Probably one of the worst restaurants on Cape I’ve ever been to. Service was decent. I had the Shrimp scampi pasta which the pasta was over cooked and the sauce was watered down. Desert was terrible and the coffee was a fresh pot from 2 days ago. Most likely will never go back.

Had lunch today at Clancy’s, had more than enough servers which was great. Our waitress was excellent, the specials menu was very good. They’re prime rib sandwich on specials menus was one of the best I’ve ever had and the Pastrami special was equally as good. Excellent overall experience. It’s now a go to for us.

View is nice, but food is nothing spectacular. I’ve had better(and less expensive) scallops at Hot Stove in Harwich. When our drinks were brought out, there was a fly in my friends martini. The waiter tried to make light of the situation with a joke, but yet didn’t apologize which should have been the 1st thing out of his mouth.

It’s been a while since we last ate here but we always enjoyed the food, the setting and the atmosphere. They do a good job with dinner but you’re paying a bit more for the location on the river which is hard to beat. The sea scallops are fantastic and worth it for sure. We’ll be back for sure.

The view here is spectacular beautiful place to watch the sunset. The food here was really good to. We had the stuffed shrimp, the scampi and the little necks in clam sauce. All meals were very good. Our server was ocean *sp? and he was an excellent server very friendly funny and accommodating. Also, i loved the salt scrub they offer in the restrooms which is available for purchase. I regret not buying some to take home.

One of the worst local restaurants. As a Dennis resident for over 50 years, take my advice. Go to Wee Packet diner.

We came here for our wedding rehearsal dinner, and everyone loved it. Used to come here many years ago when visiting the Cape, and it was great then too! There were about 17 of us and they were very accommodating and attentive to us. Our wedding party all said how great the food was, and there were even other guests of ours that came for dinner while up at the Cape for our wedding who said they had loved it also! Not sure why other reviewers are so negative — our experience seems to definitely be the opposite! We will absolutely return when visiting!

Over the years I have given this place so many chances because of its proximity to my home and my job. They won’t be getting any more of my money, the food is awful and the prices are ridiculous. It’s greasy, always over cooked or under, and the lobster roll made me so sick I had to leave work. Too bad, it used to be so good.

Excellent food — large portions — great service! If you’re in the area, you should definitely give it a try.

Food was good, ambience is nice. However we came late for dinner. The waitress seemed unfriendly as if she didn’t like her job, must be because she was tired. Another employee was vacuuming near our table which felt uncomfortable when eating. There were other guests at their tables as well.

I really think all the bad reviews were people who didn’t have their asses kissed or were fired former employees because I can’t find one fault in anything. Incredible food, service was better than most and the drinks rock. Locals go here… Not loser wannabes who give sad stories of not being treated like a Kennedy… get over yourself! Clancy’s rocks!

So sad. We use to come here almost every day for more of my life during the summer. A couple years ago they changed owners and changed their recipe to the boneless wings that use to be my favorite meal in the world. Aside that, their rolls used to be delicious garlic sticks now they give you only as many rolls as people you come with and aren’t even worth it. If you didn’t like the rolls then don’t be surprised when you find they just split them open to put in their French onion soup too… Who does that? The potato skins use to be thick and filled with mashed potatoes mixed with bacon unlike any place you could ever find. Now they taste like they were bought in the freezer section. Altogether sad.

We have given the new owners so many chances, but we have officially given up. For years, as we came over the bridge, the foremost thought in our minds was getting to Clancy’s. We would even do a ‘Clancy’s walk’ in the parking lot to get ahead of other diners. No more. We never looked at the menu, we ordered the same thing every time. The waitresses, that we knew by name, would comment on how much we could eat. We brought every friend that visited to Clancy’s. No more. It’s awful. The buffalo tenders are bitter and dry. The potato skins are undercooked and greasy. The onion soup is flavorless broth with flavorless cheese. I won’t go on. It’s awful.

We are there tonight. They must have written the positive reviews themselves as the marls we had were at best below average meals. Service was average but nothing special. The prices were high for what they served. I would say avoid this one!

I am sorry to do this, but I think other people should know. I also apologize to Unilocal for not reading the horrible reviews first as we experienced the same issues. Here is the story: We are long time residents of the town of Dennis. We have seen hundreds of businesses on the Cape come and go. Some good and some bad, but I just don’t understand Clancy’s. We have been going there for years, both in season(long wait times) and off season. A few years back it was fabulous, then the original owner died and the place turned horrible. So we stopped going. Clancy’s seemed to survive without me, my family and my friends, so it was not an issue. However last Monday night(Labor Day) my sisters and I along with some dear neighbors decided to go to Clancy’s for an «end of summer» dinner. First my sister called to see if we could make a reservation and was told«We do not take reservations) Ok we get that(not really) so we went at 6 pm. When we got, there the place was virtually empty. There was one person at the bar, a few on the patio and maybe 10 in the restaurant. As our two friends were just pulling up we were told we could not be seated for a drink until all of us arrived. Why I don’t know. There were 5 hostesses standing around and no one seemed to take any interest in our presence. But a minute later, when our two friends arrived, one hostess(I THINK) begrudgingly walked us toward a table. I guessed we were to follow. The restaurant was empty yet we were ushered to a table by the front door. When we asked to be seated at a different table for a better view we were told that it couldn’t happen because all the tables that were set were reserved(no reservations)?? Ok this is getting crazy. Then one of my sisters was very upset and spoke to one of the rude and disinterested hostesses and the situation instantly escalated. I guess at Clancy’s the customer has NORIGHTSATALL. The woman actually took the stern position that she had the right to argue and when my sister asked«why the attitude» she was rudely met with«I don’t have an attitude», Really? It was then that we decided that we did not want our food to be tampered with, our service to be deliberately horrible and our drinks small and tasteless, so we left. Never to return again!!! Later we read theYELP reviews and saw that others had the exact same complaints. Maybe the owner should read his own reviews and apologize to all that he has offended. Think of all the people who didn’t say anything! A recent govt sponsored TARP study on consumer satisfaction states that«a happy customer will tell 5 people but and unhappy one will tell 20». I can assure you that my family and friends will exceed that 20 this month alone.
