodka won my heart of course believe it was called green goddess, an ode to myself perhaps, i kid! nevertheless, get your caboose in there stat and enjoy the vibes, the dranks, the records and of course most importantly the company you are with!

In South Florida, it’s rare to find an establishment with such vested history, such as the 110-year-old speakeasy in Delray Beach that just re-opened at its original secret location. If you’re in a spirits aficionado who loves old school speakeasies with secret passageways straight out of the Prohibition era, then the Old Arcade is the place. From their original wood-carved bar with name plates of former patrons still nailed to its wall, enjoy cocktails such as their Arcade Campfire, Prospect Park and Bee Sting. With its dark, intimate setting and great barkeeps who know their drinks, the Old Arcade is definitely one of my favorite hangouts now in PBC.

I stopped in here with my husband after dinner on the Ave. Saturday night. We used a Groupon($ 25 for a three cocktail flight, value $ 45) and we paid for an additional fourth drink. We came in through the back alley entrance with neon signs, but could have just as easily saved a trip around the block and walked in through Caffé Martier and gone through the heavy velvet curtain into the sectioned off bar. Not sure if they will be closing that in eventually, but we found it kind of silly to be told to walk in that way. Yes, it adds to the experience slightly, but high heels in a rickety alley street are not fun. Upon entering there is a great old-world feel to the interior with dark wood paneling, a gorgeous carved wood bar with turned leg columns, antiques galore, and nice art on the walls. It is pretty small and intimate, like a cozy study… there’s even a little library of old books behind the bar. The only thing it needs is a faux fireplace to complete the picture. I was impressed with the drink menu of classic cocktails with an upscale twist, served by James who clearly has an artful hand. A exuberant and slightly inebriated couple at the bar touted his mixology talents with gusto as we looked over the drink menu making our decision. There is a good selections of bourbons, and a larger than usual selection of gins which I appreciate. Mason jars of herbs lined shelves behind the bar. We ordered the Ramblin’ Rose, an upgrade to the classic French 75, and The Rockford Peach(an upgraded Southside). Later I selected a Prospect Park(deluxe Manhattan). My husband enjoyed the Rockford Peach so much he had a second. All were delicious but the Prospect Park stole the show for me with a complex combination of smoky whiskey, italian vermouth and maraschino cherry liqueur– yum! It was a quiet small crowd, and we sat along the back wall in a comfy vintage upholstered armchair and loveseat. My husband chatted with the bartender about the history of the location, and James told us where the original entrance was and pointed out some darker wood wall panels where a secret tunnel to the beach used to be located. Due to changing shorelines and the passage of time, the tunnel is closed up and lost now. We are history nerds and found the forgotten past of the speakeasy very fun. We both agreed we would definitely return to this hidden gem for some quality cocktails in a lovely atmosphere again. It does not feel like a typical Atlantic Ave. bar which is great! We definitely recommend… just don’t tell too many people… This little Speakeasy would be best kept as a secret haven in Delray.

I took the back entrance, you’ll see the neon sign in the alley. Inside is filled with great old décor that’s still slightly trying to find a semblance of identity. But the drinks served to provide all the identity needed. A really stellar place that asks to check your pretentions at the door, because the bar has enough of them to start(and that’s a good thing.) The idea here is that you take some time out of your day to appreciate a well mixed and designed alcoholic beverage as opposed to a shot and soda…

The best kept secret of Downton Delray is this(hidden) gem, accessible only through their back alley entrance behind Caffe Martier. The bartender James is beyond talented and creates the best prohibition style cocktails. My favorite is the«Georgia Fizz» a must try.
